  1. It seems like Cooper is looking to be the only back in the class. Edwards jumped the gun on an offer to somewhere he doesn’t want to go because the money wowed him. I’m fine with the outcome, personally.
  2. That guy saying he wished Manning went to Georgia so he could cheer for him has to be the tiniest dicked poster ever. Just flat out admitting he’s living vicariously through a conference opponent so he can enjoy wins. What a fucking pussy.
  3. I couldn’t believe he was projected (and then taken) in the 1st round. He was picked on regularly and just looked like he sucked. But, hey, he started for Saban in the secondary. I guess anything could happen from here, but he still looks like he sucks. I legitimately thought this was a scene from Sling Blade at first glance.
  4. I am just lazily going off of the generally accepted list of 8 blue bloods that someone wrote about in a defining book in its time. Hell, I don’t even remember the book but I am sure Google or Wikipedia would tell you. This list is generally who is being referenced from that original notion: (in no particular order) -Texas -OU -Nebraska -Alabama -Ohio State -Michigan -Notre Dame -USC I don’t remember the methodology or criteria and I am not convicted about this list changing or not. It just kind of exists for me. It’s no different than public Ivy designation. I don’t care if people want to move Miami of Ohio or William & Mary out or not, just tell me why and don’t remove Texas. Please and thanks. I haven’t bothered to research it myself, but my father, who is as big a CFB fan as any of us and played at Rice, has gone on at least 100 rants in my lifetime about the lack of merit in Penn State’s history. Most of those rants predate Sandusky and Paterno’s pedophile factory. The claim is that Paterno was a scheduling coward as an independent constantly set up his schedule for outcomes that he then didn’t get credit for from the voters, which then led to him perpetually whining in front of mics and cameras. Apparently, that pedo enabler threw a hissy fit in 1969 that Nixon awarded Texas the title live on tv after the Arkansas game. Texas responded by getting PSU invited to the Cotton Bowl. Paterno then called that a UT home game, declined, went to Miami and played in the Orange Bowl where he continued to bawl about Texas. Maybe the blue blood lable-ers are from the same era. The last paragraph. What in the fuck. I laughed. Absurd.
  5. 2nd Scrimmage update spoilered below. Highlights: -The offense is now awesome. -Fasusi running first team. That’s mostly due to an injury to their starter and no depth, but they’re all spinning it that the guy is their Kelvin Banks. -Similar update for Fodje. He’s going to have to play this year, but that’s awesome news. -Still holding a bunch of guys out due to injuries.
  6. You can’t see it for the same reason you couldn’t get into Texas and wound up at Tech in the first place - you aren’t smart enough to see anything on your own. Even when something is spelled out plainly to help you follow things, your room temperature IQ gets in the way.
  7. Ohio State insiders are talking more and more about Serevield moving from OG to LT “seamlessly”. Right. Additionally, the Minnesota transfer, Phillip Daniels, might be their starter at RT. They’re acting like that’s a good thing but he was an also-ran for them in commentary from the spring and summer. Apparently he has gotten into a fistfight at almost every practice with someone. Finally, an insider reveals that Day is treating the Texas game like it is Michigan. “He knows this game is a big deal nationally. “ Yes, please. Prepare for this game the same way y'all have been preparing for Michigan the last 4 years.
  8. Lots of buzz out there today that the NCAA is dropping whatever they have left of a hammer on Michigan tomorrow. Ohio State boards are flat out giddy.
  9. How many lower leg injuries are ever actually “minor”?
  10. Jermichael was apparently the biggest issue in that recruitment. His ego and expectations sound as large as his child support obligations.
  11. I thought about putting both letters in caps but figured it would get figured out. I was taking a thinly veiled potshot at this thread’s resident cyclone.
  12. Huh? She started as a student at the school newspaper for Indiana and covered the Knight story as it unfolded. He famously called a meeting with her and bullied her, threatening to get her expelled and other shit. She keep investigating and writing the story anyway. She’s taken very seriously and for good reason. If that happens, every weak contrarian in the media will be picking them to win. It would be outstanding. I don’t think they beat both Auburn and Michigan though, maybe neither.
  13. Washington passing Shannon has seemed preordained to me. Were it not for Washington missing the spring, I doubt it would have to be a thing. That said, I don’t think they’re bullshitting us about Shannon being a good blocker. If they play him in situations, they’re doing it because they want to, versus having to do so.
