Shit man, I don't know. I'm a dumb lawyer like most posters here. I guess I figured I would figure it out in an emergency. Better than doing nothing.

Or what if doing something kills your parents versus doing nothing doesn't kill your parents? Buying secondhand equipment off the internet that you have no idea how to use and attempting to intubate a patient will certainly kill them. Doing "nothing" and offering supportive care certainly doesn't kill them.

She was unreal -- and probably not wrong. Peter and Madison will not end up together. She's a goody-goody who writes bible verses on her hand every day. He likes to fuck girls in windmills.

Probably not wrong, but let your adult son figure that out on his own. His mom has mind fucked her son beyond belief.

Hannah Ann looks like she has put on about 10 pounds during the season. She's not as hot as she was the first night.

Don't they just sit around drinking while waiting to go on a date? If you don't have a pretty solid commitment to an exercise regimen, I can see how these girls could pack on some pounds the later they go in the show.

    Craig, Daniel Craig.

I can't help but think they will have some Bond cameos. Please let there be Celebrity Jeopardy with Sean Connery.

I doubt the writers want to have Sean Connery insulting a man with stage IV pancreatic cancer.

You're going to demolish your existing house and start over?   Sorry, there's no fucking that a new build is going to be cheaper than a major remodel.

It absolutely can be depending on the age of the house and what you want to do. I ran the analysis a few years back when I lived in a house built in 1955. It was cheaper for me to scrape and start over rather than do a major remodel. Not wanting to move out and rebuild, I bought a teardown in the same neighborhood and rebuilt on the new lot.

I live in Vancouver, WA and dig it.

Basically a suburb of Portland, Oregon but with 250,000 people complete with a downtown, restaurants, breweries, weed shops and a quick hop over to Oregon for the airport, world class restaurants and concerts.

WA has no income tax.  OR has no sales tax.  Live in WA, shop in OR.

The schools are pretty good.  My son is enrolled in the Mandarin Immersion program at a local (public) elementary school.

    Portland has a track - https://www.portlandraceway.com/

There are mountains, rivers, great summers, and mild temperatures.  The winters are gray and rainy but its not as bad as people think.  Just gives you more time to drink whiskey.

The Portland airport https://www.flypdx.com/ has been named the best in the country for the last 7 years in a row by Travel & Leisure magazine.  https://pdx.com/Newsroom/PDX-Named-Best-Domestic-Airport-2019-by-Travel-and-Leisure

Housing is still somewhat affordable - though it is getting more pricey.  Thanks California!

My wife's from Vancouver. It has always struck me as Portland's redneck brother that no one likes to acknowledge. And quick hop over to Oregon? Maybe on Sunday afternoon and Christmas day.

I’ve lived in Seattle, Phoenix, Austin & Charlotte and as soon as I could work remotely full time I moved to Scottsdale for many of the reasons in the OP.  Being from Seattle area I couldn’t fathom living so far from the ocean.  I just bought rt tickets to SD for <$100 and the airport is 15 minutes away.  Note there is state income tax but mine was offset by low property tax.

When I moved from Phoenix to Houston my overall tax burden almost doubled. The combined income and property taxes are lower in AZ than the oppressive property taxes in TX.

It’s a three dollar Uber or cab fare to get to it.  Infinitely faster than the shuttle system at most airports (admittedly the abia setup is pretty easy for traditional rentals).   But at most airports, they are infinitely faster and easier especially for late arrivals.

it’s unfortunate you had a negative customer service experience though.  Out of curiosity what was it?

It takes longer to walk to the Uber pick-up at ABIA than it takes to walk to the rental car center and pick a car from the President's Circle at Hertz and drive off. Plus it's not some shady abandoned gas Station next to a rooms by the hour motel.

As for customer service, months after a rental I received a notice from a collection agency wanting me to pay for a replacement rim and tire that they claimed was damaged while I had the car. No one from Silvercar had contacted me prior to that about alleged damage. The car was in perfect condition when I returned it so it was either a complete fabrication or it happened after I returned the car. It took months of back and forth with the asshole collection agency to get the charges reversed. Meanwhile no one from Silvercar never bothered to pick up the phone to return my calls or email me back. From someone who spends 150+ days a year in a rental car, fuck those guys. Never again.
