  1. How fucked up does something have to be for a poster who named himself after Edgar Allan Poe to be distrubed?
  2. The only way Odorizzi would be ALCS MVP is if the Red Sox win..and that shit ain't happening.
  3. I’ll take this one on behalf of Houston….hey, LaRussa!
  4. I'd be worried about HBPs in the on deck circle in this scenario.
  5. Managed to get field boxes for Game 1. Many thanks!
  6. It certainly felt like we were playing the Patriots in the second half...
  7. What would you call it if an option QB threw a pitch over the RB's head? A fumble. Same thing here. Stoops didn't fumble in that scenario, but the QB did for box score purposes. A lateral is just fumble in that situation.
  8. The difference in strikeouts is directly tied to the zone. They still only had 5 more swings and misses in Game 3 than Game 1 alone...but that doesn't fit the writer's agenda to stir up shit for clicks.
  9. And to be clear, I don't give a flying fuck about you talking shit on a thread in which you only participate because you're butt hurt. That shit's fair game. I do, however, give a shit when you grossly mischaracterize what I actually fucking said. That's why I blew up at that shit.
  10. What the actual fuck are you talking about? The data quite literally is in our favor on this one. Understanding what the metric actually is doesn't mean you're discounting the fucking data. Acknowledging that according to the way those probabilties actually worked out accounted for...5 White Sox runs after the Grandal home run that was quite clearly a K and would've been three outs prior to any runs coming across in the bottom of the 3rd, and the K on Maldonado that would've loaded the bases and scored another run on what would've been a Brantley sac fly in the top of the 2nd, and another Maldonado K that would've been a walk and a run on a Bregman single in the top of the 4th. There's a 7 run actual swing in the game on 3 fucking blown pitches you fucking twat. The actual result isn't reflected in that scorecard number, just the fucking probablities.
  11. It's because the calculation just accounts for the expected change in outcome rather than what actually happened given an incorrect call. The Sox took advantage of those opportunities and gained significantly more than the expected 1 run advantage.
  12. The only one of these I've seen over a run all season...also, Ron Kulpa (ranked #92 of 99 for performance this season) is calling tonight's Tampa/Boston game. Guessing he got that assignment the same way Tom Hallion (#87 of 99) got last night's playoff gig - good MLB company man. Do with that information what you will, degenerate gamblers.
  13. I’d like Maldonado to “get crossed up” on a fastball on the first pitch of the next inning…assuming we bring in someone that throws harder than Greinke.