  14. Key, I think. I was hoping Texas would talk to him. Pundits have been harping on “Matt Rhule in Year 3s” as a thing. I assume he went to double digits or close at Temple and Baylor and they expect it at Nebraska. Fine by me. I would absolutely love to meet Nebraska in the playoffs.
  15. Schtick or not, I fucking love it. It’s always acerbic and backhanded and then it spins you guys up to respond. And y’all usually make good points that i agree with, or least Al tries on his end. It’s work the occasional 3 minutes of my life. His work on the sooners is often even better.
  16. The most unbelievable part of Daniel’s’ 2023 season is that he was (mostly) uninjured while running amok. Cheap shot from fuckhead Dallas Turner aside. The Iggy hype the OSU boards are fomenting reminds me of the CB at Bama who was picked on constantly and then taken in the first round of the 2024 draft. Did that guy have a good rookie year? I remember debating him in that year’s draft thread. That image you guys have been quoting is hilarious. That looks like a 350 lb man getting easily ragdolled.
  17. Go back through the various aggie threads where people retread the trope “this site always underestimates ATM and then we’re all disappointed when they beat expectations”. This thread, 2026 recruiting thread, the 2025 football thread, and Tell Me Abour ATM are good starters.
  18. Elko is Fisher Part Deux regarding being a star chaser. For Georgia to not even feign interest on an in-state guy means there’s something seriously problematic. Is he a tweener? Is he a made gang member? Is he asking for QB money? It has to be something.
  19. And yet people on this site and idiots in the media think these guys are going to do something better than 8-4. Right now, 4 of their road opponents are ranked, and higher than ATM to open. That doesn’t include @Missouri who very well could be ranked when ATM shows up. So, yeah, sure this is the year they break through on the road and become a completely different program.
  20. I just find their ratings to be askew with CBs more than anyone. I’ll have watch guys, see them get picked on, and then they’ve got a higher grade than the CB on the opposite side of the field who the opposing team was avoiding like the plague. If memory serves, the returning starting CB for Ohio State had a higher grade last year than his drafted counterpart and the dude returning was holding/PI machine who was almost always in danger of getting burnt.
  21. I don’t disagree with this, for the most part. Texas misses out on guys every cycle because the player or the program realizes that Austin and the fishbowl of UT’s brand would not be a good fit. It happens early in most of the processes but occasionally a guy will visit and then one or both realize, yeah, there’s a better fit somewhere else. Bussey, two cycles ago, fit that on both sides. Unfortunately for him, he chose ATM instead of somewhere like KSU that would have actually developed his 5 star talent. My one quibble there is that Tuscaloosa gets a lot of credit from folks as a small town. It is and it isn’t. It’s an hour from Birmingham and that’s a decent sized city. Driving from the airport to Tuscaloosa isn’t a drive through wide swaths of forest or farmland. It’s like driving through smaller and smaller suburbs to an exurb.
  22. I can’t speak for all of these malcontents, but we’ve taken our kids to Disneyland or DisneyWorld every spring break for a decade through 2023. We’ve had fun every time. Although, I lost it on two different trips with strollers while being rushed to get on a bus. I tried to hammerthrow both into a lake. One wound up stuck in a tree and the other one landed perfectly upright, 3 feet from the water. Greg Davis 3rd Down graphic guy got the one by the water and broke it down and brought it onto the bus for me while I kicked dirt and then did the walk of shame with people murmuring and darting out of my way on the bus. The time it got stuck in a tree, my Kentucky football buddy climbed up and got it down for me. My wife and kids and his wife and kids took a different bus. I’m convinced to this day that strollers are designed by angry women who want to make dads look like fucking idiots. Both times I remember, while spinning with the stroller and ultimately letting it fly off into the air, thinking “this isn’t going to end well”. I use PFF a lot and pay the sub. I will say, they’re weakest in their analysis with the secondary. Probably a function of access to footage or something.
  23. It’s a 10 year old’s birthday trip, you dirty shitheel.
  24. I have never worn a jersey to a sporting event, as a fan, in my life. Surely I did not actually make a bet about wearing a jersey if McJaggerson rips off a good season. Right? I’m seeing it mentioned enough now that I’m paranoid I had some sort of delusional break and blindly agreed to stuff while mentally unconscious. That said, I will be wearing a “Grumpy” shirt as part of a themed trio at Magic Kingdom tomorrow, so I guess public humiliation via clothing is not impossible for me. I don’t think my wife posts here surreptitiously, though.
