  1. Isn’t April 9th suppose to be Anderson? His birthday or something?
  2. I’m hoping Breg busts out the intentional wall celebration again this year. Makes me laugh/fuck yeah every time I see it.
  3. I got told tonight by a kid that played again Black this season (work at a HS) that he’s comin with Beard here.
  4. I think Beard is out. There’s not much we can offer him that he doesn’t have at Tech. He’s got the definition of job security there, he’s going to get a statue built of him there and be in their hall of fame and he doesn’t strike me as a big city guy anyways. There’s also no way in hell the Texas basketball coach will make more money than the Texas football coach and that’s what it would take to get him here. I think the only way Beilein comes is the guys is if they convince Royal to be a HCIW type deal. Because of social media and the amount of information out, there’s 0 chance every basketball player/student athlete wouldn’t know why he left Cleveland and the situation that happened there. With the way campus has been with the eyes and the fact that Shaka was a black head coach, you’d have to find a way to navigate that. I think bringing in Royal with him would ease some of that with current and ex players. Maybe I’m over exaggerating that but I don’t think I am. I still think it’ll be someone we haven’t seen yet. I have some hope that we’ll pull someone out of nowhere like Vic with the women’s team. CDC did a hell of a job on that one with literally no one knowing what was going on.
  5. Damn Few looks old as shit.
  6. Hell the thing about it is, if this kinda stuff is what he would’ve preached like he did at VCU, it might’ve. He completely got away from what got him the Texas job in the first place.
  7. I’m sayin fuck it and calling Sampson. Look at the coaching staff we got when we said fuck it with football. He may be snakey but that fucker wins.
  8. In. Paid and picked
  9. Andy Katz most recent bracket guess had Texas as a 2 with Illinois as the 1, Arky as the 3 and Purdue as the 4. Yes fucking please
  10. Last Bracketology has Iowa, Arkansas and OK St ahead of us and with all of them losing and us securing the B12 title, I could see us jumping Houston for a 2 seed.
  11. Physically he should be fine. He’s got time to heal and go though a good rehab program. I’d be more worried mentally. Gotta wonder what his mentality will be stepping back into the minefield that is the trenches.

  13. I’m not for sure penciling Kerstetter anywhere just yet. That’s a hell of an injury he’s going to be coming back from.
  14. I agree. Don’t think Sark would’ve much either. I’m not trying to come off saying that JQJ was a bad kid or lazy or whatever. For all we know, the UT staff could’ve screwed him. My whole reason for starting the dialogue was saying that playing time and failure is blamed on medical staffs.
  15. The way I understand it is that JQJ is upset at how his injury was managed. With his surgery done prior to getting to Texas, the only piece of the puzzle Texas medical staff (athletic trainers, physical therapist, massage therapist, team doctors) had to do with it would have been his rehabilitation process, which could’ve been at a multitude of different stages upon arrival to the school. the original post talked about using medical staffs as a scapegoat for leaving or not playing and I had responded that it does regularly. if he’s blaming the entire process on UTs staff, then he’s reaching because he wasn’t injured as a UT athlete.
  16. I don’t disagree. But the primary complaint (from what I’ve seen) is that the Texas ATs/PTs/Docs didn’t progress him back through rehab on a prior to campus fixed knee like he feels they should’ve. Like I said above, every situation is different and every kid responds to treatment differently. All I’m saying is for the complaints being thrown out, we don’t know the kids effort or attendance when it comes to rehab sessions, therapy sessions and whatnot. Could be perfect, idk. When he gets on the field at Utah we’ll know based on his performance.
  17. Without a doubt. I’m an AT at a high school and I can’t tell you how many “college careers” I’ve ruined, even when same kid has played 10 varsity snaps in 4 years. Every situation is different for sure but there’s effort questions in rehab just like there’s effort questions on the field.
  18. That it is. Was for Jordan Elliott. What a fuck of a recruitment that was.
