  1. 100%, exactly why I say that. You sonofabitch.
  2. Definitely no danger of that from me! I agree though, I think for beginners it pretty important just to learn how to count. And I recommend doing it way slower than most would do it, learning to lay behind the beat is critical for feel. One album that is not remotely on the grid that would surprise some, AC/DC Back in Black. The tempo wanders massively and it sounds amazing.
  3. Bro I'm trying to top the naughty list! It's funny on the metronome thing though, being a band geek I obviously came up with one as a kid, but then promptly rejected that square shit as I was gonna be a rock star. But lately I have added clicks to a lot of the stuff we are recording as it's done piecemeal and not all live, been a big help. And use a metronome for my drum practice.
  4. So how is the kazoo playing progressing.
  5. I mean, I like it already and I haven't even heard it
  6. By calling people stupid and saying they are on drugs when they are pointing out what you said doesn't make sense? This has nothing to do with it. As @sidis mentioned, you should play however it makes you happy, as that's what it's all about, but the main reason people are pointing this out is because it's the beginner thread and it doesn't need misinformation in it. High gain and distortion cover technique issues up, it's just basic physics of what happens to the waveform of the sound, it's not a debatable topic.
  7. How to sound like a better guitarist than you actually are. Step 1) Increase gain. Step 2) Increase reverb.
  8. Lmao. You have to be drunk
  9. Even by Rimbo standards I should add.
  10. This is some wild shit
  11. Don't give away my trade secrets bro.
  12. I've always loved the fact this song was essentially the Sanford and Son theme song.
  13. Wow. RIP
  14. Why you think he was was riding like the wind
  15. Ha, I forgot about this.
  16. Yeah, my pops is in the middle of Parkinsons as well, though he still gets around a bit, with requisite falls because he refuses to use his walker. But we are fortunate to have a family house that we can get everyone in up in the woods, I think I've posted photos before. My wife and I do the lions share of the cooking these days, with my Aunt doing one dish. I enjoy it immensely to be honest so not an imposition. The cousins do the cleanup after the meal. We actually had the son of my aunts partner this year (my uncle passed 25 years ago) and he was super helpful, I hope he comes every year.
  17. And that's the real tragedy, that people literally have to drop meaningful things and make those decisions now. Our new reality
  18. Yeah I waste a lot of money, I cannot lie.
  19. I still have my 1995 F350, paid 15 grand for it back in 2001, which at the time seemed ridiculous. That truck took me across the country and back, I will never sell it. I typically feel like if I'm gonna blow money, it's gotta be drugs, guitars and good eatin and the women that come along with that.
  20. So Dana Millibank wrote an actual insightful article for a change.
  21. Anyone wants an Ocean Turquoise Strat I have a 99 AmStd I'm trying to move.
  22. I've always had a mild itch for an L5
