  1. What's so sickening is this season was set up perfect for Texas. B12 down, some really good QB's gone, many new coaches implementing new systems. A perfect chance to win the conference, but because of mind boggling coaching decisions and absolute stupidity on the field Texas won't even be in the B12 championship game. Instead a very over rated Baylor team that at least avoids beating themselves.
  2. Why would any idiot think you're going to run the ball when the other team has to sell out to stop the run?
  3. Don't know, hypothetical, did you not read 5th hand information? TH was very adamant about incorrect 5th hand information in his PC.
  4. I'm not sure it was intentional, but I was thinking it should have been. Yes, there's always the possibility of missing an easy chip shot, but I'll take that risk over another crabtree moment every time.
  5. TH talked about 5th hand information in the PC last night, and maybe Jake rumors were one of the things he was referring too. It would be absolutely stupid for him to leave. The slot position next year is basically his, and he would transfer somewhere else to try to earn it all over again? There's no logic in that at all. And if he keeps fumbling, dropping passes and punts how's he supposed to earn a position elsewhere? It's amazing these 5 star athletes think a position should just be given to them. If you want it earn it, and don't exhibit the crappy play CTJ wrote about above. Well, maybe some schools do guarantee you playing time, but I bet those schools don't have a winning record.
  6. I boggles my mind why any team runs the ball against Texas when moving the ball through the air at will is a given. Although Texas was much better in the 2nd half it still probably cost KSU the game. Thank you Kleiman for being a dummy. It reminds of 2007 as I was having a conversation with a couple of alumni buddies about how the game against the agroids would go. Back then our pass defense sucked and I tried to explain that the agroids would exploit it and win. They insisted it didn't matter because aggy was a running team. Yet I said, "today they will become a passing team". This was the main headline after the game, " Texas A&M QB Stephen McGee threw for a career-high 362 yards with three touchdowns ". How can these coaches making millions of $'s not know to take what the defense gives you? It's no rocket science, it's not even 8th grade chemistry. Again thank you Kleiman for being stubborn with your running game and playing right into the strength of the Texas defense.
  7. Is that any different than the business world, education, health care, etc.?
  8. That's one side of the story, and no it doesn't sound good. But, unfortunately we'll never get to hear the schools side.
  9. I think it's safe to say AJ is back, but the rest of the team seems to have CSWS syndrome. At least from 3. Take out AJ the team was 3-22 from 3. No way that gets it done against B12 competition. And B12 competition isn't going to go 2-21 from 3 either. Nice defense, but the offense has a long way to go. And if someone doesn't step up and take over Sims' position our guards will be constantly double teamed since no one has to guard Sims.
  10. I'm not sure there's anyone left that can tackle with 2 arms.
  11. I don't understand why the LHN has a damn aggy commentating. Megan may have an annoying voice, but just about anyone is better than a damn aggy. Certainly there's other alumni that have halfway decent speaking skills. How about Blair?
  12. Ashley Hannan is no longer on the roster, of course Sedona has been gone. Only 2 players over 6' left. Teams will attack them constantly to get them to foul out, and I doubt they can handle 40 min anyway. Gonna be a long season.
  13. Overshown was textbook on his solo tackle against Kansas, and he's one of the youngest, least experienced guys out there. Are our guys being untaught what they learned in HS by Orlano?
  14. I hope I don't jinx the team by saying this but the serving was great. As I said, if this team can just solve the serving issues they can be really good. Even Logan got on a run, which I can't remember ever seeing before. Other than the one she tried to send to San Marcos, it looks like she's finally getting in a groove. This team is good enough at blocking, defense and attacking they don't have to get a lot of aces to win. They just need to be consistent and not give away all the momentum on service errors.
  15. When you're more concerned about making an ESPN highlight reel instead of wrapping up and getting the guy to the ground that's what happens. At least that's from my experience playing DB in HS.
  16. Why does TCU have to throw the ball? All they have to do is let Delton run up & down the field on a defense that can't contain a mobile QB.
  17. Exactly, special team performance has nothing to do with coaching.
  18. Not of your talent sucks. Bill Snyder was never going to win a NC at KSU, but he was at least in the mix. The best indicator really is how well you do with the talent you have, do you overachieve or underachieve. Gary Patterson and Mike Gundy are other examples. Maybe not this year because their talent has dropped so. And it may not be the best indicator of overall team leadership if they can't recruit the best players, but it is the best indicator of ability to coach up the players you have.
  19. Tom Brady doesn't play defense. Of course neither does Texas.
  20. Or they could see a lot of opportunity for early PT.
  21. The best indicator of good coaching is how they do in 2 areas, special teams and penalties. Bill Snyder was a great example of this, along with a few others. Texas is at the bottom of the B12 and near the bottom of college FB in both. The absolute worst in punt returns in the country. Let that sink in.
  22. When is the B12 going to start fining officials for their screw ups?
  23. It is frustrating our players don't seem to be as well developed as other top teams. I have a feeling that's the main reason Lexi left. It certainly wasn't being homesick if she left for frozen over corn fields in Neb.
