  1. The question was why did the emergency alerts only start at 7am. We get alerts from other agencies so what happened? Answer: “Well it’s obviously the NWS fault that their budget was cut so that no overnight staff were available to send out the alerts. If they managed themselves better over the years then they would have the resources needed to save more lives.”
  2. Yes, but it also sounded like they don’t know yet if the recovered bodies are some of the missing. So those missing could be adjusted once ID is made of recovered bodies.
  3. This dude wearing two of the same belts?
  4. “All we can do is pray. So we’ve done that. So I feel like we’ve done everything we can. Mission Accomplished.” -Hot Wheels
  5. “Nothing like this has ever happened. Nobody has seen this.” -Judge “Wtf did he just say?” -errrbody on the Blanco “Thank god for big gubermen.” -Mayor “Thank you for picking up the phone when I call.”-Emergency Czar of Tejas
  6. Local CBS just showed Noem sitting in the lead position with governor and senator cornyn to her left. Emergency director on her right.
  7. I have used the emergency satellite texts a few times now on ATT when I was out of tower service range. Makes me feel better about those solo trips to wilderness areas.
  8. Bettie live from Jonestown on CBS: “Just devastating up here. Four houses on this street lost their boat docks. One also lost their motorcycle. Just tragic all around. Back to the studio.”
  9. FUMC Wimberley Youth Director and 6 girls from Wimberley are safe and accounted for, but unable to get out of camp mystic at this time. Waiting to be evacuated.
  10. Rained a little bit today in Texline. Sunset pic was about 9:15 Texline time. Of course about 100 yards from that pic it was 8:15.
  11. IYKYK RIP Hal they finally did it. They finally fucking did it.
  12. It upset him so much to change it he stuttered through the call.
  13. Was at Scholz when it went down. Saw some limbs blow by. The back patio had a lot of smalls come down. Nothing big. Part of the awning by the tiny truck blew off but just bent over like Austin during a May storm. Walked back through campus. It was a damn mess. The Mulca hall construction site was a mess. The crew was already on site with fork lifts picking it up. Battle oaks are fine. Didn’t even see smalls down over there. Two very large limbs were lost on the west mall. One nearly took out the bus stop across from UFCU. One is laying across the stairs down to the old post office. Trash cans and lids and saw horses everywhere. Trees under the pedestrian bridge by PMA were in Dean keeton. UT facilities were already cutting it up. The big oak next to Texas Global fell across 24th and took out the street lights. 24th completely blocked. The military flags at northwest corner of DKR took a lot of damage. Half are gone. Highway signs over 35N at MLK exit were hanging down and traffic was diverted off highway.
  14. Is that a lot (of water)? It looks like a lot.
