  1. Anyone know where Jackson Prince ended up at?
  2. Except that's not at all what you're doing. Now, you're conflating disparate concepts into one and creating a straw man to excuse your own naive and misplaced perceptions regarding NIL. If someone doesn't have money to contribute to NIL efforts, that's totally fine. However, bitching and perpetuating false narratives regarding something you (1) clearly don't understand and (2) are not a part of is deceitful and does nothing to help the situation. This is like someone who doesn't vote (no CR) who complains about politicians or the like. Sure, it still affects you, but you're not even trying to remedy the situation. No, y'all just want to complain behind a keyboard when Texas NIL is fucking top-tier and there are multiple posters here who fucking have first-hand information to know so. This!
  3. Texas is over. It doesn't matter. The roster will shrink via Fall Ball when it must. I'd rather have plus numbers with ensuing competition than the opposite scenario.
  4. They should all make it to campus. I guess they could have big bonus pool money thrown at them, but I doubt it.
  5. That would make much more sense. Thank you for the explanation.
  6. That must include corporate NIL. No way the collective is spending more than $20m/season on just football. Who knows, maybe I’m wrong, but that seems like an outlier.
  7. He can be a RHP or 1B. I’m assuming he’ll be a pitcher. Already touches 93-95 on his fastball. Probably get some relief appearances or midweek starts in low pressure situations to start. 58th overall prospect and 16th pitcher in the class of 2024 by Perfect Game.
  8. That's a big win to get him on campus.
  9. We're into the 8th round and he was projected 4th. Teams know he is coming back. Slot value has decreased over 400k from where he projected to now. He can still be drafted two more times - one with leverage. He's coming back. Exactly.
  10. Yeah, this team may fuck next season. The bullpen looks really good and the offense should produce enough on average. Just need to nail down the starting pitching roles.
  11. Well, that was painfully obvious.
  12. Listed at 6'3, 235... Are you at all familiar with a certain TE that just got drafted from Texas?
  13. This is quite ironic given his poor ability to hire and effectively manage his assistant coaches at Texas.
  14. BTW, Jalin Flores is slotted as the 116th-ranked prospect. That's mid-fourth round to the Giants with a slot value of $624.80k. He has a lot of leverage, and will next draft too. Would not be a surprise to see him come back.
  15. Jared Thomas drafted 42nd overall to the Rockies. Was ranked as the 60th overall prospect. He's definitely going to sign, but awesome for him. Slot value is $2.22m. He's set financially if he invests a large chunk. He did everything right, did whatever the team needed, and was so fun to watch. Hook'em, JT! I hope he's one helluva utility player for that org.
  16. Well shit, he’s for sure gone.
  17. We knew those two wouldn’t make it to campus. Both were projected first round.
  18. Yep. Rich Paul told teams that if they drafted Bronny, he’d opt for the NBL in Australia. It was always going to be the Lakers.
  19. Oregon has been recruiting Texas for years. Hell, they had very productive players from Texas on their BCS runner-up squad in January, 2011 (2010 season). High school recruits in class from Texas: 2024: 1 2023: 6 2022: 1 2021: 1 There could also be increased overlap for a few reasons. Both Texas and Oregon NIL are top-tier. Naturally, that's going to create some NIL-driven recruiting battles. Both schools heavily recruit CA (Sharma this year, among others). Texas stole Kelvin Banks and Cam Williams (among others) from them. Maybe they're tired of losing recruits to Texas and have the NIL to combat some of that. However, I don't think Oregon is "directly targeting" Texas, per se. Maybe I'm wrong. They probably just want to win recruitments in Texas. It's an obvious part of their recruiting strategy. With Uncle Phil's NIL and Samples now on staff, they're posed to compete more in Texas in pursuit of that strategy.
  20. CenTex kid - from Wimberly. Pretty good stats to work with. WHIP, SO9, and SO/W all look promising.
  21. Class of 2024. Will be on campus for fall practice and appear in 2025.
