  1. I didn't realize this course was pass-fail.
  2. Total play count is nearly identical. 920 for aggy, 932 for OSU. There would have been more of a disparity if not for the 7OT atrocity. OSU had more passes, aggy had more running plays.
  3. aggy 35 sacks given up #102(t); Okie Lite 34 sacks #95(t) https://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/team/468/p3 aggy & Okie Lite 89 TFLs given up tied for #100 nationally. https://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/team/696/p3 aggy had 4.9 YPC rushing in 2018 and Okie Lite had 4.8 YPC. Normally I'd say Henson will look better against a dog crap SEC schedule but OSU played an FCS team too.
  4. At this point, they have to be doing it to SAS on purpose, right? It's like Screamin' Stephen said "hey, I have a segment coming up on Haskins. Send me all his highlights." And the back room is like "this fucking guy... Send him all the running TDs and one passing TD." Then SAS doesn't lift a finger after that and runs his mouth on TV.
  5. Those are also the kind of guys that Fatterson has made a living off of for 20 years. If Herman can continue to take the cream of those players, he will reinforce the culture of our program while weakening TCU in the process as an ancillary benefit. Also does Kerstetter belong on that list as well?
  6. More recently this Michael Huff fellow ran 10.13 at an NCAA meet. But I guess he doesn't count since he accomplished nothing beyond the Thorpe Award and consensus AA.
  7. From the outside you can't understand it....
  8. Their SEC peak was hit with both their HC and OC from the Big XII. If they can rationalize that, this will be no trouble at all.
  9. I think the base data comes from USA Today. http://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/salaries/football/assistant It was a fascinating read. The thing that really stands out is that 9 of the 10 and 15 of the top 20 highest paid assistants were DCs. That made no sense on its face with all of the emphasis on offensive innovation in CFB today. So I looked a little deeper at the data using the hypothesis that any top OC was going to get a shot at HC somewhere so the DCs would have a lot of tenure and the top guys would be compensated accordingly. It all came into focus since every one of the 5 OCs in the top 20 became a HC somewhere after the 2018 season. In contrast only ONE of the 15 DCs on the list got head coaching jobs: UGa's Mel Tucker to Colorado. A hit rate of 100% on offense vs 7% on defense. I was thinking that the pendulum might swing back to defense then realized that most of the NCAA and NFL is still badly behind and desperately trying to catch up to the spread revolution on offense that we take for granted in the Big XII. Capable spread and especially Air Raid OCs are going to be in high demand for the foreseeable future so we should get used to this pattern in coordinator hiring and compensation. Here's the raw data I came up with (* denotes coordinators promoted to HC): Years Age Aranda LSU DC 10 42 Venables Clemson DC 21 48 Steele Auburn DC 13 60 Elko aggy DC 14 41 Orlando TEXAS DC 15 47 Leavitt Oregon DC 27 62 Schiano OH St DC 19 52 Tucker Uga DC 12 47 * Hamilton Mich OC 10 44 * Grantham Florida DC 15 52 Brown Mich DC 36 63 Helton Tenn OC 6 41 * Locksley Bama OC 13 49 * Day OH St OC 6 39 * Robinson So Car DC 4 37 Grinch OH St DC 5 38 Lindsey Auburn OC 6 44 * Lake Wash DC 4 42 Lupoi Bama DC 3 37 McGriff Ole Miss DC 7 51
  10. 13 is higher than 11 right? The chocolate ration has been increased from 30 gram to 20 grams.
  11. The doucheiness, it burns! Looks like the Herp spawned a couple of real cold sores here...
  12. Georgia has already demonstrated that their QBs aren't Big XII Ready(TM).
  13. They've got a whole verse of their fight song devoted to The University. Rent Free Since (18)'83
  14. Aranda at LSU is pretty damn good. I wouldn't mind raiding the upper middle class of the SEC again either. Mack treated them like his farm system for years.
  15. Sounds like something a parmecium would say. He's a lower form of life than a retrovirus.
  16. I also like the idea of motioning Bru late so he can crack back on a LB in the box with a full head of steam right after the snap. Do that and the LBs will be paying a little less attention to their primary gap responsibility.
  17. If they didn't want that they shouldn't have paid for the full hour....
  18. Lupoi's main coaching qualifications were his ability as a bagman and "Polynesian ties" - that's about it. The error was in elevating a guy to DC who was primarily a recruiter.
  19. No argument though I'm going to hold out for Scientologists as a little quicker on the turn...
