  1. Disregard what I said about Louisville not having the horses. Friday night ACC is must watch football this year!
  2. Is the "Derrick" thing a bit?
  3. Our Big 10 matchup tonight is for one of cfb's most fun trophies - the $5 Bits of Broken Chair
  4. Orange and red are so close to together, this one feels fine to leave as home and away. That works best in red/blue rivalries.
  5. If you haven't followed Hawaii's quest to get their first First-Team All American since the Colt Brennan era, the Tokyo Toe is taking over the Pacific They play Colorado State at 7/6 on something called SPSN
  6. Looking for a little cfb roadtrip this weekend? The Blue Ridge Parkway is calling.
  7. What a reveal

  10. https://247sports.com/player/rashad-streets-46154888/ I used to live 10 minutes from this kid's high school. We've been doing more work in the Triangle recently.
  11. Halfway through the regular season and the college football world is clear as mud, with even #1 Ohio State remainingly relatively untested. Midweek CUSA action has been ongoing, with some fun (if not terribly high quality) football, including a massive upset - FIU demolished heavily favored conference favorite Western Kentucky and QB Maverick McIvor in Bowling Green. Sam Houston State vs. UTEP was down to the wire, but not quite wholesome viewing. Now let's get into the good stuff. Thursday Tulsa @ East Carolina (-16) (7:30/6:30 ESPN): Poor ECU - a great party school known for its incredible tailgate scene has been stuck with constant school night assignments. Friday Louisville @ #2 Miami (-13) (7/6 ESPN): Mario Cristobal always has a shitshow or two in him, but I'm not sure Louisville is in position to take advantage if it happens. #25 Nebraska (-4) @ Minnesota (8/7 Fox): Ranked Nebraska heading to a hostile Twin Cities should be a fun game. North Carolina @ California (-14) (10:30/9:30 ESPN): Heading to Berkeley late on a weeknight as a two touchdown underdog cannot have been how Bill Belichick saw this season going, but the #Calgorithm comes for us all. Saturday Early Games #10 LSU @ #17 Vanderbilt (pick 'em) (11/12 ABC): LSU looks like a paper tiger and starting to look up how many children's hospitals they'll need to close to afford Brian Kelly's buyout. Vandy is riding high, and still mad about all their missed chances in the Bama loss. This could be historic. Washington @ Michigan (-4) (11/12 Fox): Washington fans are furious they aren't ranked. Michigan is somehow still getting more votes than them despite Bryce Underwood looking like a freshman and Sherrone Moore looking like a clown. A statement win for UDub at the Big House could solve some problems all around. #12 Georgia Tech @ Duke (-1) (11/12 ESPN): Ranked road underdog ahoy. If Georgia Tech is pitchforked in a nooner at Wallace Wade, and no fans are there to hear it, will it make a sound? #14 Oklahoma (-4) @ South Carolina (11:45/12:45 SECN): Remember top ten South Carolina? Still, the wounded Sooners OL has to face Dylan Stewart. Hopefully John Mateer's heroball antics look more and more villainous to OU fans. Midafternoon #5 Ole Miss @ #9 Georgia (-6) (3:30/2:30 ABC): Why is this an afternoon game? A top ten clash of SEC giants, with Heisman contender Trinidad Chambliss (don't watch the Wazzu tape) up against the Terminators of the the UGA defense. Let's see if Lane can conjure up some more of the magic that comprehensively wiped out LSU. #4 Texas A&M (-8) @ Arkansas (3:30/2:30 ESPN): Pig has been coach-firingly awful this season, but hopefully Petrino 2.0 and a resumption of home-and-home hostilities with the Aggies brings out the best in them. #7 Texas Tech (-10) @ Arizona State (4/3 Fox): Sam Leavitt is trending toward playing this game, which makes this matchup a whole lot more fun. Primetime #21 Texas (-12) @ Kentucky (7/6 ESPN): Leading off the primetime slate by virtue of an earlier kickoff, we head down to the bluegrass to pummel a Stoops brother. In the absense of this game being particularly interesting (unless last year's obnoxiously effective version of Cutter Boley shows up), enjoy Steinbeck on Texas football on the road: "Sectional football games have the glory and the despair of war, and when a Texas team takes the field against a foreign state, it is an army with banners." #11 Tennessee @ #6 Alabama (-8) (7:30/6:30 ABC): Does Tennessee belong in the Playoff conversation? Here's where we find out. It's the Third Saturday in October! #20 USC @ #13 Notre Dame (-9) (7:30/6:30 NBC): Another rivalry game, and one that has rarely involved two ranked teams in recent times. Do you like coastal rich kids and fanbases full of people that got outright rejected from the colleges involved? You're in the right place. #23 Utah (-2) @ #13 BYU (8/7 Fox): HOLY WAR! Bar none the rivalry I have felt the most actual hatred from both fanbases involved. Which Utah school will take the driver's seat in the race to play Texas Tech for the Big XII's Playoff spot? We've already got one arrest from Saturday's game. RIP Pac-12 After Dark Florida State (-16) @ Stanford (10:30/9:30 ESPN): Oh no, Noles. What a collapse (again). Happy watching everyone!

  14. And yet, that is the way that extremely commonly used stat is determined. It's like ERA in baseball, inherently flawed yet frequently cited.
  15. It's almost like they all do it to a degree and Texas is the team you pay the most attention to
  16. Oh yeah, he's in mid-season form everyone
  17. His kid is still nepo babying it up on their Board of Trustees. They refuse to let themselves just acknowledge that whole thing was fucked up.
  18. Fake news (for now). Smith is still there.
  19. An open near-blueblood
