  1. My point is that on a shitty high school team with shitty players, his high school coaches thought there were better players on the team to play center and protect the QB. Both Shack and Majors played tackle in high school. You know more about football than me but we can both agree most high school teams will play their best OL at LT.
  2. His offers are from schools where his dad has a connection. I’m sorry, not shitting on a kid, but there’s a reason the big time schools didn’t offer him. He plays the easiest position at his high school on the o-line. If he was that good, he’d be starting at center or tackle. I’ll eat crow if he ends up being a high draft pick. More than likely, he’s a maxed out high school player whose dad has good relationships with o line coaches in college. He’s not in burnt orange anymore so doesn’t really matter and the coaches didn’t seem to blink an eye or bothering calling him when he decommitted. That should tell you where he stands on their board.
  3. Lol, Mylinski doesn’t even start at tackle on his own high school team. Pretty sure his high school team didn’t win a single game. This was a fucking terrible lazy take and would have been a waste of a scholarship.
  4. He’ll end up at aggy while our legacy’s are the biggest bitches.
  5. I 100% agree. It’s exciting to see where this can go. I’ve followed college football my whole life and I’ve come to learn that most college coaches are idiots. Most of these guys would probably never get into a school like Texas. The reason I’m making this point is that these coaches sometimes make this job harder than it is. In today’s college football, you need to 100% do the following. Only a few programs can offer you the opportunity to do this and Texas is one of them. You do the following and you will compete for the CFP. Kirby Smart, who is an idiot, has proven this. 1. Hire a team of good coaches and recruiters. Sark has done this. 2. Don’t be a dick to your team and recruits. Sark seems to be very likeable. 3. Let the coaches you hire do their jobs without meddling. Herman struggled with this, Strong seemed oblivious to anything and everything on this end. Sark stated in his interview that the biggest thing he learned from Saban was to let the coaches do their jobs and not to try to do everything yourself. 4. The most important aspect. Recruit the biggest and fastest guys. You will win 90% of your games in college football by simply just having better athletes. Put your best players in space and give them the damn ball. Herman couldn’t do this. He stuck to his stupid system and played favorites. Strong didn’t have the players. That roster he inherited may have been the worst in the history of Texas football. Just do those things above Sark and you will be a legend here, I promise you.
  6. With regards to Milwee, I'm guessing he's basically Sarks 2nd set of eyes and ears. He's probably going to be the one in the press box relaying what he sees on the field to Sark. He was a record setting QB wasn't he? Also called plays and did very well right? From the sounds of it, he's probably extremely bright, understands Sark's system very well, and probably gets shit done. I think I read a report elsewhere that he's probably going to be the one running the meetings when Sark isn't there. Sark probably trusts him and it's probably why he was the first coach that was confirmed by the reporters when Sark took the job. If I were to guess... Sark will call the plays. Milwee will be in the press box relaying formations, personnel, tendencies. Flood will handle the blocking schemes.
  7. It's because he is looking for a reason to come to Texas despite us being a shit show this year under Herman while aggy is a top 5 team. I think Sark will close this deal if he's half the recruiter people tout him to be.
  8. I spent like 2 fucking hours with the reps as we are moving and I wanted to transfer my service. I also have u-verse and shitty internet at 30mbps. I switched to 300mbps from my current plan and they waived the equipment and installation fee. I could carry my current u-verse over but it would come out to like $150 with taxes with no hbo max. You are right, it is more expensive to switch from u-verse to att tv as a current customer. It's cheaper if you get rid of u-verse and sign up under a spouse's account. You can bundle the internet and att tv for anywhere between $105-$120 prior to taxes with the 300 mbps internet and the choice att option. The problem with this is it jumps up in price after a year and you will have to pay fees for the tv boxes they come with if you have multiple tvs. Here is the route I'm taking. Internet: I'm switching the internet under the current account as I have a promotion from previous years where they waive the router and equipment fee. That comes out to $45 for 300 mbps uncapped. TV: I'm going to sign up for either ATT now without the contract for $85. Includes HBO Max for a year and you can have up to 3 tvs streaming at the same time. It basically comes out to the same price as the ATT tv option in the bundles when you include the fees for the additional boxes at $10. Plus you're not under contract which I prefer. It's going to end up costing the same around $150 total with tax. I thought cutting the cord was supposed to be cheaper??? Fuck all of these companies. I hope amazon or another company comes out with an option that undercuts all of these assholes. Why can't we have an a la carte option? I really just want about 10 channels. Between ATT now, hulu, netflix... my monthly bill is like $200 a month.
