  1. AI assistance in the creative process is a line in the sand for me. I know in the end it will be almost unprovable, but I wouldn't be surprised to see some strict "no AI" movement to grow out of this groundbreaking technological change. Some sort of pact from artist to listener. Being great live performers was already a personal prerequisite for really getting into an artist/band, so I guess that helps.
  2. The year that music died. Sweet. At least we have the billions of songs pre-2025 to fall back on.
  3. That's great, but I'm not that worried about musicians/gear heads rejecting AI. It's the regular people that fall for this shit. The non-musical people in our lives need to hear the full throated rejection of AI from people they "look up to' when it comes to music. I've already had one friend talk up these AI covers and I quickly cut him off. I was kind of a dick about it, but it needed to happen. Tough love, baby.
  4. I'm gonna fucking lose it. I've been in a cover band for over 15 years. We play 2 hour sets. We have fun trying to put a different spin on classic country, rock, and indie songs. I can sing and play rhythm guitar. Big fucking deal. I don't even feel comfortable when my friends call me a musician. The original artist is everything. The human(s) that create are the only reason a song matters. I'm starting to see a lot of people hype up these AI covers. We have to be vocal about rejecting this shit.
  5. JD Vance strategically marrying an Indian girl a decade ago and now next in line for the KKK party while getting fondled by a Christian Nationalist widow in fuck me leather pants.
  6. 4D chess by Usha here. She's gonna cash in with that divorce compensation package, even though it's just couch money for Peter Thiel.
  7. Yep, JD isn’t running for President with a brown wife and kids by his side. Hopefully Usha loads up and cashes in on the eventual Polymarket divorce odds.
  8. it's perfectly understandable to not give a full throated denial to a report you believe is completely bogus. The accuser gets a win in that situation.
  9. I don't agree. If you believe someone is lying about you, you don't validate the lie by giving that type of response.
  10. This is a bunch of bullshit. Look, I'm not trying to be some homer Texas fan and Sark defender here. She basically admitted her reporting was a nothing burger. She tweeted out this Sark rumor the morning of a game day, it went very viral, and now she's just shrugging all of it off. Relationships are a huge part of her business, but I guess she felt engagement baiting was worth it even if it pissed off Sark and Jimmy Sexton. If she considers that "doing her job", then she's a pretty shitty reporter.
  11. I had to watch that clip again. So Russini is basically saying Sark and his agency had every right to be upset at her reporting and the timing of it, and that "unfortunately they never added that Steve Sarkisian wants to stay at Texas, right?" Then she confirmed her source was neither Sark or Sexton. It's like she's admitting to stirring the pot. Really weird.
  12. Her response is completely incoherent.
  13. Mamdani is awesome.
  14. Interesting watch, thanks for sharing. The discussion about how right-wing coded influencers provide "clarity" and actionable solutions for young men instead of "don't do this" or "don't do that" from the more leftist view is a salient point. How thoughts and advice are framed is really important. "Always be kind" is better than "don't be a dick".
  15. When I was 17 and visiting London my cousin's boyfriend took me out and said he'd "stuff my mouth full of fags". Okay. Ended up smoking a lot of cigarettes that night, luckily.
  16. I hate that I laugh every time you use "Arch Knoblauch". Goddamnit.
  17. Seriously. People hand waved at some of us bitching that you never saw a coach w/ Arch or Quinn on the sidelines, and then this week we see Bimonte all over the TV broadcast!
  18. Fascinating that they didn't consider doing this a long time ago.
  19. They rarely played prevent and continued to pressure/blitz him in the the 4th quarter.
  20. Does Sark still have buy-in and good relationships with players, CDC, and donors? That's all that should really matter. If the answer is yes, no way we should fire him. But if he wants to take another job, let him walk.
  21. That's an example. I know it's not easy. A school like Indiana hit a home run with Cignetti, totally understandable for them to go all-in since IU has had no real success in football. Also he's older and they set it up for him to retire there. That was a smart move.
