The coolest thing about Quinn is as soon as he sees its a touchdown pass, he hauls ass off the field.
<$995ers> Card has the advantage over Ewers in the area of celebrating with his teammates. Something to monitor going forward.

Unless Patterson skips the game and PK reverts, there's a good chance we pitch a second consecutive shutout.
Doubtful. Every single FBS team scored last weekend except OU.

I think Ewers is worth an 11 point swing in Vegas betting odds.

Where did you get that Quinn didn’t travel? There’s no way he’s not making the first road trip.
Nobody said that.

He’s not the fastest ever but keep an eye on Bama’s Jameson Williams. He didn’t run the 40 at combine and won’t play for the Lions until week 8ish but his tape at Alabama is unreal. Freakish speed. There’s a reason the Lions traded up 20 spots in a WR loaded draft to get him.

He had a net 86 yards against Houston, admittedly the only game I watched.
Excellent analogy.
No. 86 yards gained. 28 net.

You could tell they all were elated that it was Smith on the game winning TD. They were defensive about the fact he wasn't the game 1 starter and asked me, "How could he have not been the starter to begin with". I explained that he grew up playing in a Vince Young style offense (Please Im not making a comparison here) And in Texas High School football a lot of success comes from having your best athlete with the ball as often as possible. But in college football (unless you are in fact Vince Young) you have to able to work the entire offense and at this time Donovan Smith can't work half the playbook. I believe he's smart enough to learn the rest of the playbook he's just not there yet. So the OC is going to pick a starter that can run all the plays and that in fact was Shough.
You explained football to D1 football players? You’ll fit in perfectly on surly!

I found video of the deer that Smith runs like. @torre

Good info, but you failed to mention he is 6'5"/230 and runs like a deer. We will miss Overshown in the first half.
He has been intercepted and sacked alot likely for reasons you mention, but he is a leader and the team rallies around him. Kid is a baller.
A deer that has these rushing yards in three games this year: 9, 28, negative 9. 🤷🏻♂️

Then again, I questioned Ewers before the OU game so I’m a bit of a Satya disciple.

so you don't know when the last person to get flagged for it or how many times it has.
You can’t just demand that somebody provide an example when the data isn’t easy to retrieve. That’s not arguing in good faith. @NoName

I don't view them as ripoffs of uncle drew. neither goff nor manning were trying to pass off as a retired grey haired uncle that somehow played like a pro athlete.
OMG. Try not to be so literal. Pro athlete uses a costume and pretends to be bad at their sport is not a new idea. And that’s fine.

Did they really clean up Galindo's call on the Bijan Johnson TD here? Jesus, Lowell, when some social media interns have to dub your voice over your original call, you must suck.
I hate Galindo but you are smoking crack.

All of this is logical and makes sense and stuff I was hoping we’d do (along with actually, you know, tampering with guys).
here’s one thing you didn’t mention NIl wise that I’m curious about:Might we see a return of the 4 year superstar? Let’s say a guy like Bijan is targeted to go something like 20th overall (he’s a RB and that’s not super unlikely to be the spot for the top RB on the board). That’s something like 4/14M territory. Will there be the possibility if he’s likely the missing piece to a final 4 entrant type team to scrape up $5 or 7M or something to stay? Is that money unrealistic for the right guy?
I think we all know VY coming back would have been about as close to a guaranteed title as possible. Could we see a $10M type deal for a guy like that? Would it matter?
The issue with that is it delays the second NFL contract by a year. I could still see it happening but it would take a particular personality type.

Just to stir some shit up...
https://www.teamrankings.com/ncf/odds-movement/ats/results/
Teamrankings.com has historical line movement dating back to 2008 season. 11,583 games. Largest movement from opening to close was 8 points which happened only 14 times.
This would miss a scenario where a star was injured in the previous game as that injury is presumably baked into opening line of following week. So dating back to 2008, there hasn't been an instance of a player being unexpectedly unavailable after opening lines were published that resulted in more than an 8 point swing.

I live about 2 miles from our little cousin’s commuter school. The “210” stuff is so cringe in SA.
We need to leave no doubt today. Sark needs to make a statement- this is the kind of game Texas used to win 49-7 with no struggle.
210 is his way of showing love to his homies back home.
