  1. I’m well over 40 shows now too, and you either have to appreciate the band in their current makeup or stop going. BStrong really has come into his own and I see Rashawn as augmenting Jeff’s perceived weaknesses. We all loved Roi and Boyd and for years I was the worst critic. At some point I stopped picking them apart and just leaned into the fact that this is my lifetime favorite band, for better or worse. I was much happier after that realization.
  2. Bought lowers for Friday and Pit for Saturday, last weekend of June, Chicago. This band is going to break me.
  3. My sister in law happened to be passing by a Waffle House when they were dismantling the sign. They were going to throw away the plastic letters so instead they gave them to her and she framed them, installed backlighting, and sold them on Etsy for $250 each.
  4. I just walked out into my cul-de-sac and there was a smoking hot Italian milf, whose dog was sniffing a tree. Turns out she moved in last week several doors down and is an investment advisor. I was running late to an appointment so I just sort of shouted at her goddamnit apples at 208 let’s schedule a cuppa. Stay tuned.
  5. The edge of one lake is on a spring used for eons by native Americans, Spanish missionaries, and everyone else traversing the deep east Texas piney woods, so a fresh clear water source is the key. I was just born lucky.
  6. The usual stuff, you know, dropping lots of structure, culling small bass, keeping it stocked with baitfish, and frying would be poachers on the electric fence. Managing vegetation is the big differentiator. Temporarily dropping the lake level every few years and clearing stuff. There are some Aggie consultants that help. Actually, my older cousin restores 1st gen Kawasaki jet skis and races them on one of the lakes, oddly, the fish seem to be unaffected. I’ll show up after a testing session and still get a fish on every cast.
  7. Oh yeah that’s been legendary for years. I think it got uploaded back when Rackspace was actually hosting YouTube as a startup, because we would all stand around and laugh at it.
  8. Not to take away from those accomplishments, but what are you feeding them? I would guess you have a secure setup to prevent pressure from poachers as well. Plus prime genetics on the stock brood. You can manage a tank like you can manage a herd. It’s unnatural but I would do the same. We’ve got 2 large spring fed lakes at our place and I always give my cousins grief about their “unnatural” fishery management habits.
  9. When watching DTS it’s easy to forget that Zak also has to be present for Pato and the gang. But then again he has Tony Kanaan as the face of that team.
  10. Funny story. I’ve been hoping my daughter would go to Al Anon. She lives in Chicago, and is starting to get work as an extra in tv and films for some spare cash. Today she shot an episode of The Bear, and you guessed it, she played an Al Anon at Jeremy Allen White’s meeting.
  11. No shit. My daughter filmed with him today and said he was surprisingly short.
  12. That’s amazing and real. Tilly gained 1.3 lbs in the last 3 weeks, and she’s hopefully going to max out at 12 lbs total. Amazing how fast growing dogs can gain weight, and you’re isn’t even a puppy. You’re a good man.
  13. And believe it or not, he’s so lucky he dodges raindrops. He could have taken a lob wedge to the skull from Elin, or a .380 in the balls from a jilted Waffle House waitress’s boyfriend, or he could have been impaled by a utility pole when he rolled the Genesis. Or snapped a limb while playing Navy Seal. #perspective
  14. BRK owns Clayton. And Dairy Queen, Justin Boots, fruit of the loom. I wrote a country song using nothing but product placement. I hope to sing it to uncle Warren before he dies.
  15. https://www.northlandgroup.org/ Breathe. Meetings should be your safe space.

Holy shit I knew I remembered her from somewhere.

No, her friend sold Alex’s pilfered family jewels at a back alley discount and relayed the proceeds. Nothing stands in the way of true love.
  18. Nothing soothes anxiety like sitting in a meeting, eyes closed, ears open.
  19. Always tough to follow justhookit but my best friend just sent me this from many many years ago. I'm in the middle with the sow, looking unimpressed. Kids don't know how good they have it. Note - I lost my virginity in the back seat of that Oldsmobile. To an actual female human.
  20. Ashwagandha needs to be taken in capsule form for about a week before the benefits become clear. I had a hop water once and it caused my euphoric recall to fuck with my head, so its a non-starter for me.
  21. Good for Henley. Glad he won Bay Hill.
  22. Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) has been used for over 3,000 years, primarily in Ayurvedic medicine, which originated in ancient India. It was first documented in Ayurvedic texts like the Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita, which date back to around 1000 BCE. Traditional Uses in Ancient India: • Used as a Rasayana (rejuvenating herb) to promote longevity and vitality. • Given to warriors before battles to enhance strength and endurance. • Used in spiritual practices to promote mental clarity and relaxation. • Prescribed for stress, fatigue, anxiety, and immune support. Spread Beyond India: • Ashwagandha also became part of Persian and Middle Eastern medicine through trade routes. • Used in Unani medicine, which blends Greek, Arabic, and Indian healing traditions. • Eventually introduced to Western herbal medicine in the modern era due to research on adaptogens. Would you like more details on its historical use in specific cultures?
  23. Ashwagandha might help reduce your cortisol levels. It’s very subtle. But nothing helps me get spiritually centered like 12-step work. I can't, but God can, and I think I'll let him. And its not a fight, its a capitulation. I know what you meant, but the harder I fight the worse it becomes. Learning how to stay surrendered is my lifelong quest. I spent today sitting in a hospital room with my mom at MD Anderson. She just had her bladder removed and her undercarriage rearranged and the nurse brought her some Oxy which she tried to refuse. I had to stress that she needs to stay ahead of the pain and it took all my restraint to not crack jokes in front of the oncologist about how the proper way to take it was to chop it up and snort it. I'm a sicko.
  24. My kiddo is an extra in the Bear, shooting this week. They pay $180/hr. She's playing a girl in a bar, so she's definitely in her element. I'm on the hook to take my nephew to a Cubs game, and my wife for both nights of DMB so Ill be there for end of June and the July 4th. I am contemplating splitting an apartment in Andersonville with my daughter because I sorta want to keep my job and I may have to take on Chicago accounts in order to do so. We were contemplating Wrigleyville but as cool as it sounds its a crazy shitshow for much of the year.
