  1. Well no shit, but did it make you laugh or smirk? I don't know anything about the dad and his behavior for it to resonate. We're not on NextDoor here.
  2. Sorry if this has been addressed, but how do I actually avoid handing the ball off to the first option in a triple option or when calling RPO. I'm sure it's something simple that I missed, but it's caused me to never call those plays.
  3. I remember it being 57. Not self-loathing enough to go look up any part of that shit though.
  4. I know nothing of Klubnik's father, so this one is lost on me and likely most anyone else reading it who doesn't know the family.
  5. I get rationally pissed off when I go to dinner with five other people and someone attempts to get the rest of us to split the check six ways.
  6. I have a simple request for @immamac to live up to the shit this site talks, because this kind of bullshit makes it easy. Find where I overtly said that Sarkisian is back on the sauce, where futureman claims I did. I’m being asked about it now. If I did it, ban me. However, if I didn’t and this guy is attempting this here because he is an angry and worthless troll, IP ban him. There’s no reason to keep one of us around, depending upon who is right.
  7. Shut the fuck up you enabling idiot. Any more ignorant idiocy from you and you should join the other uninformed rubes in silence. Christ. Thank you. Christ.
  8. Boy, I haven't even seen a futureman post quoted in forever. I forgot that that rube existed. Anyway, he's lying. I never overtly stating anything about Sarkisian drinking. For anyone who doesn't have that piece of shit on ignore for some reason, feel free to neg that bandwidth drain for me.
  9. I enjoy these threads and adding my thoughts/predictions to them. I have absolutely nailed some weekends over the years and made a complete fool of myself often enough as well. CFB is the best because it is obnoxiously hard to predict. Thursday: -I know NDSU isn't what they were under Kleinman, but they are still tough in the trenches. CU has allegedly firmed things up on the OL. Why? I don't know. They lost their best OL starter to the portal and will have at least one true freshman OL starting. NDSU is a trendy/desired pick to straight up beat CU. I expect CU to win this game and I am here for it either way. If CU's OL shows signs of life, I'll start to regret buying the under on 5.5 wins this year. -Minnesota and UNC are both sneaky teams due to schedule to make a run at a title game appearance. The Minnesota QB is a New Hampshire transfer and Fleck has been celebrating the guy as a surprise Big 10 star this year. I have no idea what to make of that. UNC is favored on the road breaking in a new QB. I like Minnesota to win. If UNC wins, they will start to register nationally as a team that could be an ACC arguing point for a second or third CFP team because of their pathetic schedule. -Jax State has QB transfer from Furman that is getting some NFL buzz - Tyler Huff. I doubt I watch this game, but something of note for those who do. Friday: -FAU/MSU - this is the kind of game that Herman has historically won. I'm taking FAU in a shocker in which people declare the Jonathon Smith Era DOA but means nothing for MSU's actual future. Herman begins building his Lane Kiffin case for a return to P4. -OU/Temple - this game will be a blowout that tells us nothing about OU but causes Stan Drayton to begin working on his resume surreptitiously on the flight home. Temple is a bottom 10 out of 135 FBS team this year. -The guy at Stanford can fucking coach. Sonny Dykes on the road would concern me as a bettor. TCU wins, but the game is closer than expected. Saturday: -UGa might be starting a walk-on at TB and won't have Etienne or several back-ups. They lost their two main offensive threats to the NFL. Lovett is a serviceable #3 WR and will be UGa's #1. Mike Bobo is calling plays. Great OL and Beck, but that's a lot working against UGa. Clemson's strength is a top 15, maybe much better, defense. No one is giving Clemson a chance and Dabo is being underestimated. I'm taking Clemson with the shocking upset and it still doesn't change my opinion of Clemson for the year. -You have transposed the rivalry between Pitt and WVU onto the game against PSU. It made me laugh to think about it, really. This one could be an upset as well. If Allard is actually the dogshit he looked like last year, WVU has more than a prayer. Vegas doesn't really think so, though, giving WVU +8 at home. -The far better 3rd "early" game is Okie State hosting SDSU at 2E/1Central. I expect that to be a fistfight because of the way Gundy approaches the early season and due to the fact that SDSU is part of the cream of the FCS crop. -You summed up the Miami @ Florida game as well as one can. Whatever the fuck happens in that game should surprise no one. Someone comes out of that game with their hair and ass on absolute fire. Should be fun. -Michigan is going to have to actually run their playbook against Fresno. Fresno is a good G5 team, but Michigan is also replacing 18 starters and needs to actually figure out what they have. Orji is "freak athlete" in the sense that he's big and can run the ball and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn when he throws the ball. It could be an ugly win for Michigan. Sunday/Monday: -Give me Lincoln Riley's offensive mind over anything LSU can counter with fat fuck Beau Baker's brother as DC. -Castellanos should give FSU fits. I'm not in the new "FSU is going 4-8!!" crowd and I expect FSU to win this game. That said, it's another beating for FSU while dealing with a brutal schedule. Might matter for them down the line heading to somewhere between 6-6 and 9-3.
