  1. I'm guessing Casey is better on-script than off. He usually does well in the beginning scripted plays, and not so good when he has to make a decision. We'll see how it goes in the 2nd half.
  2. You mean wives who claim to be too tired to have sex but then stay up another hour watching something on their phone?
  3. Any homeless men of that general build missing from any surrounding counties? Or might want to check Brian's Grindr account.
  4. You could see the reaction on Sark's face after Casey didn't get the 4th down: "That's not what you were supposed to do." We just have dumb low-talent players. I've had coaching experience where I can specifically tell a player, "If he does A then you do B." The player says OK, goes out, the other guy does A and my player does C and loses. His excuse? "I thought I could make it." Me: "I don't give a shit what you thought. If you do B then even if it doesn't work we don't lose. But the odds are it'll work." They nod and say they'll do better next time and next time they fuck it up again. Sometimes you have no choice because the backup is just as stupid and less talented. Eventually you just have to cut your losses and move on.
  5. Might as well go back to Card for the rest of the season. Get him experience for next year.
  6. I see this is the usual "ref overcompensatiom" after the lack of penalties vs ou as the league 'proves' the refs don't ignore penalties by calling tons of penalties in the next game.
  7. I remember those. Didn't they come in a package that looked like a B2 or something?
  8. His biggest fuck-up - besides killing her and running after he got back - was bringing her van back with him. Hypothericaly - he should have sent a text to her parents via her phone saying that they got in an argument and "he left, saying he was going home". Then a text to his parents via his phone saying they broke up and he left and he's trying to get home because "she ditched" him and "left (him) stranded". Ask for money to get home or start hitchhiking. Leave her body somewhere remote (not buried) or down a dropoff and hope animals get to her before she's found or after enough time that DNA or other evidence can't prove you did it. Park the van at a trailhead and leave it there. When you get home, be all surprised that nobody has heard from her. Have some story about how you argued because she was flirting with some guys at a nearby campsite. Give them a vehicle description (no plates) that you saw once when you were there (grey Ford Explorer or something) so it'll appear on gate cameras. Then just hope. Your parents respond to her parents talking about the breakup and "no, we haven't heard from her. She's not answering our texts or calls either". Talk to the cops. Avoid arousing much suspicion. Might get away with it. Hypothetically, of course.
  9. I'm torn on my thoughts about this. I probably don't have the popular opinion here, but I wonder if this should be the proper action. Yes, he said racist and homophobic things. Yes, he should lose his job over it. Yes, he's proven to be a piece of shit. But - was he in the Ring of Honor because of his personal morals and ethics? Or because of the job he did as a coach that won a Super Bowl? If similar emails came out tomorrow from Troy Aikman that he sent after he retired would we remove him from the Cowboys Ring of Honor or the Hall of Fame? What about Jimmy Johnson? Denigrate him for his personal comments and ostracize him from future public view, but it doesn't erase his past accomplishments or the rewards given for those accomplishments. If they really feel that bad they should vacate their Super Bowl win and give the trophy back. I understand that TB doesn't want to see his name in their stadium right now. I just don't know whether I like this move.
  10. Only supposed to be 6 episodes I heard.
  11. So - 10 years ago (when Obama was President) whomever received those racist emails didn't think there was anything wrong with it - and that's okay? But all of a sudden 10 years later it's a big deal what Gruden said but not the non-reaction of who he said it to? That should be just as important. If you send a bunch of bigoted emails to a company, and then later that company hires you (or allows you to be hired to a position related to business with that company), I don't see how they can claim 10 years later that you should be fired for your behavior without admitting some culpability.
  12. I don't have a problem with him being disciplined or fired over his comments. What I have a problem with is that it took 10 years to do something about it. Whomever at the NFL saw these emails and didn't think any discipline needed to happen and allowed him to be associated with the NFL thru MNF and then as a coach - well they should burn too.
  13. Tulane got fucked by the refs worse than we did.
  14. Sometimes you can't mold a pile of shit into anything more than a different pile of shit.
