It is not viable to have 4 hour football games in 100 degree heat. We’re talking about 4 games, they already have 2-3 domed games anyway LSU wants to play in Houston. Arkansas wants to play in Arlington. Teams want to play in Atlanta. And yes, at one point in the 20th century, the NFL adjusted scheduling for Arizona Cardinals when they first moved there.
On Iron Claw, they mashed up a lot of things to fit into a movie. A flawed masterpiece but the only casting they missed was Ric Flair. That was the climax of the movie and the actor whiffed. For Reacher, the movie which was made possible by Cruise, it doesnt make sense from the screenplay and direction to have a huge intimidating guy with a complex backstory. The movie worked because he was a mystery and he was underestimated. The mystery unraveled as Reachers specific interaction with the suspected shooter was revealed. Fans of the source material hated it, and they may be right, a better movie could have been made, but the movie was crafted with Cruise in mind. Not a casting miss for the movie.
Every tailgate I see is near shade or have pop-tent. The official ones all have cover. In planning outdoor events in Austin professionally for years, it is a factor for normals. Texas has immense pull as a Top 3 brand. There is precedent to adjusting kickoff times for special events or weather, anticipating issues. We signed contracts. UT is responsible for this. Just that the luxury suite crowd doesnt give enough fucks. From a business perspective, the SEC and its tv partners should look at SEC day games as an opportunity. There should be no 230 kicks in September at outdoor venues in the Deeo South. Reserve those games for neutral site indoor or road venues. Make it a thing. Given hotter Septembers, it’s a legit safety hazard similar to when NFL adjusted kickoffs for the Cardinals when they played at Sun Devil stadium.
It has not been like for 50 years. My guess is that we had more leverage with past Big 12 contracts and LHN in noncon kickoff times. Direct sunlight for 4 hours is very different experience than a sunset or night game. Setting your tailgate without shade or cover is a bold decision.
Per McNulty, floaters are hard to solve. Easier to say it’s an accident. Look at the BAC and drugs in their system. Must’ve hit their head after being drunk.
We’ll never know. Knicks were decimated with injuries last year. Having your two stars be liabilities on the defensive end is a problem. That they’re so good at scoring makes it difficult to fix.
Just a reminder when you bash COA for not solving our homeless crises, that the State of Texas ships them here. They release them from state hospitals. Surrounding counties also bus them here (or ex-cons and aged out foster kids). https://www.threads.com/@ginahinojosaatx/post/DKLXxRGNqB7?xmt=AQF0qGnJgYI3wvCz5X6C8C0TXi5Qj0OauWztx8dk9Cfc0A When you point fingers, point them to state and federal authorities for decimating our safety net infrastructure on regional and state problems. The city is left with choosing from the best bad solutions to mitigate longterm homelessness.
So the character who’s been Scappy Dooing S2 is going to elevate the show? Like late stage GOT, we get characters describing other characters as brilliant or fierce, and when you see them in action you see none of those things.
Think Bella Ramsey’s ability as an actor or looks are the least of the issues. She is fed lines that make her character unlikeable and unwatchable. She could be the female Daniel Day-Lewis and it wouldnt save this garbage.
Your schtick is tiresome. Someone with Pflugerville in their name has a lot of nerve bashing Austin. Pville is the shittiest of the burbs and its not close. And Brushy Creek in Cedar Park beats Old Setters any day. Old Settlers is a distant third at best.
