  1. Best or favorite? I'd argue that GOT is the best, and it's probably not even close (despite the crappy GOT final season). That's not to say GOT is my favorite, or even in my top few. But top to bottom, it is the best. Despite multiple attempts, I could just never get into The Wire, which never ceases to amaze me given that almost everyone who has some of my other favorites on their list usually includes The Wire. That said, I like Yellowstone a lot better than The Wire, but I also fully admit that doesn't make it better. It probably doesn't even deserve being in the same conversation, honestly. And certainly nowhere near Breaking Bad, GOT, Sopranos, and Mad Men. But I grew up on a ranch and some of it hits close to home for me, so I like it better. Anyhooo...not really sure where I'm going with this. Mostly just talking out of my ass, as usual I suppose.
  2. Guess all the restaurant, factory and now airline workers, found better jobs over the last few months, huh?
  3. I’m with @TXSooner518 and @hornbri. Could have sworn that when Nevada legalized weed, the strip was not a legal place to sell it. Pretty sure it was structured same as prostitution. Am I just making that up?

Any updates on this place? I have heard nothing since the initial hype when they first opened.

That’s awesome! I’m not a big Nick & Sam’s fan so I’m pulling for you. And put us down as a solid “yes” for opening night

Lauded Chicago steakhouse Maple & Ash will open in Dallas So @ChiTownDoc y'all are doing this, huh? Across the street from Nick & Sams? Bold move. Can't wait
  7. Wasn’t the new season supposed to be released last night? Can’t find it. Wha happen?
  8. I must not have ever experienced the “amazing” stuff then. Because it’s the opposite for me. I think to myself, “man, why did I just waste space in my stomach on that crap, when there’s beef and pork”?
  9. So, Circus Circus in Vegas in Late June was shitty, huh? I'll be damned
  10. Only way to properly cook a steak
  11. I feel like one of these Meater wireless thermometers might be necessary to perfect the reverse sear. And by "necessary" I mean another grill gadget I can tell myself I have to have. And by "myself" I mean my wife
  12. If it tastes good (and I'm assuming is either to go or delivery)...sure, why the hell not. Now, if I'm going in and sitting down and have a hot young Italian waitress and want to enjoy some birra o vino with the ambiance of Frank crooning in the background...that shit better be slung by some old Italian nonna who barely speaks English that you can overhear from time to time yelling in Italian at the staff while waiving the peel around.
  13. Little too far outside the bubble. Uptown...blech
  14. Yeah, plus it’ll be nice to have another restaurant/bar option around that area at the level where high end hookers hang out at the bar. Having to rotate between just The Mansion and Al Biernats gets old after a while.
  15. Four Seasons Project Set for Dallas' Turtle Creek will Bring Grand Hotel and Condos
  16. You sure talk a lotta shit for a guy who listed Tabasco as your baseline go-to hot sauce a few pages back
  17. This was my exact thought. Speaking of dead, to pile on to the Bazaar Meat discussion, the only time we ever went there, we ended up calling an audible after one drink and bailing because the place was so dead. No pulse, no energy, meal may have been great, but we didn't stick around to find out.
  18. Good god man…what rock have I been living under?

Sorry I missed it this year, @C-Man. We had hoped to head out there, but this weather and the new boat have turned out to be almost an hour-by-hour decision making process that’s controlling our schedules and fucking up our social lives. First world problems, I know. Glad to hear you had a good event and congrats on the W. Try to make it next year for sure
  20. Plugged these guys in another thread (or maybe it was TOS). Fucking awesome experience. Really cool guy hand curated a bunch of places for us based on what we told him we were looking for. Really knows his shit when it comes to wine and everything about the area. Plus he had all kinds of cool access I didn’t feel like we could have otherwise gotten. One of the best things we’ve done on a vacation. Highly recommend… https://www.noblewt.com
  21. I used to think, like peanut butter, all mayo was about the same. Then I found Dukes (you might have even put me into it) and it changed the mayo game completely. Is this the Dukes of peanut butter? Or is there such a thing?
  22. Napoleon. I got the Prestige 665 RSIB. There are a ton of different options, though. I was as brand loyal to Weber as it gets for all my life, but I've converted. https://www.napoleon.com/en/us/grills
  23. https://www.texasstargrillshop.com They’re around Houston area, but delivered to me in Dallas no problem. Great experience
  24. I got mine delivered in a week from Texas Star.
