Glad we have bases loaded and no outs and cabbage, Abreu and Chas up

After setting a Longhorn record today for a 7 round draft, next year will be much better than this year in all probability.
Our highest ranked guy this year was #16. We had 11 guys drafted. Both should be eclipsed fairly easily next year. Call your shot here and now…Total- 16- new record for a 7 round draft
Quinn, Blue, Helm, Golden, Bond, Boldon, Banks, Major
Sorrell, Collins, Barron, Makuba, Savea, Holmes
i think all those guys get drafted. Give me one more offensive lineman that ends up being a 3 year guy (Campbell or Williams) and one more defensive player on the line.
Quinn and Banks go top 10 and one of the receivers sneaks in to first round.
After all that happens we go into 2025 more talented than 2024.

Do you remember which thread that was?
@Bevo was incredibly vocal that I was an idiot as I recall.
I mean- maybe I am but as I said at the time- it would be very surprising if one of Keilan, Ross, Whitt, Sanborn, J Thompson or Kittan Crawford weren’t taken. Obviously the last 2 didn’t deflate and instead transferred, but man it only takes 1 team to like someone and special teams are a thing.
11 would be awesome.4 minutes ago, Bevo14 said:Before the season I said 12 but Barron and Ewers fucked that up. Not that I'm complaining. Could still happen if Whittington gets drafted I suppose.
I had 10 as guaranteed if all the early entry eligible guys went and was guessing 13. Alfred Collins not going was a surprise to me.

11 on the table.
I was roundly mocked a couple months ago for betting on at least 9. Now that’s basically guaranteed.- 8

I am sure he will sign on somewhere... It would be a stretch for someone to draft him.
How many do we have left? Ford & Jones? That would push us to 8 right?I’d set the o/u at 8.5 and bet the over.
possibilities are Whittington, Robinson and Watts.- 1

It was a joke. We were mocking unnamed sources.

2.8% actual vs. 2.7% estimate.
Markets were wincing in anticipation of a big overshoot (>3.0%) based on yesterday's GDP report, breathed a sigh of relief at only a small hiccup.
Yep. Was expecting to lock yesterday afternoon and carnage this morning- but we did our anticipatory freak out 24 hours early.

Start playing baseball my dude- not keep playing baseball.

24 years since average rate was as high as it was in 2023. You’d have been able to get a 30 year fixed sub 5 on the right deal almost every single 3 year range since 2000. We shall see what this portends.

To be clear I’m not saying national average- I’m saying the right deal as Phil pointed out loan amounts, ltv’s etc.
nothing lasts forever.

I just want yall to know I hate every last one of you.
But that's just because I hate everyone and everything in the world right now.

If I see another rolled over bouncer to the left side, I'm gonna puke.
Our LHH should roll over bouncers to the right side as a change of pace.

I think we may have had a 5.99 or two but loan amount and other factors come into play so kind of apples and oranges
Yep. That 6.124 we actually paid 3k in closing costs so if he wanted he could have gotten sub 6, but didn’t.
1 hour ago, MonkeyDoughnut said:I'm rooting for you (and us), just don't see any context where that happens anytime soon. I'm much more of the belief that we'll end 2026 thinking 6.124% isn't bad.
I hope not- but that’s the way it looks right now.
hell- I will be fine with that end of 26 if we have a couple months in the low 5’s on the up and down roller coaster… -

I will keep this updated by posting my lowest 30 year loan YTD (not buying points) on a conventional loan.
Right now I had someone in at 6.124%- no points on a standard 30 year conventional. That's winning the year for the present. Hopefully I bump this post before the end of the year- but I'm starting to worry I might not.

That Caratini 8th inning AB was the bad luck of the entire season all rolled into 1. How many times does a LHH hit a LD that hard and that high and it turn into an out? 1-10? 1-20? Instead of a tied game more LOBsters. This team is cursed.

I assume you mean '23.
Unfortunately, "someday be refinanced" is literally meaningless.
There was logic in the thinking rates COULD come down and the mortgages would be refinanced. Of course that was never a certainty and some will claim they were sold a bill of goods.
I will say it for the hundredth time, I think rates coming down is inevitable due to the federal debt accumulation. whether that is 6weeks, 6 months or 60 months away is anyone's guess.
Yes I meant 23 of course.
when you say come down what do you mean? My bet is before 26 ends I will put at least a couple people/ who didn’t buy points- into a 30 year loan that starts with a 3 in it.
feel free to clip this and mock me mercilessly in 2.75 years.- 1

I still believe that almost every loan written in 2003 will someday be refinanced. Or at least refinance eligible depending upon time frame. Nothing lasts forever.

Burn baby burn.
MBs down 43 basis points. And away we go! 10 year broken through resistance at 4.67 all the way up to 4.72. Next stop-5.0!
This is totally awesome. -

I wrote down everything you said, lineup wise, this morning almost for word. I’d bat Bregman 7th just to either piss him off or embarrass him into giving a fuck. Bring up Salazar as 3rd catcher and play Caratini the majority at 1B until we find one. Send Singleton and Kessinger packing. I didn’t consider the pitching rotation because suck gonna suck, and I like your premise, but I don’t think Javier is available. Excellent thoughts though.
Brown said abundance of caution and he's eligible to come off the IL Monday night before the Tuesday start I had him penciled in. He also strongly intimated Framber was going down in Mexico. If neither of those things happen I'm going to assume in the future every time his mouth opens up he's lying.
I actually like Arrenghetti- I think he's got some swing and miss stuff. Of course- Hunter Brown used to- I have no idea where that shit went to.
2025 NFL Draft

Gerry has 11 getting drafted, Blue not coming out and none of the portal guys going. He sits down to pee. He and Bobby were like “maybe we get 7 or 8 guys drafted all pre season- which was pretty laughable when you consider they had Quin and Barron gone for sure.
for him to have 12 guys shows you just how stacked it’s going to be.
also- my guess is we have 2 more drafted guys coming in this round of the portal still that haven’t yet been identified.
