  1. That second category also never included trying to overthrow the U.S. government. Until it did. There is nothing they will not accept. If for no other reason than they would have to admit that they were marks for the past five years.
  2. It won't matter if video of trump with 10 year olds is released. It will all be some combination of a left wing witch hunt, SoCialiSm, Killary set him up, how was he to know that the girl was only 10/she looks 18, and the FBI is a liberal agency out to get trump.
  3. I don't think you need a passenger manifest for a private plane. Not surly 1% though so not positive.
  4. Bravo: defends white supremacist publication Bravo 5 minutes later: whining about surly liberal cabal and how mean everyone is to him, and why aren't people more understanding of his defense of white supremacist publications.
  5. It's telling that you think Media Matters is the liberal equivalent to the Daily Caller. So you're admitting that the 2021 U.S. "conservative" leaning news source is pedals in white supremacy.
  6. I haven't cooked this specifically, but when making Indian food I often use whole coriander and cumin, but bash it in a mortar and pestle. The whole seeds have more flavor.
  7. Museum of Science and Industry. The Christmas movie sing along at the Music Box Theater.
  8. So Ag is now arguing about a Democratic plot to overturn the election by means specifically written in the Constitution to install, ummm, Mike Pence. And then wonders why the Trumpublicans aren't respected.
  9. Ok. So you're advocating for bail reform. This is the same Wisconsin law that has been in place for decades. And you want to make bail more onerous. You're quoting Chisolm from 2007 talking about a law that had been on the books for many years at that time. Edit to add: even if any of your nonsense was true, what you're pointing to is policy differences. There are legitimate reasons to seek bail reform, including in many places people locked up for years awaiting trial for minor, nonviolent offenses. There are also reasons to be against it, such as perhaps more violent criminals will be free and commit more crimes. That's a policy difference. One that you may feel strongly about. But it's not the same as spreading anti-semitic conspiracy theories or advocating an overthrow of the legitimately elected government.
  10. Did you even read the article you posted? The prosecutor requested lax bail in a domestic violence case. Wisconsin still has cash bail, and has not substantively changed its law regarding bail in many, many years. "While Milwaukee hasn't ever abolished cash bond nor has the state, prosecutors in the DA's office are said to often advocate for lax bail policies."
  11. Proving my point. This is a lie. Wisconsin hasn't enacted bail reform. Wisconsin has had the same laws regarding bail on the books for decades.
  12. So you think MTG peddling anti-semitic conspiracy theories or lies about the 2020 election being stolen is in the same boat as backing bail reform? This is why I don't give a fuck about arguing with the right, and the U.S. right is no longer conservative, they're extreme right wing. They peddle in hate, disinformation, and anti-democratic small d ideals. And then pretend like that's comparable to a disagreement on tax policy or criminal justice reform.
  13. Lol. I'm old enough to remember when Obamacare was actually a Republican idea from Mitt Romney and then coopted by the Dems. But now it's SoCiaLism. Too tired to find Ag's post pages back saying that Republican party hasn't moved to the right.
  14. Not sure where this goes, but this seems as good a place as any.
  15. They’re pretty close to this
  16. Yes. It's not like there's one magic moment where you abruptly transition from a free society to a fascist state. It's highly likely the 2022 and 2024 elections will not be free and fair. The rural areas have tons more voting power than where people live, already, and there's already extreme gerrymandering. We currently house about 20% of the world's prisoners, but have 4.2% of the world's population. We spend about as much on our military as the entire rest of the world combined. The only country with a higher budget for policing than us is China. And we have way more guns per capita than any other country in the world. I'm not sure why you think a fascist state looks different from that, other than noone is censoring facebook yet.
  17. 30% want a fascism. There's another 30% who will go along with the fascists for a (perceived) tax cut.
  18. You should renew before it expires. Most countries won't let you in unless you have at least 6 months remaining on the passport.
  19. Deeply disturbed by the adulation and attention this misguided kid who killed two people (whether criminally liable or not) is receiving.
  20. Quoting you, because there's no fucking way I'm quoting Sack. But absolutely it's the publicity that would be valuable. I have no doubt Rudy if he still has a law license or Lin Wood or some other nutjob would take this case on. But Kyle has no damages, unless he's claiming he didn't get enough money in his go fund me to pay for his criminal trial.
  21. Your list needs some Kavanaugh
  22. To clarify, Order things should have been done in: 1. 1/6 committee requests documents from National Archives by 11/12 at 6 pm 2. Trump files suit asserting executive privilege 3. Judge issues ruling, denying trump's assertions 4. Trump files motion before trial court to stay its decision pending an appeal 5. After stay is denied, file appeal of decision on the merits and appeal the denial of a stay pending appeal 6. Circuit court order on whether a stay is granted, and if not, then the documents will likely be released on 11/12 before the Circuit Court ever gets to a decision on the merits. If a stay is granted, then the National Archives can't release the documents until the appellate court decision on the executive privilege suit. Order things were done in: 1. 1/6 committee requests documents by 11/12 2. Trump files suit 3. Trump files motion before trial court seeking a stay of its decision, but the trial court hasn't issued its ruling yet. The trial court thus denies this nonsense motion. But it's not an actual decision on the merits, it's just an order saying basically why the fuck are you seeking a stay of an imaginary order that hasn't been entered yet. 4. Judge issues ruling. 5. Trump files appeal, including seeking a stay of the trial court ruling, but there was never a decision from the trial court on the stay issue, other than the one that was denied because it was filed before a decision was rendered. So there's no order to appeal from regarding the stay, and the appellate court can only hear issues that were litigated below. So while there's an appeal pending before the Circuit Court, it's highly unlikely they will decide the issues before Friday, and trump hasn't properly sought to stay the trial court decision such that the National Archives won't just release the documents on Friday anyway, mooting the entire lawsuit. 6. Trump seeks a stay from the trial court of its decision. If nothing else, trump's legal team must be pissing off the law clerks.
  23. It may have been intentional, because none of this makes sense, but they had the motion ready to go. Hell, they filed it prematurely before the decision, and it was denied already because of the incorrect filing. So they (1) made the judge rule on a premature motion taking precious hours away in an "emergent" application in which they needed a decision from her ASAP and (2) Delayed the subsequent filings by at least 12 hours. Meanwhile, tomorrow's a federal holiday so at best they're ticking off some circuit court judges and clerks who are going to be pulled in to work on the "emergent" filings trump's lawyers spent days fucking around on.
  24. Amateur hour. It looks like trump finally filed the motion for the stay before the district court. Stupid that they didn't have it ready to go last night so it could be filed immediately after the judge issued her decision. Now they have to wait for another ruling from her, and I think courts are closed tomorrow. trump's lawyers are running out the clock until the documents are released Friday themselves. Although, again, I'll believe he faces consequences for anything when I actually see it happen. Which will be never.
