  1. They can. I had forgotten that their head coach was the OC in PHI for '21-'22. He was able to get that team to 8 wins last year with Richardson and ancient Flacco as QBs. It's no surprise the move the ball well and score a decent amount of points with a reasonably competent QB. Yes, I just called Daniel Jones competent
  2. Glad you brought this up. There were times during the game (and other games this season) where I saw what I perceived to be apathy or resignation. I think dispassion is a better term. I chalked it up to the team's realization that it has problem areas and they are just waiting for that wheel to fall off or that tire to go flat. Add NIL, where some guys are making crazy money while performing poorly, it can be a recipe for dispassion and/or resentment. Do you think the players dislike each other?
  3. The details on the NVDA investment are interesting. NVDA agrees to collaborate with Intel on high speed interconnect in the server space and to integrate nVidia graphics in the client space. Intel sells $5B of stock to nVidia at $23.28 per share. As of close of business on Friday (INTC at $36.83), that's a 58% return.
  4. Let's not forget the holding penalties... There was a holding penalty on a sack in the 3rd quarter. Penalty declined. And another holding penalty (Baker) to open the 4th quarter. Washington also had a holding penalty late in the game.
  5. Who cares if Tech has done anything or not? And why does it matter. This year - and right now - they are going out and controlling games against reasonably good competition: Utah and Houston. And they are crushing inferior competition. If Sagarin and other computer rankings are to be believed, Utah and Florida are mid-20s. Houston is mid-40s. Tech handled Houston and Utah - on the road. Texas did not. Texas is struggling with teams who have a pulse and struggled with some who do not. This may be despair and over indexing on yesterday’s outcome, but it looks like Tech is in a pretty good place right now, relatively speaking.
  6. I believe Sark is starting the player (1) that he recruited (2) with the higher ceiling (3) with the stronger arm. Caldwell has a much lower ceiling, no doubt. In limited plays this year, he seems to execute fairly well. Playing him over Manning may well signal the end in some people's minds. I am strained to even suggest that Caldwell should play. He was unrated out of HS (Auburn, AL) and went Gardner-Webb and Troy. He was the 247 #122 QB in the portal, with the following ahead of him: (1) Nico (2) Beck (3) Mateer (4) Mendoza (8) Murphy (9) Weigman (11) Miller Moss (13) Arnold (26) Calzeda (38) Nelson, Purdue's #1 and #2 QB, (94) BYU starter. Texas was not going to pay for 1-4. Most of the others seemingly really stink. Not a great place when your OL is steaming refuse.
  7. https://youtu.be/82RIfy-gRa4?si=F3-hTaJFovE9BdW3 Youtube would not let me imbed. Sanchez himself is Mr. Butt Fumble.
  8. An experienced mid-quality QB hits the mid-range guys. In fact, that is what Caldwell did in his 1 pass this afternoon.
  9. Sanchez is married to Perry Mattfeld (yeah, she’s easy on the eyes) and has dated Eva Longoria, Kate Upton, and Jamie-Lynn Sigler. I guess being fit, rich, famous, and somewhat articulate has benefits. That said, what a moron. I sure would not mind being an Eskimo brother, though.
  10. Mack, is that you?
  11. Sark and Manning must be aware that the OL is a liability. If so, the plays should be called - and executed - to mitigate that liability. Not sure that is happening on either front.
  12. That last drive was just incredibe. Manning sacked, loses helmet and 10 seconds. Caldwell hits a 26 yard strike, and we benefit from a 15 yard penalty. Manning evades a sack and throws a 40 yard near interception. Manning sacked. I'll stop short of "Caldwell should starts", but Manning's pocket presence and decision making is not very good at all. Just succeeding making normal throws makes this entire offense look better. In that one play - and the handful of plays we've seen of him this year, he has a bit more pocket presence - and less panic - than Manning. Edited to add: the OL did not look as shitty on that one play from Caldwell - which is a subset of my point about "entire offense."
  13. At least the OLine is up to the task of delivering the requisite 10 penalties per game. Sheesh
  14. Napier is a fool. Run the ball. 3 times gets you 2 mins, minimum.
  15. She is a legitimate reporter for the local Fox affiliate, so I am tending to believe it is vetted. This might indicate that Sanchez could be charged.
