  1. Does he have one … or can they find it if he does?
  2. Not making excuses or looking for pity because injuries hit everyone. It’s how management reacts that matters. Mike Elias gets an F. He is the undisputed target of ire among O’s fans. Throwing multimillion💰contracts at Tyler O’Neill, Charley Morton, and Gary Sanchez can’t be justified. Boy genius played his fiddle as the place burned down.
  3. Three guys penciled in as SP at some point this season have not made a single appearance, a fourth, Zach Eflin, been on IL twice and is now done for the season along with closer, Felix Bautista. Charley Morton’s season start was A.W.F.U.L. and he was traded. In fact, they traded anyone with perceived value for P and other castoffs who may be part of offseason deals. Pitching isn’t the only issue. Gunnar Henderson was injured and missed the first month of the season. Jordan Westburg had recurring problems with a wrist broken last season, then had a round with a hamstring. Colton Cowser broke a wrist sliding into 1B then concussed himself crashing into the OF. Heston Kjerstad was beaned last year and has regressed from an already weak start to his ML career. Ryan Mountcastle missed 2+ months with a hamstring. Tyler O’Neill is as familiar with the O’s IL as all of the other teams he’s been hurt for. Adley Rutschman missed time with a back problem. The guy they signed to back him up, Gary Sanchez, is on the IL and done as an Oriole. I know I’m missing someone or three. Since the trade line, they have not started an OF I’d ever heard of .. no joke. I knew of one of their three “passing thru” C while both Rutschman and Sanchez were out at the same time. Truly need a scorecard .. numbers in the 60-80 range are not uncommon. “Nobodies” is a perfect descriptor.
  4. You’re not the only one of us who walks that line … year after year.
  5. Hadaway have Texas roots?
  6. 3B made a helluva play to get the second out force at 2B .. kept the tying run from coming to the plate. Put a ⭐️in your scorebook …
  7. He must breathe thru his ears …
  8. … and Bristol wants to host an NHL game? 😵‍💫
  9. Galindo found his level … calling LL SW Region Elimination Game.
  10. I began watching the original series before streaming … Netflix DVDs in the mail. My last episode was Rita’s murder. Bummed! Never watched another minute … but, the urge is back. 💉 🔪
  11. Good pick up. Dependable glove at several IF positions .. 3B is best .. and a not a headache. A smile is about as demonstrable as he gets. Hated to see him go. But, there are youngsters on the ML roster who need his innings.
  12. She needs to guard against grease poppin’ and splatterin’ …
  13. My Mom and Dad loved baseball … thankfully, I had no choice. Our family spent many summer evenings at Disch Field rooting for the Senators. We saw a few future MLers pass through … Frank Howard (Victoria Rosebuds) and Willie McCovey (Fort Worth Cats) come to mind. Years later, my Dad told me that we also saw Brooks Robinson. Funny, I only remember seeing him in person many years later in Baltimore at the end of his fabulous career. Baseball was much more fun when BA, ERA, W-L were the stats we tracked … unlike now where the nerds have created data minutiae to eye rolling levels.
  14. Down can be much more exhilarating … 😵‍💫
  15. George Springer just got beaned .. 96mph fastball squarely in the left ear hole. Down for several minutes before getting up with assistance and went straight to the locker room. Definitely dazed. Hope he’s OK.
  16. I saw Exorcist in its opening week in a DC theater on Wisconsin Ave. Afterwards, we got lubricated at The Tombs in Georgetown which is located at the top of what’s called now “Exorcist Steps.” Seemed like the appropriate destination that night considering the movie put my date in a rather clingy mood … oh yeah.
  17. Baltimore might be a better LL team than Colorado … Gunnar Henderson scored on a wild pitch … from 2B. Rockies P never budged while Henderson never broke stride. Williamsport is waiting …
  18. Two Colorado P threw 56 pitches while giving up 9 runs in the 7th inning of tonight’s game in Baltimore.
  19. … until he comes to bat and kills two or three scoring opportunities per game.
  20. Human Scottie fighting his inner Machine …
  21. A Machine today … like many of his days.
  22. I lasted until mid-2 … confirmed if “TEXAS” isn’t on the front of the jersey, it doesn’t interest me. I won’t give the WNBA that much time. If I want to keep an eye on something that low and slow, I’ll do a brisket.
