  1. "How about a $10 million severance package and no more trips to Manhattan and Lubbock Mr. Bowlsby?" "Have fun in the SEC next year"
  2. To decrease the odds of a rematch youd have the pods that didn't play each other match up. The chances of a rematch would be lower especially if you had nfl style scheduling where you matched up based on previous year pod finishes.
  3. Can we get TigerOnTheMountain over here to claim his prize?
  4. Cross posting from the realignment thread: Pod 1: UT OU Arky Aggy Pod 2: LSU Ole Miss Miss St Mizzou Pod 3: Bama Auburn Tenn Vandy Pod 4: UGA Florida SC Kentucky Rough draft of scheduling rules inspired by the NFL scheduling procedures: 9 conference games. 3 intra pod games 4 games vs another pod rotating yearly 1 game vs a set rival (if not met in above requirements) LSU vs Florida Auburn Georgia etc get to keep their rivalries. 1 game vs a team with same finish in another pod. This allows for Colts vs Pat's type rivalries depending on who's a perennial contender Imo pods are on the table because the SEC could add semifinals games in Dallas and Nola. The revenue from those would be enticing enough to try pods.
  5. Hopefully the addition of Texas and OU gives the SEC enough power to abolish 11.7 and opens the doors for college baseball to all but replace the low level minor leagues. MLB has been trending that way for a few years and should welcome more players going to college.
  6. This will be their new military school and scholarship limit excuse for not ever winning anything important. Just as they were on the rise the mean ole SEC and UT conspired to take down Jimbo. The next 30 years will be really fun in the state of Texas
  7. At this point the FCS needs to move permanently to the Spring. They had a good season there this year and would help bridge the gap in lost revenue if they were the only football on TV.
  8. Pod 1: UT OU Arky Aggy Pod 2: LSU Ole Miss Miss St Mizzou Pod 3: Bama Auburn Tenn Vandy Pod 4: UGA Florida SC Kentucky Rough draft of scheduling rules inspired by the NFL scheduling procedures: 9 conference games. 3 intra pod games 4 games vs another pod rotating yearly 1 game vs a set rival (if not met in above requirements) LSU vs Florida Auburn Georgia etc get to keep their rivalries. 1 game vs a team with same finish in another pod. 9. I would love even more for them to try and move but get blocked from leaving by the other sec schools. They'd never recover from that in our lifetimes
  10. I wouldn't put it past those dorks to run to the big 10 with osu and claim a victory since they'll make $10 million more per year. Then the sec would be clear to grab Miami or another major brand.
  11. Switch mizzou and Arky and I think this is it. No way the let Bama and Tennessee get lost in the shuffle, I'm sure they're going to protect a rival from another pod.
  12. This has been crazy but the free for all that will happen when Texas and OU leave next week officially will roll this into the first of the season. Just like NBA free agency everyone waits for the stars then the other teams start fighting over the scrap pile. Next week will be just as wild imo
  13. Have some good friends in Tennessee. They're convinced that everyone in the nation calls them UT. The world series was a good start to putting them in the dirt.
  14. If a&m willingly left then the SEC would be on the phone with FSU and Miami in a heartbeat. I really hope the administration tries to pull some funny business by threatening to leave the SEC (I know not even they are that dumb)
  15. While it has a 1% chance of happening I hope that when we hear of a 13-1 vote next week somebody also leaks that the remaining Big 12 teams have reached out to a&m and mizzou to save the conference . Aggy would be stupid to take that call but man would it be the best recruiting tool ever.
  16. As a person who has lived there and generally loves the place Dallas is breeding ground for bandwagon fans. Whoever is hot at the moment will be the talk of the town.
  17. I am thinking more of this with the ags as Mike Wazowski
  18. Something just feels off about it being on our uniforms as is. Even a simple update would make it feel right.
  19. Based on their history the SEC changed their logo shortly before adding more teams. Here’s to hoping the addition of Texas and OU allows for a rebrand and the logo we have to put on the uniform is much better aesthetically.
  20. I am ready for the biggest FU tour in sports history. Texas has a legit chance to win the final Baseball and Basketball (with an outside chance of football showing out) conference championships in the conference that they helped blow up. OU should help by winning softball and football is expectations are met. This will be the most fun season ever as we stroll through each season rocking the double birds
  21. Texas will most definitely help get the big 12 dissolved by finding other teams in the state a home if it means not paying out 70 million
  22. For those worried about the Texas lege all Texas and OU will have to do is help convince the PAC to take on the 4 schools and maybe even throw Tech/Baylor/TCU a bone by scheduling a home and home 10 years down the road. Once this happens they will be free to dissolve the conference and send Bowlsby and his crew a nice retirement package while all involved avoid hefty buyouts.
  23. The rest of the SEC to aggy during the negotiations
  24. Reasons those three will say yes imo LSU- The impact of a Texas move will far outweigh the peanut research money that will be offered up by Sharp. Secondly Woodward gave Jimbo a $0 buyout for a reason and this would only speed up the process of getting him to LSU. Arkansas- At this point who cares about their annual matchup in Jerry World? The series has been dominated by aggy and if Jerry has any say I’d assume he would rather have Arky and Texas playing there once a year (especially when he loses the Big 12 title game). Missouri- This is probably a coin flip but they will be able to better recruit the states left overs and get the players that go to Ok State and TCU because they felt disrespected especially if they end up in the same pod or division and get to play them on a yearly basis.
