Alright, I’m at my cost basis. Do I sell this thing and walk away or should I continue holding? It’s been like 3 damn years I’ve been waiting for this sucker to pop.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen

Man, if true... his class is going to have some high end talent. #1 QB - Bell Top 3 RB- Cooper #1 LB- Atkinson 5 star edge- Wesley Elite LT- Turntine. Gerry has called him the best OL in Texas in both the 2025 and 2026 class and has said he has been the #1 OL on the Texas board. #1 DT- James Johnson Elite athlete/5 star caliber- Jermaine Bishop Assuming we land the guys above, this class may not have the top to bottom depth like the 2025 class, not saying it isn't.... but.... the top end talent may be better. That doesn't even include Benjamin, who most have pegged to Oregon. -

We offered Cooper early in the year and he did an unofficial visit. We tried to get him into one of the big official visit weekends but he had long standing relationships with other schools so he OV’d there instead while we pursued Crowell hard. Crowell was always top on the board. When choice was here, he was leaning hard towards Texas. I think he had taken 4 visits to Texas. Once Choice left, he got upset and eliminated Texas the next day. Sark still recruited him however. KJ was always the 2nd back in the class. Crowell and Cooper are more like Baxter, big physical backs that can inside with very good speed for their size. Edwards is built more like Jayden Blue. Once Crowell picked Bama, we moved from 1A to 1B. If we prioritized Edwards as the feature back and offered him the same NIL package Crowell and Cooper are getting, he’s probably in this class. Osborne is also a smaller back and we stopped recruiting him when Chad Scott got hired. Cooper is borderline 5 star back and would be one of the highest rated running backs outside of Baxter and Bijan to commit to Texas, assuming it all plays out in our favor. I believe he was committed to Georgia at one point in time. -

I never really understood the 180 with Osborne considering how much he liked us but it’s obvious we parted ways with him and really focused on the top two targets on the board, Crowell and Cooper. I also always got the sense that Edwards was going to be the 2nd back in the class and I feel that he probably felt that way too. He’s listed 5’9-5’10 and 190 lbs so he’s probably a little smaller than that in reality. I think Sark was recruiting him for a Jayden Blue type role and perhaps he wanted to be a feature back. I imagine they went down their list. Once Crowell went to Bama, Bobby and Gerry mentioned Texas had a higher NIL package for him, then Texas went to Cooper. I get the sense the same happened with Griffin. Atkinson is 1 on the board. If he doesn’t pick Texas, they will go down the list. -
I’m 11-3 on rookie tier on road to CFP and made it to the national championship. Bringing the trophy home tonight. Then time to dominate the next tier.
-
I've only really played on road to CFP and not against the cpu yet on dynasty mode but good to hear. I will say, I've been wrecking people with the HB toss play in the full house formation.
-
Yeah, I definitely find it harder to go deep with Moore and Wingo. I feel like Wingo needs to be faster in the game
-
I’d be down. Ready to wreck you fools!

Dude there are three 5 stars in the class and it is June. We got the #1 QB, #1 tackle, and an elite edge rusher on our board. This class is going to be just fine, it’s barely July. Let’s see the language in these contracts for these offers come August. Let’s also see if Goosby, Moore, etc go pro a year early. If they do, that will open up funds and we can flip guys. Texas is trying to keep powder dry to keep their roster in place because we will make a legit national title run in Arch’s final year. Hell, we’re going to make one this year and teams are going to do their best to poach from our roster. Gerry and Bobby have said that every position on this team has a back up that will be a NFL player. Texas wants to retain them instead of over pay for high school guys considering there is a cap, which may not even exist after law suits. Chill… -

He was being talked nationally and was in a lot of mocks in the 1st round. He put out lots of good things and also bad things on tape which isn’t surprising for a first year starter. He fell bc of his lack of experience and bc he couldn’t test due to his injuries. He still went in the 5th round. Had he come back, worked on his weaknesses and had another year of tape, he very likely would have been a top 2 round pick. -

He’s a tackle. Gerry is adamant about it. He has seen Turntine numerous times for years and is a much better evaluator than the guys running the recruiting services. He’s said he has tackle wing span and may be the most athletic lineman in the last two OL classes. He’s also ranked in the top 10 in his high school class academically and has tremendous work ethic. He’s said multiple times that Turntine has been at the top of the Texas board for years. Flood has been recruiting him for 3 or so years as a tackle. He will probably be the most ready tackle prospect from a technique and feet standpoint since Banks. He simply has to put on about 30 pounds. That is probably the only thing holding him back. Gerry said he is already squatting a ridiculous amount at his current weight. -

