  1. What does this response even mean? Seems like you responded to the wrong person.
  2. No, that was all Moore. Perfect ball by Quinn. And again, I didn’t ever say the other deep shot was only on Quinn.
  3. Now you’re just being combative and obtuse. Against better coverage, that may not get caught because Golden had to adjust back because Quinn threw it off his back foot. I don’t hate Quinn at all. He is objectively underthrowing most of his downfield throws. Often, it causes incompletions. It’s not due to putting it exactly where his WR needs it to be the only one to make the catch.
  4. I agree with you. It should have been caught.
  5. Yep. Moore should have caught it. I’ve said that about five times now. Quinn still under threw him and made it a harder play.
  6. Lol. Vanderbilt beat Alabama. We beat Vanderbilt in Nashville. Guess A&M beating Bama wouldn’t be a good win for them.
  7. Yeah. To hit a Moore in stride, Quinn would have had to throw it about 8-10 yards farther in the air. I just went back and rewatched it again. Moore starts jogging and adjusting about 12 yards before he even makes contact with the ball. Again, he should have caught it. But Quinn under threw him and made an easy, wide open catch much more difficult.
  8. That’s not at all what was said. I didn’t say Moore shouldn’t make that catch. I originally responded to a couple posters saying Moore let Quinn down. Yes, Moore should have made the catch. But it was made much more difficult by being significantly underthrown. Lord, y’all fucking suck with nuance. It could have been much better by both players.
  9. I’ll give him this. Quinn executes all the eye candy of Sark’s offense very well. If he gets his footwork sorted out, he can be very, very good. Otherwise, the lack of athleticism coupled with his propensity to panic in the pocket sometimes is his downside.
  10. It hit his hands/chest because Moore adjusted to a madly under thrown ball. WTF are y’all talking about here?
  11. It was. But Moore has to slow wayyy down. Made it a much harder play than it should have been.
  12. It was a terrible throw. Should have been caught, but let’s not act like Quinn got screwed on a perfect ball.
  13. And that’s exactly how you beat the ever so popular double mug defensive look. Freeze the LBs at the line of scrimmage and throw to the vacated space. I fucking love it!
  14. He did throw an easy should-be pick that the LB dropped. But, he did look good the rest. Even stepping into the pocket and running for nine on third and 10 to set up that ballsy fourth-down conversion.
  15. He was 10 I believe. Cancer.
  16. Lost my dog unexpectedly in April to a ruptured abdominal tumor. She was a golden like Ben. That segment brought back a whirlwind of emotion. “Dogs’ only flaw as a species is that they don’t live long enough.” Damn, Kirk, ain’t that the truth.
  17. Yep. No way the Texas staff actually prepared much for Lagway. This type of injury can only get worse with much more than active recovery. But, you know even more than me in this case.
  18. FIFY Fuck that. For a young player who doesn't hustle like he needs to, isn't a commanding blocker, and drops balls, there is something wrong with wanting assurances regarding PT. Now, a good team will give him that to get him in the door, but they'll most certainly be on his ass about those things above.
  19. More context from FCB: What you need to know about the "mutual" parting of ways between Texas and WR Johntay Cook Yeah, this wasn't mutual. It reads like Sark is trying to protect his culture and doesn't want someone who has already checked out around to bring others down. "All gas, no brakes." Seems like Sark viewed Cook as a "brake" based on his comments and FCB's additional color. I don't have clips handy, but I noticed a few occasions earlier in the season where Cook wouldn't run to block downfield or from the other side of the field to follow up the play. That's something Moore and Bolden both do.

  21. SMU would be a good landing spot for many reasons in my mind.
  22. This was a really good post. I wish I could pos rep it more. I'll get you elsewhere. Increased, as well as more skilled, pitching depth, a shorter leash so pitchers don't crater and start sliding in confidence (depth will help here too), and a different approach from a younger and more attuned pitching coach leads me to believe Texas will have fewer pitchers that look like this on the mound this season: At least that's my hope.
  23. Not a chance Quinn is the starting QB at Texas next season.