  10. I will give you a 6 pack and a bag of chips for Pearce. I don’t get it. I know the new blocking scheme isn’t conducive for him as a back, but just looks like he sucks. If someone offers them anything, they should take it.
  11. Are you telling me that 3 TDs/3 INTs in 6 games last season didn't impress you, sir? I think Leonard could do well at ND, but he's not a selling point for me in terms of why I'll argue that ND is going to beat ATM, and probably more handily than folks think. He's as big of a question mark heading into the game as Weigman.
  12. Biff Poggi never disappoints. He must have had them rattling heads and bodies from the jump. They open against James Madison and go to UNC in week 2. They'll probably start 0-2 and at that point I expect Biff to really step it up a notch and just start walking around shirtless in order to let everyone know that he's all business, all the time.
  13. They have "smart" clothing or devices to attach to clothing that track all kinds of data. I assume that's how they're getting those speeds but don't know for sure.
  14. Correct. Eventually, after being lampooned for how shabby y'all handled things, OU helped him get his shit together.
  15. Apparently planting callers on his radio show wasn't a safe enough space for Dabo Swinney. This year, he's taking questions via text and email only. This is a person making $11M+ per year worrying about this shit. He's Mack Jr.
  16. Billie Sims - the fucking idiot that y'all now doll up each year and fly to New York City in order to watch his dumbass ruin the Heisman Ceremony.
  17. But that's the point, Texas doesn't look away and neither do its fans. The guy's made mistakes and is battling addiction and it's all known and acknowledged. He's not been disowned and found living underneath a bridge or anything.
  18. One of Michigan Insider's mods/beat guys posted his thoughts on where things sit for each position and I've spoilered it below. A few thoughts ahead of that: -Orji is clearly expected to be the main guy at QB against Fresno State -Michigan has at least 8 TE/h-back guys on their roster and these guys love every one of them -There is a general lack of faith in Donovan Edwards being an every down back and they may need help from a true freshman -These homers think LB "could be even better!" than last year, which featured 3 LBs drafted following the season -They follow their LB silliness up with the same proclomation regarding CB/NB, where they lost an early pick from last year's team
  19. Here's some classic shit on 247. Tom Loy, who is a longtime recruiting guy nationally and for ND, starts a thread with this post below: Tom LoySTAFF Posted on Aug 25th, 5:43 PM, V I P, User Since 227 months ago, User Post Count: 114539 Aug 25th, 5:43 PMVIP 227 months 114539 Absolutely fired up to make the trip for Mike Elko's first game as a head coach at Texas A&M. Wife and I are making the trip from Nashville. Would love to link up with some A&M fans if there are any recommended tailgates to it. Staying in Austin then making the drive over early Saturday morning. Anything I should know, places to hit, please let me know here or shoot me a PM. Thanks! _____ That gets followed by a number of posts where various posters tell him that Austin is a shithole and full of hoboes and scary gay people. Then this post happens: WesleyTXAg Posted on Aug 25th, 7:34 PM, V I P, User Since 34 months ago, User Post Count: 1539 Aug 25th, 7:34 PMVIP 34 months 1539 North Gate will have all the go to bars, it’s the bar area next to campus. If you’re looking for the college food experience, Gumby’s pizza (pizza rolls), fuegos, and Laynes. Dixie Chicken is cool, but not some Mecca of bars some make it out to be. Be sure to go to midnight yell, but don’t take any videos of yell leaders and post it on social media. It’s ptsd for us. Tailgate wise I can’t personally help you out there yet, however you’ll have a great shot of walking through them telling them who you with and that you’re looking to report on the game day experience and 9 times out of 10 you’ll get in to whatever tailgate you want. Happy you’ll be there it’s a great environment for fans of CFB as well as families (north gate is not family friendly) ____ So the big recs on the thread are a shitty pizza place, a shitty texmex joint and a national chicken tender chain. Then he recommends Midnight Yell, but please don't tell anyone else about it. And that's the best post on the thread.
  20. Your institution let a Heisman trophy winner panhandle underneath a fucking bridge as a homeless person once upon a time. Texas always and always will take care of its own. Whatever VY's demons, he's getting a ton of help to deal with them and he's well-paid as an ambassador of the program, to boot. I'm not sure bagging on Vince Young is directionally productive for anyone on this site, much less a sooner.
  21. TSRH regarding Matt Rhule evaluations. Apparently, there's pretty good consensus that this guy's frame shows plenty of room for growth. I'm guessing Gerry's been by to actually see him in person and will offer better insights on that than anyone else could.
  22. I posted this on the "Tell Me" thread as well but here's a photo that Nick Scourton put on Insta, apparently bragging. Is it a good thing when the 3rd fastest player on your team might be a back-up DE? I knew ATM was going to be slow this year, but damn.
  23. So Nick Scourton posted this on his Insta and some poster on Aggie 247 c & p'd it over there. The third fastest player on their team is apparently a backup defensive end. I know they're a slow team this year, but, well, wow. One of my favorite riffs ever. They apparently just told Rickles to cut it loose and this is him just winging it. That guy was a treasure.
