  1. PCH will you be at Harbor on [emoji2[emoji2391]9[emoji2[emoji2391]9[emoji2391]]] am Friday?
  2. Well done! About to go entertain a bunch of people in Houston who love expensive whisk(e)y, might even break my company CC. My mental obsession has kicked in. Diet Coke or Club soda?

In what world does an experienced oilfield guy throw a tantrum and jump up and down on a trailer of pipe?
  4. It wasn't that he didn't have the strength to fight, rather that he didn't have the moment of clarity that would allow for surrender. That is the concept that nonalcoholics will never understand about how alcoholics can recover. We don't fight, we don't struggle, we ask God for an intuitive thought or decision. We surrender to win. Civilians always say “you've been successful in battling your demons.” No, I just had a moment when I realized I was whooped and in the subsequent years I’ve been to a few thousand meetings where I heard enough to be reminded to stay whooped. I'm sorry you're friend is dying.
  5. Backpack found in central park, per David Muir.
  6. I’ve reached the magical point of being married to a Cajun life, where it's an outlier when Gumbo isn't in the fridge.
  7. Tapa glitch. Tate or the Indians get the ranch, if the origin story holds true.
  8. 2 things - He and his wife were living in separate houses How the hell did local Nederland crackpot Philip Klein get inserted into this WSJ story? His firm had previously provided private security services to Thompson. https://www.wsj.com/us-news/united-healthcare-ceo-killed-what-happened-33cf8452?st=9daJqv&reflink=article_copyURL_share https://www.setpoliticalreview.com/
  9. Omg that brings back memories. In 1995 I was living at 3030 Austin avenue in the castle heights neighborhood of Waco. That address is significant because the Waco creek greenbelt is directly opposite the property before crossing under Austin and wrapping behind my former house, and there is a 100’x100’ vacant lot adjacent. Most summer evenings I would get baked AF and hit buckets of golf balls with a 7 iron across the street and into the usually dry creek bed, all the while providing audible commentary on each shot a la Bill Murray.
  10. My psychiatrist is a Hispanic woman from Webb county. She is also a close family friend and I’m convinced she’s crazier than me. The insane psycho woman that grew my children in her womb is also an LPC. I’m over it now, but I used to be prejudiced against therapists. However, wife #2 who adopted my kids and became their surrogate mother figure is now earning a MS and will be a LPC upon retirement from her state job in a few years. Her therapist is a lesbian. My AA sponsor which is the closest thing I have to a therapist is an old west Texas lawyer. If I needed serious therapy I’d find someone like Lorraine Bracco.
  11. My wife says that in one of the prequels when Tim McGraw was finding the Yellowstone the Indians said it would be “Theirs” again in [emoji[emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]][emoji[emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]]]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]][emoji[emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]]]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]]]]]] generations, which is Tate.
  12. They just had to kill the black guy…
  13. I’m about to drink [emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]] cups of coffee and then go take the biggest, smelliest Trump ever witnessed by my particular toilet. Even with the glitch I think I made my point.
  14. Jake too. He is the only IRL professional cowboy.
  15. Bytes. Bits is transfer.
  16. Indeed. Just returned home. Thoroughly enjoyed most of it.
  17. Maybe it is the way they chopped up plantations but all my wife’s cousins in LA have 100 acre lots that are 600’ x 7,260’. Nothing to bitch about, except that family touch football game kicked my old ass.
  18. I slept 7.5 hours, and the Recteq temp never varied. When I woke up, I cranked it to 350 for an hour, pulled it, and it was perfect. That brine really seals in the juice.
  19. I don't think he posts here but a Longhorn friend was driving his son’s car and nailed a deer near their ranch in Johnson City this morning. Car and deer didn't make it, and dad is going to be sore. I guarantee some of y'all know this guy but our world haven't collided here, yet. I'm on the Atchafalaya bridge right now headed to lunch. My FIL just remarked “Jack Daniels at convenience stores is the best part about this state.”
  20. Mine is on the Recteq at 225 with apple wood pellets after a 24 hr brine. Gonna pull it hopefully at 7 am, rest it in an ice chest and drive over to north of Baton Rouge.
  21. Nothing screams Thanksgiving movie like Tropic Thunder. First time for my adult children.
  22. “Honey, the brine that is simmering on the stove needs to be cold before we submerge the bird.” I don't have an ice chest big enough to seat my biggest gumbo pot so I hope HEB has 30 lbs of ice. Grateful for my big garage utility sink.
  23. That seems prudent. I can see how some people might freak out, as its the most intense light show ever. Did you get the near, far, or variable lenses? I was only 50 so I splurged on the deluxe ones which was pretty much a cost offset for 10 years worth of new prescription glasses. Now all I need is new knees, shoulders, and teeth and I’ll be good as new.
