  1. I believe that color is a result of Achiote derived from annato seeds. A search of "pollo achiote" will turn up various recipes.
  2. You need glasses He's more of a mismatch physically than Sanders, but not as dynamic. Has decent hands and good body control. He also takes his blocking duties seriously which is certainly ahead of Sanders in HS and for that matter, maybe better than Sanders in college as well. But he'll need to improve his technique against D1 players. Stands too upright and gets away with it for now.
  3. A few things. It might not have been clear as day in fall camp last season. Baxter had the size as a true freshman, but his body clearly wasn't up to the rigors of being RB1 whereas Brooks had several years baking in the oven and some live snaps under his belt, even if they were in garbage time. Personally, I was always high on Brooks' potential. But I always thought he'd shine outside more than the inside. He really developed. The difference this year is that Baxter has a year in the oven and should be poised to take a significant step forward if his body holds up. Will he? We'll see. But I wouldn't assume Baxter will play second fiddle to Blue just yet. Blue will surely bust explosive plays. He's motivated and Sark has all the off-season to dial up and fine tune play calls featuring his skill set. That and if the Kool-Aid regarding the OL is bonafide, there will be big holes to exploit.

  5. Time will tell, but they both seemed to work hard and bide their time. Sark's comment about him working hard and it paying dividends is such a positive. Not only for him, but for the message it sends to everyone on the team. I'd also add, I don't think of Wisner as a "KR" kind of player. I just the like the idea of integrating him into the offense and getting him touches. If that's the vehicle that does it, so be it.
  6. He was prone to dings and strains. Hoping another year in the oven has his body tougher and more resilient. Says he's been working on his pad level in traffic/lower bend in the knees. He's a tall dude and likes to run upright. Hopefully it all starts coming together for him this season. Blue looks like he worked hard to build his body up. Needs to improve his hands receiving and ball security. Codaxx makes a good point on blocking and you'd like to think the coaches have made sure he knows that. Both of these guys should be pretty motivated with the talent that's behind them. It's comforting we have such a fine stable of RB's in the wings should either of these guys go down. I'd think Tre Wisner would be the first called upon given his time in the system. And that's another reason for him to get occasional touches as has been mentioned him playing a KR kind of role. That should mean he'll be more ready to go offensively instead of coming off the bench cold.
  7. Spotlight on Tre Wisner with some practice footage.
  8. I think the scrimmage is taking place in the afternoon today based on some comments in OTF video. This might well be because of a lot of recruits are on campus today. This video was posted about 50 minutes ago. Opening comment states team headed over to practice field. Closing comment at 17:20 says they'll address practice later today.
  9. Consider using serrano peppers. I've never de-seeded jalapenos, but they definitely don't have the heat they once did.
  10. He often self-sacked himself by prematurely abandoning the pocket though.
  11. I wonder if Conner has made any strides working at center. He was pretty bad the last time he had to step in for Majors. Savea being the best anchor isn't really surprising, but a little disappointing. Would be nice to see some of the younger guys come along in that regard. Hopefully, we can snag another portal prospect or two.
  12. I'm not seeing anything, anywhere. It's dry as fuck around here. His post is spot on in context with the source of his quote. Excerpt from The Rime of the Ancient Mariner
  13. Next practice supposed to be around 9am tomorrow per Bobby Burton on Coffee & Football this morning. Hopefully this thread gets back on track. Minor commentary on Spring practice in first 1:30 of video below. Beyond that, it's a long video so ...
  14. That does not mean they aren't produced to his recipe and standards though. It really doesn't matter if he owns the factory or contracts it out. Note, I don't pretend to know the real score on this, but according to https://earlcampbellfoods.com/our-story/,

  16. OK, Raggy. But if this is lacking great depth, we sure have come a long ways. Helm looked pretty damn good last season as a receiver with the limited opportunities thrown his way. Hoping his blocking improves, and expect it probably will. He does whiff sometimes. Music to my ears if it rings true this fall. Secondary has to get better than last season. Overall, lot of Kool-Aid in this report.
