    First 2 hours of MTV

The Buggles video for Video Killed the Radio Star was already 2 years old when it aired as MTV's first video in '81
  3. Something something G'day mate something shrimp on the barbie
  4. It's been the fight of my life, trying to show people the good. Been pretty hard to defend lately though tbh. I was in London back in 2012 or so, and a saleswoman in the shop was from the Czech Republic IIRC, but anyway, she asked if I was Australian lol.
  5. They probably weren't wound up as high either I would guess. At RIR, the Indy cars basically ran wide open the whole time, crazy short race. But in downtown Richmond, you could hear them like you were at the track, it was wild. The NASCAR races you may get a small hum at best if the wind was blowing the right way.
  6. The old Indy V8s made NASCAR motors sound like a 4 banger from a Tercel.
  7. Lmao https://sporza.be/nl/2023/10/06/toch-geen-fusie-huwelijk-soudal-quick-step-en-jumbo-visma-lijkt-van-de-baan-bakala-en-lefevere-gaan-samen-tot-2025-door~1696590146559/
  8. Everywhere. It should be posted everywhere. Goldtop homies unite
  9. Yeah I actually checked, either Aus or NZ
  10. Damn I may need to head up
  11. Yeah, I would echo Jim and Paul. If you want to play with it yourself, go for it, but if you just want it to sound the best, hire a pro mastering guy. The best mixers I know use mastering guys and give them all the credit for how fast and good they are at it.
  12. I dig those @UncleBuck Got a TVZ vibe on the second which is always a positive! Don't sleep on just a single drum mic @ohchaucer. One 57 out in front can do wonders and a 58 is damn near the same thing. Check this video out from Ian Schreier.
  13. “Your honor, I can tell you are a reasonable horse. I am very pregnant because of what happened with Lupe. She ate my bus accident and all I wanted was to make Lupe into a book. I have too many good anuses ahead of me to spend my life in a cigar factory.”

    First 2 hours of MTV

They were, but not nearly as widespread. Which actually is true now as well compared to the heyday of MTV. But yeah, in the 70s there were videos, just on a much smaller scale.
  15. Izotope has several good products for people working at home that won't break the bank, and are often on sale. I typically don't use a lot of their stuff as I've just been doing it one way for so freaking long I can't be bothered to change, but I do use their Rx products fairly regularly.
  16. From what I've seen/heard, most of the online mastering things are just loudness boosts with brickwall limiting and such. They swear it's not, but I don't believe them. I personally hate the loudness trend since the late 90s, so I steer clear. Shelly Yakus has a company called AfterMaster, which supposedly does personalized mastering along with AI, may be worth checking out if you are so inclined.
  17. I'm reading a great book on the history of Lotharingia, so this hits close to home.
