  1. I remember it being okay when I was growing up. Then again I'm shocked that it's still open.
  2. I don't think the population went up 94% between 2018 and 2021. I will say it's a fairly cherry-picked set of data.
  3. What in the absolute fuck is this.
  4. Mavs getting cooked on their home floor.
  5. When do you think D-Day happened? 1160? We know exactly what fucking happened on that beach that day. There is no debate or controversy surrounding how D-Day went down. And I'm sure SPR got it about 95% right. What's your next take? "I think those pussies in Nagasaki were milking it"
  6. That's always been true and would be true regardless of the DA. FYI - our violent/sex crime rates our low but our property crime is not and never has been. The former is obviously more the DA's wheelhouse but still. There is no ghetto in Austin. There is no hood on the other side of the train tracks that you don't go to. It's always been safe.
  7. Yeah but isn't Sylestine like a normal, fairly left dem? I'd just like for people killing other people to spend some amount of time in prison. I guess that's a tough ask.
  8. Yeah I mean that's cold as fuck but I'm pretty sure I've skied in single digits. For a fact I know I've been in Taos when it's been negative at night/in the mornings.
  9. Oh he's definitely built different. As long as Tyrese Hunter plays like 2004 TJ Ford we've got a chance to make some noise.
  10. That's a dumb comment. From '99-'05 league average TS% was .519. In that span AI won 4 scoring titles on .504 TS% and posted 29.1 ppg. So he was scoring at a higher clip than everyone in the league at slightly below average efficiency. He'd be fine and he would develop a better 3 pointer. Another thing - after the rules were changed in 05 league TS% jumped up to .529. AI posted a .532 that season and won the scoring title. League average this season is .581. Lillard is posting .593 next to Giannis. Kyrie is posting. 599 next to Luka. Murray is at .582 next to Jokic. Even if AI was chucking he'd probably be close to that league average number today. Especially if he had a 2nd option worth a shit (which he never had). Trying to compare the spacing and defense of 2024 to the early 2000s is asinine. And he led the league in swipes 3 straight seasons. He wasn't a shitty defender like Trae or Lillard or Kyrie. Kobe - who's obviously a better player - put up .547 from 2000-2002 next to fucking Shaq. That number would be straight up bad for a volume scorer in today's league. Like almost Jalen Green with the car keys bad.

    USMNT 2024

    Give him the armband.
  12. Dumb, drunk Chiefs fans get injured at an NFL game? Better than the 3 guys that passed out dead in their friend's backyard I guess.
  13. I think it's top 3 at worst with LSU and Vandy. Arkansas? K.
  14. Yeah he'd be out for weeks with a knee sprain. But we already knew Bowels was an idiot.
  15. I was completely gutted when he went down. If he can play Saturday and play postseason we have a shot. If he's done then so is this team.
  16. This is a little cynical for my taste and there's no way of knowing that. Garza sucks to the extent that someone else should at least get a shot. If the next guy is just as bad or worse then vote him out next cycle. That's how democracy is supposed to work. Does it work that way? Not really - but the "what's the point in voting" attitude isn't what we need, either. Maybe we'll get lucky and one of the deranged psychos allowed to roam the streets will shiv Garza on his way into work.
  17. I wouldn't give a fuck if Ted Cruz wrote him a check for $5 million. Identity/association politics are so fucking stupid.
  18. I do that too. And the Surly hate for the world's most popular condiment never fails to amuse me.
  19. Then something like D-Day or Thermopylae. Or maybe going back to like 1969 and seeing Jimi Hendrix, Zeppelin, Dylan et al.
  20. How long do I get to stay/have to stay? We talking 24 hours or I actually have to scratch a life together?
  21. Hundreds? Ain't no fucking way. This dude is known for his starting ability, holds the 60m world record, holds the 6th fastest 100m of all time and posted a 4.12 (what looks like an extremely unofficial 4.12, btw). Sprinters don't train for the 40 the way football players do. I'd be surprised if you could find more than 20 or 25 track athletes that could post a sub 4.2. Let's keep in mind that you make a lot more money playing football than running track.
  22. See this lady gets it. All of the memes about "my husband never remembers anything! My husband is such a slob!"
