  1. Yes-The location in Celina is the original and the one in Frisco opened a couple months ago. I actually live 5 minutes from the Frisco location but for whatever reason I always like to go to the original when I try a new spot. Only have a photo of the brisket but I also got the smoked turkey and enjoyed it.. Was a big fan of the bbq baked beans too.. The Mac & cheese was meh. Finished it off with the “Lemonade Pie” which was awesome.

Yeah, I posted pics from the Frisco location a ways back. El Jefe sandwich and Wagyu beef. Good stuff. Not a big fan of BBQ beans but loved these. Agree on the Mac and Cheese. Not good. They did a great job on the interior. 5b69abd09fb9cf13bbeeafd4fd5a2a3f.jpg

  2. I’ll make a vinyl post later after I get some stuff in that I have ordered, but I finally got this bad boy back today, and I figured this was the best place for it. A Marantz 2245. The case I found on eBay and it’s an OE in nearly mint shape. Bottom is my trusty 2215B. The LEDs are a bit harsh and I may change back to incandescent, but I’d have to change the vellum paper again. Not hard, just kind of annoying. I also recently upgraded carts to the Nagaoka MP-150. I’m happy with it. I am casually looking for some Klipsch Forte II, though.

IMHO the 2230, 2245 and 2270 are the sweet spot of Vintage Marantz when you consider cost, sound quality and price. I did incandescent on my 2230 and need to do my 2245 but have been too lazy.

  3. Sad that he's known for his graphs.  Y'all should read On Wings of Eagles by Ken Follett.  It's the story of how Perot got his two guys out of Iran just prior to the hostage crisis.  The incompetent State Dept. circa 1979 wouldn't do shit to help them and he got them out.

I know one of Perot’s lawyers who was attempting to negotiate their release with the Iranians. Needless to say he has some great stories.

  4. Chad can't send his kid to Texas because the Arkansas folks would eat him alive. But yes, some of you are way too sensitive to anything Junior or Corby says related to Texas. You wouldn't have done well when Greggo and Rhynes has almost daily Texas bait segments.

I remember the good old days when Rhyner didn’t care for Switzer.

  5. I saw the Wings Over America Tour at The Summit in 1976.
How many "hits" has he had since then?

    shit! 43 freaking years ago!
