  1. Haven't seen anyone mention Bite the Bullet. Underrated,
  2. My Grandmother was fond of this method. Apply liberally. Extremely effective.
  3. Close. It was all kinds of dairy products from Rich Foods in Buffalo going to Kraft. Did not eat any.
  4. Shit, I almost forgot the Rush concert in Seattle 1979. It was festival seating a/k/a no seats on the floor. No problem with the opening act, but when Rush came out people pushed forward. I was about 20 ft from the right speaker stack and people were pushing so hard I couldn't breathe. I noped tf out. Turned right and started swinging until I found open space. Oddly enough, I never had a problem with an OBA. But then, you never want one.
  5. Trust me, I wasn't joking. I don't like caves of any type. Explosives don't help.
  6. Were they blasting 100 yards away from you? YMMV
  7. I'd collect some valve stems.
  8. Oh fuck this fucking guy right up the ass. Take your fucking chances you tiny dick fuck. Now ask me how I really feel.
  9. I got claustrophobic making a delivery to "The Caves" in Kansas City. It's an old limestone mine tunnel dug into the side of a giant rock ridge and goes back over a mile. I unloaded near the back and they were still blasting to extend the tunnel. Could not GTFO of there fast enough.

For a moment I was thinking Boston Dynamics and a Col. Steve Austin situation. Is that an option?
  11. Better than you'd think.
  12. I could watch Uncommon Valor and BAT*21 on a loop.

Yeah, that don't look right. Heal fast my friend.
  20. An armed SWAT team burst in the wrong door — but this North Texas family can't sue James Jimerson and his kids were fast asleep on what was supposed to be a normal evening in March 2019. His wife, Karen, says she was showering when she suddenly heard a loud bang followed by the sound of her windows breaking. Karen rushed from the bathroom half naked when she and her daughter allege they were met with men dressed in all-black vests labeled "SWAT,” pointing guns at them as Karen begged them not to shoot. Officers shouted at them to get on the ground. The SWAT team had smashed in the front door of the Lancaster, Texas family’s home, deployed a flashbang grenade and held Karen and James and their three children at gunpoint — before one officer reportedly yelled, “wrong house!” The incident, detailed in federal court documents, left the Jimersons' home damaged and their family traumatized. But the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear the family's case, leaving in place a ruling that granted the officer who led the raid qualified immunity — a controversial legal doctrine that gives government officials immunity from being sued in certain situations. In a statement, Karen Jimerson said she was disappointed the justices declined her case. In the case of the Jimersons, the Waxahachie Police Department’s SWAT team was planning to execute a no-knock warrant — which allows law enforcement to enter a home without announcing their presence or knocking — on a separate home in Lancaster suspected of holding drugs, according to court records. But officers arriving at the scene gathered in front of the wrong home. Lewis, who was leading the SWAT team, realized they were at the wrong home, and without checking the address, ordered his team to raid the home of Karen and James Jimerson instead, according to court records. “Although he later claimed that he ‘believed’ the Jimersons’ address matched the warrant, Lewis conceded he ‘did not even check the number’ before ordering the SWAT team to execute,” court documents alleged.
  21. Check the credits. It's loaded with ER people.
  22. Great news. I thought it would get axed.

Today would be my Dad's 100th birthday. Everybody thought it was last year but I know he lied to get in the Coast Guard in WWII. Lets just say homebirth birth certificates were easy to manipulate. He served on a sub chaser out of Norfolk and they had 1 probable sinking of a German sub. He got transferred to the Pacific theater assigned to an LST and was Coxswain of a Higgins boat at Iwo Jima. After the war he married my Mom and lived in California for a while working as a Line Crew chief for SoCal Edison. In the late 50's they moved back to Archer City where Dad owned the Texaco station on the corner of the square for a few years. It's in The Last Picture Show. He sold that, moved back home to Chico and went into trucking for the next 20 years. In the early 80's built a small bar/bbq joint in that did decent business for a few years before he retired. Of course while all this is going on there was the ranch to run, cattle to mess with, all the day to day stuff. He smoked 2 packs of Camels and drank a fifth of WL Weller every day. They weren't all good times, they weren't all bad times. He was a force of nature, bigger than life and I swear Mike Judge used him as inspiration for Cotton Hill.
