  1. Top 10 picks in WNBA will only make like 70 something k, could probably make quite a bit more in NIL in college.
  2. 6th seems pretty dang low. I think the QB's end up something like this: 1st - Cam 1st - Shedeur(could fall to late 1st End of 1st/2nd - Dart 2nd - Shough Late 2nd/3rd - Milroe - some team will take him because his athleticism 3rd - Howard 3rd to early 4th - Quinn 3rd to 4th - McCord 4th-5th - Gabriel 4th-5th - Rourke
  3. I just look at Miller compared to other hires CDC has made and he's no where close to the same as those hires in terms of their place in their sport. Miller currently is not a top 5-10 coach in his sport. He's probably in that 16-25 range. You obviously can't include Sark in that conversation because he was hired by CDC's bosses and RT was some circumstances built around it with the E8 run.
  4. Doesn't matter CDC chose Miller 2.5 years ago until RT threw a wrench in it. But here we are....hope for the best but expect good enough for Texas basketball.
  5. I didn't say we should hire Lucas, did I? Just proving a point that assistants can be hired from programs to be a HC. But Miami basketball has as many FF appearances as we have this century. I'll give him 5 years to make a final 4....if he doesn't he wont and he'll 61/62 by that time. Basketball isn't some sport like football that takes 4-5 years to completely turn around. We have some of the best practice facilities, best stadium, and in this portal/NIL era should be some of the best for that as well. Absolutely no excuse for Texas basketball to be content and happy with just making elite 8s
  6. Florida won a title in year 3, precedent is set. Like Miami did with Lucas?
  7. I didn't say make the final four every 3 years. I said by year 3 we should be competing for a final four appearance.
  8. Go read in coaching search threads.
  9. The way it sounds Whitehead probably won't be an option this season.
  10. Easier to be better in year 1 in basketball and flip a basketball team than football. Just a retarded bet. We should be competing for a FF by year 3, if not we will never.
  11. And that shit is why Texas has generally hired like shit since DKR. They have all these preconceived notions of what you need to be to be a coach at Texas instead of just going out and hiring best possible candidates whether that is a coordinator or HC. Dabo was a position coach before HC, Ryan was the OC before HC, Smart was a DC before HC. In basketball that is a coach that may not have experience at a larger school. Texas would never hire the coach who just won a title from San Francisco just because he's never coached at some arbitrary conference level or some bullshit.
  12. Enjoy Texas basketball continuing to be mid as fuck. Texas Basketball: We might make an Elite 8! It's just absolutely insane how low yalls expectations are for basketball given the new landscape.
  13. He was given those chances already, he's a locker room cancer. Why would you even entertain the thought of having him back?
  14. Here is her Tweet: In addition to her returning, we have to get more shooters and offense. Vic needs to adjust a little bit in terms of that to get over the hump IMO.
  15. Sark was considered the best offensive coordinator in college football when we hired him. Is Miller considered the best at anything in his respective sport?
  16. I miss the old twitter recent follow site. Was so good for recruiting and coaching stuff.
  17. It’s obvious that Turntine is taking his interior spot. Jk
  18. Realistically pops should retire and focus on being as healthy as possible for as long as he can. Should clean house in terms of coaching staff and bring in all new, potentially with no spurs ties.
  19. CJ Vogel Steve Sarkisian speaks on Texas Pass Catches (Tuesday) For the first time since meaningful spring football has been played, media was able to hear from Steve Sarkisian in-person Tuesday morning. Of the laundry list of questions hoping to be checked off today, perhaps there was no bigger concern at the moment than at wide receiver. With no Ryan Wingo or DeAndre Moore running routes this spring, Texas currently does not have a career reception on the other end of any Arch Manning pass this spring – a stat I am sure many of y'all are tired of hearing about. But alas, so updates on the early enrollees and the wide receiver group in general were made available from Sarkisian. "It's good for some of the young players," Sarkisian said. "Where, they are running with the 1's and the 2's, whether it is Jaime (Ffrench), it's Kaliq (Lockett), it's Parker (Livingstone), it is Daylan McCutcheon. These guys are just getting some valuable, valuable reps." OnTexasFootball had reported earlier in the spring the first group of receivers to trot out at the start of week two of spring practice included Livingstone-Ffrench-McCutcheon. For the most part, that group has remained steadfast. Aaron Butler, Michael Terry III and Kaliq Lockett have remained with the 2nd unit for much of the spring, with some time sprinkled in with the first group. All in all, the youth and inexperience of the wide receiver group is something Texas will have to work through, especially without DeAndre Moore (toe) and Ryan Wingo (hamstring). Moore has been seen on a scooter with a boot on his foot to protect the toe injury he has been nursing. Per Sarkisian on Tuesday, both Wingo and Moore are beginning to work back to on-field exercises, but are not close to a return. However, Sarkisian is not worried about not have the two on the field for the spring season. "I am not in a real rush," Sarkisian said about getting the two projected starters back on the field. "I know who DeAndre Moore is and I know what he is made of. He has had good rapport with Arch from last season when Arch played. I know who Ryan Wingo is. He was having a really good spring before he tweaked his hammy and he will be back. I am not concerned with those guys." Sarkisian was also asked about whether or not a portal addition would be top of mind when the window opens at the wide receiver position. "It’s not a secret that we’ll look to the portal, but I’m not going to take a guy that’s just a number.” Sarkisian also referenced to making sure the right fit needs to be available for the Longhorns to pursue in the portal. In other words, it won't just be a guy who plays the position. A portal addition must be an impact guy that fits what the program is about. If and when Texas does get active in the portal this spring, a veteran option with production would be the best guess. I will expound on that closer to the portal window as we start to project where Texas might be making additions to the roster. But Sarkisian made it clear elsewhere in the availability that this will be the youngest Texas Football team he has coached in his five years in Austin. For now, not much will change. The spring portal window opens for 10 days, beginning on April 16 and runs until April 25.
  20. We actually could win one of these girlfriends at the school recruitments?
