Ok. Intrigued by this Goldie’s method. Any recipes on the glaze/liquid for the rest? He said “lots of sugar.”
  3. Petey. Devon Rex with an odd story of how he came to live here. First cat I have ever really been around. He’s about 6 months old now and is more funny than not. He talks constantly, which was cute at first but wears thin at times. He’s cool by me.
  4. Been out of the country so had a ton of yard work today. Figured I could watch a smoker while I toiled away. I usually 321 baby backs but spares were on sale. First time I ever cooked spare ribs this way. Came out pretty good.
  5. Or float it in a pot of boiling water. Order this first...
  6. This has been my experience putting two through on a 529 and the third about to start. I am always looking for credit card points, but the universities charge CC transaction fees that undermine any reward. I just do a bank draft type of payment.
  7. My money is on the one with the best gams
  8. I don't know what he drives, but he built my hotrod.
  9. And is that some ripped up linoleum from some mom’s kitchen? I was raised country, but the movies seemed to suggest that breakdancers threw down cardboard not stylish discarded geometric plastic flooring.
  10. I was too. We were too busy jumping our bikes off this rad hill of dirt behind the Baptist church to do some dorky ass dancing crap.
  11. Yep. All over Europe now you can find small shops that carry only tinned seafood with about a thousand varieties of sardines. A bit of craze at the moment. And this reminded me that my daughter brought me a tin of sardines from Portugal a few months ago. Might be time to bust out the beer, crackers and Frank’s.
  12. I contend that no one has ever played the game Operation. We all had that loud-ass game, and we all developed our own unique technique to extract the bread baskets (whatever the F that was), but none of us have ever “played the game” by the rules. The only rule was to get them bones.
  13. How has no one thrown a coke on the dipshit beating on the trashcan or whatever? Damn near as bad as the Vandy whistler.
  14. We had a great trip. Flew into Salt Lake City, rented a car then went to Yellowstone, then to Grand Teton. Drove back down through Idaho and was blown away how pretty the area around Blackfoot Reservoir was. Unbelievable drive. Here are a few pics--none of them do the area justice. Very north end of Grand Teton when you leave YS from the south entrance String Lake. We actually swam here. It was freezing. Some guy from London saw us swimming and successfully convinced his wife to let him strip down to his undies and dive in. Oxbow Bend. We went here right at dusk to see if we could spot a moose. No luck, but it was beautiful. Hiked to top of Inspiration Point. It was much higher up than the pic seems to show. I dug around in my backpack and found a banana. Daughter pulled this bag of crack from her backpack. All the granola eaters were 'mirin'. On the way up on the hike, we came upon a black bear--about 30 feet away. We moved on pretty quickly. Speaking of bears, saw this one in Yellowstone. It was several hundred yards away. Still cool though. And about as close as I would want to get.
  15. Lots of people out here rave about it. I need to get up there. About 10 miles from the farm where my wife grew up (alas, sold it a few years ago). Not much up there and a fairly drab drive, but you will likely see a pheasant or two along the road if you are driving about dusk.
  16. Boarding a plane in a few hours to SLC then driving tomorrow to the park. Been a long time since I have been up there. Looks a bit rainy, but I suspect we will manage. Youngest daughter graduated high school on Friday and just the two of us are going. Feels as if this is the last chapter in a book I have been writing for 25 years.
  17. The desk clerk saw it all real clear; He never hit the brakes and he was shifting gears.
  18. I’ll know more when I get back. Remind me to provide details. I’m staying at the Imperial in city-center. https://www.imperial-hotel-copenhagen.com/

  20. Leaving in a couple of weeks for 10 days in Copenhagen for work/some fun. Any must-visits? Doing a couple of excursions into Sweden including the Kullaberg Nature Reserve.
  21. Look at Richie Rich over there with the double meat bologna sangwhich
