There's a lot of opportunity for DBU to shine in this game.  I'll take our chances with Mattress Firm duo #tothematts and our whole backfield having a big game

You fucking jinxed it. Are you happy? ARE YOU HAPPY?

How are the fans in Stillwater? Slightly tempted to hop on a plane for this one...never been...but don’t want to fight anyone.

I have close family as well as close friends that were OSU grads. All great people. Heard great things about Stillwater as a college town (nothing more obviously) but never been.

I mean, I would never get on a plane and fly to Oklahoma but if that's your cup of tea then that's one of the better trips you could make I'm sure.

in fact that was the most points and yards UT has given up all year. so far....

You seem like you're confident in our matchup. I bet you would be pissing your pants if that game was in DKR.

Worry about your own schedule and we'll see you in a few weeks.

No, he's right. That looks like zone. The RB runs right to the RCB that is sitting in that space. Everyone is playing a space (maybe a match) and Johnson played man. Misunderstood coverage is my guess, because everyone else plays it right.

If Johnson drops, the receiver is still wide open, but the throw has to have a bit of an arc, instead of on a line.

I would like the safety (Sterns) to not have bailed so much, but it wasn't going to matter with the busted LB cover.

Either it was zone and he played man or the corner fucked up his assignment.

Not saying Gary didn't goof up the play - just not sure how culpable he is there.

Like you said, I think Sterns needed to play it tighter. The secondary should have covered for GJ and they didn't.

I rooted for OU one time in the title game.

You seem like a decent guy but I can't let this stand.

I'll root for their entire campus to win the lottery and all get laid in the same night before I root for them to win a national title.

  6. You know what let's just tell it like it is: the bottom half of the SEC is fucking garbage.

You have one really good team, a couple of teams that might be really good (might not), a few middling teams that might scratch out nine wins (atm, UF, MSST), and after that you have Arky, Mizzou, Vandy, Kentucky (no, Kentucky isn't good), uSC, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Auburn.

And then half of them get to avoid even playing each other.

Outside of Bama and LSU the SEC isn't any tougher than the B12 or B10 and I would say easier to play in if I had to.

Source for this data? I'm 99% sure NFL teams do not disclose this level of detail about managing injuries.

You're right. We can't let the Russians get a hold of this.

2007 was pretty shitty. Barely beat Arkansas State at home, barely beat UCF on the road, got blown out by Ron Prince at DKR, lost to OU and A&M, and barely beat a Nebraska team that Kansas scored (almost) 80 on.

    07 would be my vote

NO ONE likes you in Texas, aggy. Baylor doesn't like you. SMU and TCU don't like you. Tech doesn't like you.

Schools in OTHER states despise you.

Fortunately you are in a part of Texas that I can straight up avoid and I'd like to keep it that way.

I don't know fuck about shoulder sprains, but I do know it's in Mensa's interest to force Gundy to plan for both QB's.  Unless one yall is blowing the trainer, we don't know shit and won't until game time.

Pretty sure if they can prepare for Ehlinger they'll be prepared for Shane, Sun Tzu.

What does Shane even make you "plan" for? Having good field position the entire game?

Lol you can't compare them. One plays in the Big 12, one plays in the SEC.

For example, aggy will not play Kyler Murray this season.

I wish we could play the QB from UK.

We'd be up 21 points before our offense even touched the field

aggy currently has a thread on texags talking about how their defense this year reminds them of the "Wrecking Crew" lol.

    2018

Texas Defense: 5.34 yards per play allowed

aggy defense: 5.88 yards per play allowed

If they are the "Wrecking Crew", is our defense the second coming of the '85 Bears?

Lol you can't compare them. One plays in the Big 12, one plays in the SEC.

I can’t recall the last Texas Longhorn Team that “championed” a LOSS, and I go back to the early ‘70s, as a fan of the Burnt Orange!

No Top 5 OU, ranked Arkansas, and etc! The Sherill Era sucked while growing up, because they cheated while we sucked, but karma took care of that. During the down times, I never recall hearing that the Horns only lost to XYZ by ???? points!!!

I'm fine with championing losses and moral victories WHEN IT'S APPROPRIATE. I went to SMU and watched the Mustangs go 1-11 my first year on campus. Being at the homecoming game my senior year where we took undefeated UCF to the last minute at home brought me great joy (at least until I got arrested that night but that's a different story).

It's not like there isn't a place for that in the world - there is. Sometimes effort should be applauded. Just not when you are expected to play at the standard Texas is.

aggy's problem is that they expect to win, but when they don't, it's always glossed over and worked into some strange narrative that they're "rebuilding" or "better than their record" or "having a down year".

This phenomenon happens in perpetuity and has become known as the "aggy rollercoaster".

They've taken it as far to use the shroud of history to bathe mediocre seasons in myth and legend, convincing people that a pretty good 3 loss aggy team (that couldn't beat Texas) in 1998 was somehow exemplar of college football at its finest and most poetic.

If aggy accepted their status in the pecking order I'm sure they could crack open a cold one and enjoy a nice 9-4 season with a decent bowl win. But that will never be good enough for them - despite the fact that they will never be better than that.
