  1. What one sees upon opening multiple threads on surly right now ...
  2. I've linked it to start with Sarkisian. Drag it back to start if you want to hear Arch.
  3. Not even a little bit.
  4. And you'll be disappointed if they don't. Negative Nancy is your name.
  5. I don't disagree it's technically the right call. His hand got on the facemask. Just saying it's not like his head got yanked around and he didn't leave his hand there. It's like a lot of targeting calls. As for he QB getting trucked, he wasn't defenseless and it wasn't targeting, so not exactly sure why you mention it. Guy was going all-out like an RB to gain the first, which they gave to him on a bad spot.
  6. Didn't look like it to me. Of course, ESPN is a shit show when it comes to replays, camera shots and posting down and distance.
  7. Weak facemask call. His hand came off it just as soon as he felt it and he didn't pull with it until his hand dropped to the shoulder.
  8. Clark stumbled. I'd have to see a good replay to tell if he could have caught it otherwise.
  9. UTEP got away with a hold on the reverse there.
  10. Nice. Build on that Arch.
  11. Simon be nimble, Simon be quick, Everyone on defense can suck his dick.
  12. You seem like dogshit yourself.
  13. espn taking forever to post down and distance.
  14. Excellent. Simon wrapping the ball up on that run.
  15. He runs with purpose. Good to see. Maybe his light bulb is finally coming on. Unrealized potential thus far. Hope he can keep progressing.
  16. Fire the camera man. Awful field of view.
  17. Simon has good vision and instincts. Needs to wrap the ball up in traffic though.
  18. Warren Roberson was a liability last season on special teams and he's still at it.
  19. I would add inconsistent OL play to that. Yes, Arch needs to improve, but penalties, complete whiffs in pass pro and poor run blocking have a whole lot to with killing drives and QB play. So I'm just looking for incremental improvement each game and I'll be elated if it's more substantial than that from all the players. This series of tune-up games are just what the doctor ordered for a brand new OL and young players.
  20. And I'd also add, he's slept an awful lot since his first two starts last season. I'd not even bother counting them because continuity in the saddle is an important factor. He's familiar running the offense, but that's against the same defense all the time where he knows their tendencies and doesn't have to worry about getting sacked or a real loss. As he develops, so should the OL. They have a lot of room for improvement too and so long as they do, that will make a big difference in sustaining drives.
  21. I think you're taking far too much from this game. Or said another way, wait a few more games before trying to draw any conclusions. For instance, this was Clark's first live reps. The coaches were substituting in multiple players on the depth chart to get them used to playing under the lights in a real game. Baxter and Clark are both on a progression. Their ceilings are yet unkown and the OL was also inconsistent. Wisner is not 100% either. Gibson looked good, except of course for the fumble. Hopefully, he doesn't continue that theme, and no, I'm not ignoring his issue with it last season, but I'm unwilling to write off the team or a player based on a single fumble or game this season.
  22. Michigan caught them with a wrinkle. It will be interesting to see if they can wear them down in the second half.
  23. Michigan fired up.
