  1. The decline of Beck and Ewers, while their teams remain in the NC picture is something I am not sure I have ever seen before. If you told me Georgia and Texas would be ranked top 5/6 in November, I would have bet a lot of money both would be in Heisman conversation and top 10 picks
  2. Funny thing is I believe Quinn was listed as a dual threat as a recruit. He rushed for 568 yards his Sophomore year at Southlake. He can hurt teams with his legs. We have seen in it games like Washington last year. His legs kept Texas in the game in the first half. I think the injury history has taken that part of his game.
  3. I think Miami is a pretender. I just don’t see them making noise with that defense
  4. I agree. This all started, because I said Texas can’t do the same things that SCar did. Not that Texas can’t move the ball on SCar, but they need to do it differently. Your point of A&M’s DL being undisciplined is true. Scar feasted on that with a big mobile QB and a high end RB. Texas has neither of those. Sark may have to use some draw plays (not sure I have seen 1 this year) and screens to punish A&Ms tendency to race upfield. Texas’s pass game is much more developed than SCar’s. They will need to exploit that advantage.
  5. Overall, I agree. You are under appreciating Scar’s athletes. Sellers is a big athletic QB. Sanders is a much better RB. Nyck Harbor is an absolute freak show at receiver/Te. He is NFL freaky. Their edges are NFL athletes also..
  6. I am not ignoring those. Texas isn’t running OZ particularly well. Texas hasn’t run the ball well this year. It’s a different dynamic, when a defense has to worry about QB run.
  7. Yes, Texas is much more capable of carving up the A&M defense. They are going to protect much better than the Cocks did though.
  8. Lot of those off Sellers scrambling. He had A&M’s head spinning. Hard for LBs to cover and keep an eye on the QB. Missed tackles were a huge problem for A&M. Unless they play at a level we have not seen before that won’t be an issue vs Ewers and the Texas RBs
  9. Not saying Texas can’t beat A&M. I am saying that Texas can’t duplicate a lot of what the Cocks did to the A&M defense. Texas is going to have to attack A&M in different ways.
  10. Loved the outcome of this game, but I don’t think Texas can duplicate much of what SoCar did on offense. Their best play was just letting Sellers run around the pocket. How many times did he shake an untouched blitzer from A&m? QB run killed them. They ran well with Sanders, but Texas doesn’t have a RB like that (now that Sanders is healthy).
  11. I was noticing that today. This is a pretty poor QB year. Gabriel maybe the best QB of the NC contenders. Hard to trust guys like Beck, Howard, Allar, Nico, and Quinn. Going to make it a crazy playoff.
  12. Looking around at some of the top teams. Not sure I have seen so many NC contenders with QB’s you just don’t trust
  13. That would be nice. Schedule working in Texas’s favor there. Getting them right after their biggest rivalry game
  14. We are back to this spin again? Wide open Bolden on the slant and he doesn’t pull the trigger. PFF gave him the sack on that play. Heard Babers and Scip say the same thing, but you are going to do your thing. Teams are blitzing for multiple reasons. Some is because of a Freshman WR, some OL, and Quinn is not handling it well. Only issue is you can not ever admit Quinn made a mistake. Like I said your spin has been the same for 2 years, despite an obvious drop in the quality of his play. I hope he turns it around, but I am not going to bury my head in the sand.
  15. Look last year argued next to you against Derka. Last year Quinn finished around the #20 QB in the nation according to PFF. At the time I thought Derka was bat shit crazy. This season I find myself arguing with Derka and against you. The difference is PFF doesn’t have Quinn among the top 200 performers at QB (at least prior to Vandy). Things have changed. I made the MSNBC/ FOX joke a few pages ago. Like politics it seems people have made up their minds and on-field performance is not going to change them. There really isn’t much to else to say on the subject.
  16. Just talking about general turnovers. yes, the CB blitz is on the Qb. 1st Vandy in wasnt on a the Qb, second was. Again it’s ints in 5 of 6 games.Feel free to try and minimize the issue. I am not mentioning the lucky dropped ints. Quinn came into this year the career leader in ints/attempt at Texas. Never thrown more than 6 ints in a season. He is already there and hasn’t even played 6 full games. PFF gave him 6 turnover worthy plays in the Georgia game alone. Like I said I sure Sark and even Quinn would agree the turnovers need to stop
  17. I think the proper term is deeper. There is difference between the lowest ADOT in the P4 and say someone like Arch. Arch had an ADOT of 11.0 vs MSU and 23.3 vs UTSA (absolutely insane), not sure his overall ADOT
  18. You made me check 2024- 6.9 per game and 56.8 yards 2023- 6.6 and 52.2 yards not a big difference, especially since the SEC calls holding penalties.
  19. Its not starting a fight. It is pretty obvious issue. Look at the way Texas has started the last 3 games 1st possession Int vs Vandy. Vandy takes over at the Texas 31, they score a TD. Vs a team you want to get them out of their ball control offense and its 7-0 0-0 vs Georgia. 3 possession fumble on the Texas 13. 7-0 Georgia 1 possession Int vs OU.. Ou starts at the Texas 45. They dont score, but eventually get the fg as field position game is slanted to OU. Texas has trailed in every 1Q the last 3 games. 2 were the direct result of turnovers. 3rd one was indirect. Texas is making winning hard.
  20. You are. I say Quinn has to stop throwing Ints and you go straight to Georgia and OL. He was plenty of Ints that weren’t due to pressure. Georgia pick being a great example of one of them. I know you and B.O.W have dug yourselves in, but it is the truth. I’d bet Sark and Quinn agree. There is no need to point the fingers and try to obfuscate the truth. Quinn needs to be more careful with the football
  21. I believe that is in QBR..I think PFF just grade every play equally
  22. Thrown an int 5 of 6 starts. That is just factual. It needs to improve. Not sure what the need is to spin everything.
  23. It is very common now. Most teams show 2 high safety pre-snap. Either stay the same or roll into 1 high If there is something to worry about in Qunn's game this year it is turnovers, which he had been very good at historically 2022- 1 pick per 49.3 attempts 2023- 1 pick per 65.7 attempts 2024- 1 per 31.33 attempts. You can add 2 lost fumbles. 8 turnovers in 6 starts.
  24. Ill leave that up to you. The one thing that does separate Michigan from the other games. it the only game Quinn played without a turnover. Its the only game this year Texas didnt turn the ball over.
  25. Sark went after the NB on Vandy. He is "big" NB and Moore was an obvious mismatch. That was the focus of the gameplan. Explains why the outside WRs had quiet days.
