  2. I'm on the record in the Draft thread that McCarthy is going to get a GM fired if he's picked in the first round. He's a total JAG and has been ass in games against good teams. Pray a team you hate drafts him.
  3. kind of a "genie out of the bottle" situation I'd guess. Not sure if the email was sent to parents or to staff/teachers.
  4. that would be an awful trade for the Falcons.
  5. Story my wife heard was that the Cedar Ridge principal sent out an email saying there was going to be a delay before it was decided. So they had to go ahead and do the delay thanks to that. Several of our friends are RRHS teachers so that's where it came from.
  6. This is why I don't get the whining about the transfer portal and NIL. Coaches have been doing this since the start. Now that the players can it's a problem? Cry me a river.

  8. Not sure why this myth persists but several NFL coaches make more than Saban and the idea that the NFL is an "easier" gig is also a myth. It's a workaholic league.
  9. Y'all may think he's joking but I would have list of courses and would work my way down the list(s) until I got a full schedule. This was a real thing. Got a lot easier once you were taking nothing but upper division courses but anything with a 0 or 1 as the second digit was just hunting.
  10. Having the GOAT looking over your shoulder will definitely keep some candidates away.
  11. Today is the deadline for teams to exchange salary figures with their arbitration eligible players. For the Astros, this is Valdez, Tucker, Urquidy, Dubon, Garcia, Abreu and McCormick. The Astros are currently projected over the CBT, but the Astros could balance that line by having salaries that are agreed upon to lower the number. (Which I think you should pay the players what they are worth and not low ball them) Per FanGraphs, they are projecting: -Valdez: $12,100,000 -Tucker: $12,600,000 -Urquidy: $3,500,000 -Dubon: $3,100,000 -Garcia: $2,100,000 -Abreu: $2,000,000 -McCormick: $3,100,000 REMINDER: Salary figures are not factoring in postseason play, just regular season stats. The Astros will try to settle with their players today, if they don't, then they will most likely head to arbitration. The team has used this deadline as a "file and trial" type. Per Jeff Passan, the deadline is noon CT. Right now, the Astros are projected $390K over the CBT.
