  1. I'll be nervous about it if we don't see an uptick soon. He's not going to overpower hitters with that velo, and his command has been lacking. Small sample size and all that, but he has a 1.5 WHIP and a 5.4 BB/9 so far this season. I'd be fine with Montero getting the save opportunities until Pressly returns to form.
  2. It's up from where it was before he went on the IL, but still a full 1-2 MPH from where it was last season. So maybe trending in the right direction?
  3. I saw something the day he pitched that said he was hitting 93 MPH. I can't remember if I posted it up thread.
  4. Pressly is back:
  5. Altuve in the lineup:
  6. Fouled a ball off his groin in his last AB. Not sure if it's related. Hopefully Dusty is just giving him some rest given we are leading by 5 and it's a day game after a night game.
  7. Good news for Scraps' ankles:
  8. Yeah, because there aren't many, many "pro-lifers" who have paid for their mistress', maid's, secretary's or babysitter' abortions.
  9. Hopefully this goes well, and he finds his velocity. I would normally say that we wouldn't have extended him if there were serious concerns about his health, but then I remember Baez.
  10. I went ahead and switched to Xfinity this weekend. Got $200 back for bringing my own phone, and, even with a new iPhone 13 Pro for the wife, I am saving about $50 a month. I'll probably upgrade my phone in a few months, which will cut into my savings, but it'll still workout to about $300-$400 less a year than what I was paying Verizon. Xfinity uses Verizon's towers, and we never se more than 8 GB of data a month, so I think it'll be a smart move for us.
  11. His song To Be Treated Right was used in The Devil's Rejects. It was my introduction to him. Great song. Great movie.
  12. I couldn't find a thread for discussing working out. My thought it this could be a place to discuss different workout routines, exercise programs, etc. I lift three to four times a week and get about 30 minutes of cardio in before each lifting session. I'd be interested in getting feedback on my current routine and hearing what routines/programs are working for others. My typical split looks like this: Monday: 30 minute jog on treadmill at 7.0 MPH Bench 4 x 5 Barbell Row 4 x 5 Chest Fly / Dumbbell Row superset 4 x 12 (fly) 10 (row) Incline / Cable Row superset 4 x 8 (incline) 10 (row) Dips/barbell curls superset 4 x failure (dips) 12 (curls) Cable crossovers 4 x 10 Rope pushdown 4 x 10 Face pulls 4 x 10 Wednesday 30 minute jog on treadmill at 7.0 MPH Squats 4 x 5 Dumbbell Lungs 4 x 12 Hip thrust 4 x 10 Leg curls 4 x 12 Friday 30 minute jog on treadmill at 7.0 MPH Deadlifts 4 x 5 Overhead Press 4 x 5 Pull ups 4 x failure Dumbbell side raises 4 x 12 Cable pull downs 4 x 10 Barbell curls / Triceps extension superset 4 x 12 Face pulls 4 x 10 I try to get in some ab work on Tuesdays or Thursdays depending on my schedule. This only allows me to hit each major muscle group once a week. I've been thinking about switching to a total body routine that would allow me to hit areas twice a week.
  13. To be fair, we don't really have much data on Trout in the playoffs.
  14. I trust Montero the most right now. Hopefully Pressly can get healthy and get his velo back. Those two locking down the 8th and 9th would give us a formidable bullpen.
