  1. Had a breakthrough with my MAGA Sooner golfing buddy today. We've been avoiding political talk lately, as he gets so riled up that he starts wrapping his clubs around the golf cart after an errant shot, but we dabbled in Trump conversation today on the phone. The shitty economy, younger generations getting screwed over, the ballroom being built next to the White House, the handful of billionaires controlling everything. "Fuck'em all, I'm tired of this shit." Pleasantly surprised. He literally has 2 MAGA hats displayed in the back of his car.
  2. Coffeezilla breaks down the blatant corruption with the pardon for Binance founder. So easy to connect the dots but nothing matters. We're cooked.
  3. Can we change/tighten up the thread title? TIA.
  4. Get this dumbass off of ESPN
  5. This MSU commentator/reporter thinks Texas wins 31-13, which kind of surprised me. Says that the MSU DL is their weak link defensively so Texas OL issues won't be exposed as much. Personally, I don't feel great about this game at all. Think we will need an effort similar to OU game to win. Anything less and we're in trouble IMO.
  6. I don't disagree with any of this. I think Sark made a devastating miscalculation offensively this offseason. After two semifinal appearances, tons of NFL draft picks, and # 1 recruiting class, it feels like Sark probably thought he had this program on cruise control. That he could replace 4 OL in-house and his offense would blossom with Arch at the helm. That the RB room was deep. That the NFL draft success confirmed their belief in their excellent evaluation & development process. That was obviously a huge whiff. All the little red flags have blown up. I'm sure he understands that at this point, and we can only put on band-aids to fix things right now. What's done is done, this season is most likely a throw away. It fucking sucks. I hate it. Since he has shown to been an excellent CEO & program leader, let's hope he makes the proper adjustments this offseason on his terms. That's all I'm saying. Whether that's staff changes, heavy portal pick-ups, change in personal responsibilities on game day, etc. If it's forced on him by CDC or other outside forces, I just can't imagine a happy ending.
  7. Ryan Day was on the verge of getting fired last year after the Michigan loss. He stepped in, they had a great playoff run, and look like they have things figured out now. But that one example can't do all the heavy lifting. There are different variables and it's impossible to replicate. OC duties were snatched from Jimbo and he was fired not long after. If Sark wants to give up play calling, great. If it's forced on him at all, we're probably doomed.
  8. https://futurism.com/artificial-intelligence/sam-altman-real-work-ai Very cool we're letting this antisocial dipshit shape the entire future of humankind.
  9. Sure, but OL is the main issue. Nothing is gonna flourish without getting that fixed.
  10. There's no question that Sark has totally blown it with this offense while being elite as a CEO. But I think the minute he gives up his OC duties, it's the beginning of the end. It's his total identity as an actual football coach. Replace staff, make whatever recruiting evaluation changes that are necessary, reconsider offensive philosophy, etc. But you might as well just fire him if you want to take away his offensive responsibilities. IMO his heart won't be in it to run this team strictly as a CEO.
  11. Oof, some on the left are really whiffing on this Platner stuff. Who gives a shit about the Twitter account, it's someone doing oppo on him and they created an account. What matters is if it's true, and the info looks to be corroborated.
  12. Cuomo is a legitimate villain, Dems have to completely reject and remove people like this from the party.
  13. This would be the leading national news story every time a boat gets hit in a normal world. Still can't get over how the Trump administration was able to flood the zone with so many criminal actions that none of them matter anymore.
  14. I don't personally know Matthew, but we have so many friends in common that somehow we started following each other on Instagram a few years ago. Some of my friend's kids were very close with his daughter Chloe. His tributes to her on IG are incredible. Shares a ton of family photos and they are all soundtracked by Radiohead songs. It's so heartbreaking, but also beautiful. I'm sure there are people on this board that know him from UT or after. I hope to actually meet and hang with him someday. Inspired by his actions and deep, deep love for his family.
  15. Who said there aren't any feel good stories anymore?
  16. That Tony Hills segment is fantastic. And cathartic.
  17. I appreciate and agree with the grace you are showing here. The dude needs to stay in the race and let the chips fall where they may. But this also needs to be a lesson for the left. That grace needs to be extended to other Dem candidates that don't fit into their tight window of beliefs. People make mistakes. It is a good think to adapt and change opinions as you get older and wiser. Very few people are on the "right" side of things their entire life. Stop making that a prerequisite.
