  1. Slorch, the aftermarket on those near game day are certainly going below face. Bank on it.
  2. Don’t get to ogle over coeds on TV. So, I’m going to the games. #creepyolddude
  3. The Fells point suggestion is solid. Great hip and trendy spot for nightlife.
  4. Also with the trip to LP Steamers for some ridiculously big steamed blues.
  5. Phillips is shit. For a crab cake, look no further than Faidleys at Lexington market. Dad grew up as an assistant fish monger there.
  6. Im anxiously awaiting the your age b-a-g promotion at the local armory.
  7. I quite enjoyed The Old Gold in Overlook
  8. And for what it’s worth, my military issue PVS14 is a gen 3 NV monocular and I can see like its daylight (green daylight) in the shittiest light conditions. Very very clearly.
  9. Perfectly sound question. Traditional NV uses photocathodes and phosphor to amplify very very low ambient light to make it visible. The phosphors give it the iconic “green image” you see through the scope (like every military movie). It can be “amplified” with an infrared illuminator (invisible flashlight). You pair this with an infrared laser which is obviously only visible to the wearer of NV. All infrared is is low low invisible levels of light but not invisible to a highly sensitive NV setup. ATN uses thermal a lot I know. Very different. No idea what tech they use for their night vision lineup. Probably something like above but digital in nature (like a modern camera)?
  10. Here’s my setup btw.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. So we are all in agreement. Good. Good. It’s all coming together now. My master plan is nearly complete.
  12. Pro tip: you don’t really need food saver vacuum sealing for 90% of sous vide cooking. A simple ziploc and the water seal method is more than ample (and cheaper). Vacuum sealing is really best for prepping to freeze (then taking out and putting straight into bath when ready to cook).
  13. Just got the call from the dealer that my new Ram 1500 is in and getting sale prepped off the truck. Can’t wait. Will take pics soon as I can pick it up.
  14. I have both (actually employ a thermal scope scope for locating and the NV/IR for shooting). I use a DBAL mil-spec laser and helmet mounted mil-spec PVS14 NV monocular. With a properly sighted laser and sufficient practice, it can be quite efficient. Still not something I’d recommend for longer distance targeting. Even the entry level thermal scopes are not ideal beyond say 50 yards. Successful night hunting is about stalking (pigs) or setting up downwind with a predator call and baiting them in close.
  15. Made bacon, sausage eggs and hashed browns for breakfast. Can’t believe I didn’t own a blackstone before this! How did I not know this level of awesome was achievable?
  16. Just took her on her maiden voyage. Cheesesteaks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  22. I can assure you that the Oklahoma wines....suck
  23. Hahaha. Just putting out the considerations for each. I’ve owned all three types and currently run the roll up bak. It’s the least intrusive and most flexible.
