"You wanna...?" or "Would you like to...?"

Really it's not so much the question as it is the response to my answer. On some occasions, that's "yes" or "sure, why not?"

Most of the time, though, I go with "Do I want to? No. Will I? Yes."

If the original question came from a person of the male persuasion, it's all good, and away we go. But with the female, for some reason that triggers a discussion about why not? Pointing out that I said yes invariably fails to close the discussion.

    Fuck me.

It's pretty trivial - but damn, it can be annoying.

Hopefully the question isn't some dude asking if you wanna go to pound town.

My wife is allergic to such tech products and services, like grocery deliveries. Her hypothesis is that the store will select the worst fruits and vegetables to pack. (As if they want to discriminate against online shoppers?).

We also always end up going to the store twice in the same day. I do the bulk of the purchase. And a few hours later she realizes later she wants an extra carton eggs or whatever.

Man, that's the exact reason I hated curbside / delivery.  We'd order fruit or vegetables, and they'd give us bruised up crap, or green bananas, or something completely wrong.  Also, my biggest complaint is when they're out of an ingredient in a meal you're making, they aren't good enough to know how to pivot from that.  You're making pot roast, e.g., and they're out of beef broth, but they still get you the roast, carrots, gigantic onion that's 3x the size that you need, and 3 carrots when you asked for baby carrots.

it wasn’t until my sister had kids that I became aware of diaper blowouts where an infant literally shits so hard it comes out of the top of the diaper and sprays their back.  just awful.

those of you with kids I know you’re aware of this phenomenon.

I love how after the youngest gets past this stage, all these memories are moved to cold storage and rarely given a second thought.  That said, the oldest was the posterchild for Oxy Clean spray, and frankly perfected my skills on removing / replacing Baby Bjorn Bouncer covers.  Youngest probably had 3 to 4 blowouts, which is mind bottling!

The more I think about it, the more I think the best punishment for Tucker would be for the Ravens to keep him (which I think they will). Then he has to face the locker room with them all knowing what he did, and they get to clown him for the whole season.

This only works if they hire a full time massage therapist for him:

Check in to hotel last night, and room has a small microwave, among other amenities.  MOTHERFUCKER!  The time on the clock is still before 'Fall back' from 3 months ago.  Not a swinging dick or cock wallet who stayed here could garner the initiative to press 5 buttons to reset it?

Trivial as hell, for sure. and most surly was my reaction.

I mean, you went through all that effort that's going to force someone else to revert said changes in a few weeks time.  You could have just left it alone and all would be well in due time.

Ratchet belts have been my solution to the hole thing... Slidebelts

You can even get them with buckles that look "regular" (as if the belt had holes)

Have you ever seen those shoes that use velcro instead of shoe strings?

The let’s-make-it-even-more-efficient part of me organizes the list by how I would walk through the grocery store -  produce section first, then dairy, meat, pastas, etc. This also depends on particular grocery store and how it’s laid out.

Its pretty efficient instead of my wife and I texting each other to see what we need.

Man, I did the same thing for the longest time, but during Covid I would be half-way through the list, and the wife would text me to go grab something on the second or third aisle I went down, and it's send me backwards, then repeat this over the next 5 minutes in a random order.  I spent more time ordering the list than it was worth.

When you drive by, there is one dude working and 3 other dudes standing on the street watching him. That's the golden rule for every road construction project. 1 dude works, 3 dudes watch.

Also applicable to South Austin's mom...