Excuse, do you know what Simmons commands in NIL? Lance Jackson? Justus Terry? Those are just the 5 stars we have that are future NFL players and likely 1st round player at that. That doesn't even include guys like Vasek and Zina that would very likely both start at LSU this year. So yeah, LSU doesn't have elite edge guys like us to pay so they can blow a stupid amount on Henderson just so they can have one elite edge player when Texas has at least 3 on campus that they will need to re-up at the end of this season. -
They lost both their coordinators, very good ones at that. Are they going to be able to protect Sayin long enough for him to make his read with our pass rush? How's their O-line going to hold up against our front 7. I think we beat them like we beat Bama 2 years ago. A close game in the first half, but we pull away in the 3rd and 4th.
-
That list is fucking stupid. Only 3 backs on that list are from the SEC and I think Wisner is the only returning RB of the 3. Let's not downplay what Wisner did in a season where he was not the clear starting and not getting a full workload till halfway through the year in the SEC compared to what some JAG did at likes of Utah State or FAU or some low level school. How many of those back would have the rushing performances against ou's d-line and a&m's d-line? Wisner isn't going to blow up the combine but give the guy his respect. I expect him to rush for another 1000 yards this season. Baxter isn't even fully completed with his rehab. He's going to slowly get worked in with 3-5 touches or so when SEC play starts if that. Who knows if he even has the same explosivity. He's a big back, so if he loses even a little speed, it will show on the field.
-
Arch's release is so damn quick compared to the other QBs and the power and zip on his throws is noticeable. Basically... I'm saying Heisman.

I’m curious about Turntine and Ojo. Gerry has more than once made a comment along the lines of “Let’s see if they will both go to the same school”. -
Wait, I thought this was about Hamas? Israel would never use force and killing to push people out of their homes to take their land. I mean just ask these IDF soldiers why they are at war. Also, any thoughts on Israel paying private contractors $1500 for each home they demolish and clear which is happening right now. I wonder what their plans are to do with that land? I’m sure it’s to give it back the civilians that lived there right?
-
Those two kids carrying food in an open field definitely deserved to have a bomb dropped on them. This is deliberate make no mistake about it.
-
100% agree. It’s not like you have to pick one extreme side. There is a very reasonable option where Israel can go into Gaza and attack sites where Hamas is hiding. Hell they can even send some of those precise missiles they used to target Iran leaders thousands of miles away. Their intelligence is so spot on, they killed leaders in Iran that were hiding without much of any civilian casualties. But they can’t seem to find Hamas right next to them and have to flatten an entire population? I’m sure the Palestinian people would like nothing more to get rid of the terrorist organization that has cost them their lives and homes. The Palestinian Authority opposed the Qatar funding of Hamas that Netanyahu so very much encouraged and allowed. Stopping this war would require Netanyahu to actually want to get rid of Hamas. If Hamas were to be defeated, then who else could he fund to create conflict to give him an excuse to perform the ethnic cleansing the extreme orthodox Zionist party has been talking and parroting long before October 7th. https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2023/12/11/middleeast/qatar-hamas-funds-israel-backing-intl

Outside of Chase Calicut, we were not the leaders for any of these recent guys at any point in time. Maybe Crowell while Choice was here. Still it’s good we are throwing our hat in the ring. That’s how you end up with guys like Richard Presley. Also, let the schools bid against themselves for prospects in June. Let’s see how financially exhausted they are when Sark and Texas put forth their big offers in the fall. We’re about to get Guervil, Okpala, Turntine, Ojo. Chill. -
Must have been Hamas in these schools sheltering women and children. Fuck this 5 year old right? They caused Oct 7th right?
-
Yeah….. I’d call the IDF soldiers posting videos on TikTok celebrating shooting by kids terrorism. Actually, it’s worse. It’s another level of sick on par with the Nazi’s and their horrible atrocities. Using aid as bait to shoot starving people is plain evil. That isn’t war and that isn’t defending yourself.
-
Why is it that American tax payer dollars should fund Israel? Do we fund Britain? Do we fund France? Do we fund any other country that has regional conflicts? Why is Israel’s issues in the Middle East our problem to fund? Perhaps if we stop funding them, then they would stop murdering civilians, feel empowered steal land, bomb Lebanon, bomb Syria, bomb Iran, bomb Palestine. Perhaps then they could use diplomacy. And if that doesn’t work, they can figure out themselves how to defend themselves just like every other country. Why are our tax payer dollars being used here? Not our responsibility.
-
I can appreciate you saying that honestly. While I can see why you would support and justify retaliation after October 7th, I’m curious to know if you feel that the current target of civilians, siege, starvation, and missiles into Gaza are justified? Keep in mind, October 7th was over 20 months ago. Do you think what is happening in Gaza right now is an appropriate response to the terrorist attack by Hamas? What number of dead civilians, mainly women and children, would encourage you to hold Israel accountable? I believe there were 900-1500 hostages during October 7th event. So far 50,000 dead Palestinian civilians since October 7th. How many more before you’d feel that Israel has gone too far? 60,000? 70,000? 100,000? What number would be too far you to say, I think this is wrong? And if you feel that it’s wrong, would you request your state senator and representative to stop approving bills that send US tax payer dollars that are directly helping fund this?
-
Please show proof of this. I’m sure all those buildings and homes of civilians were weapon stockpiles for Hamas here. Also, Israel has one of their military bases under a hospital. How do you feel about that? By your logic, it would be totally fine and appropriate for Iran to bomb this hospital killing civilian Israeli’s when they retaliated to the Israel strikes? Because this actually happened. Israel would never use their own civilians as a shield now would they?
