On a team with full of spares and no #2?  Lol. Look at Wood last year at Houston. It doesn’t matter the coach; if you have a team where CW is your first or second best player, you’re not going to rely upon that player to get you wins, particularly when that player isn’t a ball handler. It’s a pretty simple concept.

It would be so much easier if you just admitted that you are desperate to see the Mavs win and are willing to suspend disbelief and accept any argument in support of Kyrie and Wood succeeding in Dallas. No matter how convoluted the logic is. Like, “the coaches don’t see Wood in practice, they are hard coded to use his Houston performance”.

You understand team building with all the nuance of a potato. As an org, the Mavericks clearly don’t trust him, otherwise they would have extended him already. Kidd doesn’t trust him, see his being hesitant to start him and playing him 17 minutes last night in a game where they were short handed.

Now, that doesn’t mean they just give him away or that he can’t be useful in spots. But now they’ve set themselves up for the classic: don’t trade an asset at the deadline, don’t extend him, and watch him sign somewhere else with nothing in return in 5 months.

I was hoping to package Wood and whatever else to upgrade the roster for this year and make sure they don’t lose him for nothing this off-season. Nico apparently did as well, but I guess the right deal wasn’t out there. That’s fine, it happens. But Wood being this team’s 3rd most important player really lowers its ceiling.

I like the part where he said 3rd bananas don’t drive a team’s W-L record. Pure uncut idiocy. 😂 @Porterhouse

    Richardson gone too.

Four more second round picks!?!?!? There may be a draft soon where the entire second round is just the Spurs and Thunder taking turns.

They really need to start calling these picks “pick options” or something. Some of these picks are so highly protected that they will never convey. Btw, NBA teams can fractionalize picks. Theoretically one pick could be split in to 30 options and traded to 29 other teams.

I'd say Penny. I had the Pippens though and they were pretty cool, too. a0e6d87aafb47fd8143847fa080bca54.jpg

20,21 and 41 is one more than 2x21. It makes zero sense to write it out that way but technically you could argue the facts are correct because it just says one number not one of the variable. It is just not solvable in the way it is written as there would be too many variables. Teacher is dumb.

41 is definitely not one more than 2x21. @Brew

Every year we let this guy play, and every year he's a huge douche.

You guys love it. Btw, the level of play has vastly improved in the last few years. Far fewer people just going chalk with picks. Definitely due to my criticisms from previous years.

Looks like 4 people have a chance to finish in the money (1st or 2nd)

    Jameslaw

    Quinn Ewer’s Haircut

    Me

MNLonghorn (best possible finish is 2nd)

If we all pick Georgia and they win, it will be James and me finishing 1-2.

Let the game of wits begin!

Congrats to the top 2 on their still undetermined payouts. I mean the bowls only started a month ago, I’m sure @BigOrange1 will break out the abacus soon. 🙄

When reading up on commotio cortis, I noticed that it was said to occur primarily in young boys/teenagers given they're not fully physically developed. I would think that the shoulder pads and the extremely well developed physique of a NFL player would be a mitigant, but the force applied by a NFL RB is also a lot to take a direct hit with.

Also editing to add what goes without saying, I am terrified for Hamlin, his family, and his teammates. Hoping for a miracle.

A lot of people want Deion to fail for no real reason besides hating a guy they don't even no personally. I hope he succeeds, I also hope they beat TCU. Not sure why anyone here would be rooting for TCU to win that game.

I don’t think anybody hates Deion. The hype is annoying. I think we can all understand rooting for the overblown hype articles to go away.

It's not just opposing fans. How much do you alienate your own fanbase letting him back on the sidelines, guilty or not? Perception is reality.

Just ask Cecilio Dominguez, a beloved fan favorite and franchise star. That was a 2022 case study on how fast shit can go south, and that happened right here in own own city with a shared fanbase. It got real ugly between club and fans when Austin FC tried to slowly bring him back. He now plays in Mexico i think.

Well yea, soccer fans are all fruits.
