  1. What happened to whootex?
  2. I feel the exact same way. Herman is a pretty good coach, but he isn't good enough nor does he possess the gravitas to be as much of a dick as he is. His recruiting will always be limited by this fact and his lack of authenticity, so I doubt he'll ever reach elite status. Sark on the other hand possesses a lot of the ingredients to become a great head coach, but damn he has a poor feel for in game management. Plus it looks like he suffers from that same ailment that a lot of coordinators suffer from in his inability to fill out a high level staff on the other side of his area of expertise.
  3. During the lead up to his draft there was a stat on Mac Jones saying he'd thrown to his 2nd read on less than 10% of his pass attempts.
  4. It has nothing with being smart or not. Card just isn't a natural QB. I don't know whether it's because he's a former WR or the fact that he relied on his athleticism while developing in high school, but he just doesn't have a high level of anticipation or that improvisational gene in the pass game. Maybe he'd function a bit better in a true spread offense or in an offense that incorporated his ability to run, but he needs a system with more binary reads than what we have under Sark.
  5. The kid who led Bran up north was a greenseer.
  6. I'm not sure he knew the ref was behind him. From his perspective the Giant WR was taunting him by throwing the ball at him
  7. I love Bijan and perhaps our Oline's run blocking struggles has him anticipating someone breaking through, but he does this frequently.
  8. The thing that I don't understand in all this after the fact talk about Cooper supposedly being a bad teammate or possibly saying something to Dak is Cooper is legit the least diva high level receiver I can remember in the NFL (outside of maybe Cooper Kupp). The closest he ever came to being a malcontent was passive aggressively saying that Kellen Moore should try to get the ball to his playmakers (which, duh, he should). It's almost as if his quiet nature left a vacuum for critics to project diva like qualities on to him due to the absence of him displaying any actual diva like qualities.
  9. And this isn't hindsight speaking here. Everyone said it was fucking dumb as shit in real time.
  10. yeah that's it. lets fire yet another coach adding even more to our dysfunctional program and cycling in yet another system for players to learn.
  11. If Card's first read isn't wide ass open his 1995 Pentium processor overloads and goes caput.
  12. This is straight up go-go stuff right here . A lot of the passing out of mesh concepts we saw against Bama and UTSA as well as the the 31 personnel we ran to start off against Bama that was called back with Roshon was Go-Go stuff.
  13. Davey is an absolute gem.
  14. I guess he just recently decided to make the move to Montverde. He was at John Paul II in Plano through last season. I'm glad Tre Johnson has decided to stay at Lake Highlands at least for the upcoming season.
  15. He doesn't come on until 5 o'clock or so this afternoon. .
  16. I quibble with the now in that sentence. Bob had been Aggie for awhile now. Even before his daughter ever considered going there he routinely went to Aggie games with a family friend. He complained one time about having to leave a game early because of "Suegra". On top of all that, I can barely remember BaD Radio going to Austin yet they made multiple trips to College Station, all at the behest of Bob.
  17. No, Nob's been saying Jimbo's offense is suspect for awhile now. He quit texags because he couldn't take the heat when Aggies started rebuffing his criticism of Jimbo's 1985 offense.
  18. Beat me to it.
  19. This was pretty illuminating.
  20. Nobody could go on and on about petty bullshit to near the extent that Mack could.
  21. I'm pretty sure Mack said something about it back in the day.
  22. Damn, I hate this.
  23. Yeah I know I've mentioned Matt Hill coaching in the NBA a number of times. I believe there may have been a time when both Ivey and Hill were on the same staff.
  24. Great interview. And CJ Stroud gained a fan as well.