  9. With how HAAAAARRD winning is, how did he find time to recruit be for the game?!
  10. Fuck it... drop bags at both their door steps and let get both LJ and Wheaton!
  11. Bama has more 5 stars in this one incoming class than we had had the last 5-6 years. I could be the ducking OC for Bama and call the same run play every down and I would win the fucking Broyles award. They are the closest thing to an NFL team in college. Their players are bigger, faster, stronger, more focused, and more motivated than any other team. On a different note, college football isn’t fun anymore when it’s the same fucking 2-3 teams in the playoffs every year with Bama or Clemson winning it. Not sure what the solution is, but it’s become stale and boring for anyone outside of those fan bases.
  12. I don't know much about Goulding but I do know that Bama fans are crazy if they think they will play the same type of defense as they did in the 2000s and early 2010s. The SEC is switching to the air-raid spread and is mimicking the Big 12. Naturally, it will be harder to play defense. In addition, Bama has done so as well and when you score more, you give the other team more possessions to score as well. Their next DC will still have similar issues. The old days of the SEC running the ball on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd down are gone... except for aggy and Jimbo's outdated offense.
  13. I think others had mentioned it but I remember reading previously that Burton wants to get out of Texas and really has no interest staying home for college. Plenty of elite WRs in Texas for 2022. Sark just needs to show these players they can be developed and utilized here. We can circle back to Burton later if we show a great offense and if Ewers joins the fold. That will be hard to pass up.
  14. Remember when we hired a fucking HS coach in Corby Meekins who had no business coaching a D1 program, much less a blue blood like Texas. Hey Strong and Herman... this is how you do it. Sark may fail here, but I'll never give him shit for his first coaching staff. These guys are best at their positions
  15. Because Bama AD isn't stupid and knows we will keep upping the salaries since we have more money than any athletic department. They don't feel like getting into a bidding war with Texas when they can replace every coach except Saban and still get the same results. Aggy likes to talk about being the richest program in the SEC. We dwarf them. The worst thing that could have happened to other schools was Urban telling us no. Because now we will offer that money raised to get whichever assistants we damn well want. Urban can afford to say no to a godly amount of money but these other coaches would be stupid to refuse being the highest paid at their positions. Fuck it... offer Pruitt and Lupoi. Make them both say no.
  16. I had posted this earlier. We will need to buy the best staff and we have the money to do it. Make every position the highest paid. We need to make Texas a destination job for assistants again.
  17. Strip clubs are about to have booming business in Austin. With Banks' new salary, he can have multiple stripper sugar babies.
  18. what the hell is the NCAA going to do?
  19. I will be extremely underwhelmed if Coleman is retained. Move him to an analyst role or let him take another WR job. No one is hiring him away from us for a reason. There are many good WR coaches in the country. There is a reason we aren’t getting any top WRs in state. He sucks.
  20. That would be a solid group. Gideon can be special teams coach and still help coach defense as well in a more general sense. Not sure what type of recruiter Goulding is. After seeing Orlando fuck up the LB room, we need someone that can evaluate and recruit there
  21. At this point, it’s pretty obvious it’s going to be Goulding. He’s close to Bo Davis. Davis is the guy that recommended him to Saban. He probably knows he’s on his way out at Bama. If Davis is the D-line coach, probably because Goulding is the DC. Is this what it’s looking like right now? DC- Goulding DL- Davis LB- Huztler or unknown at this point. DB: Joeseph/Gideon. If this is what we end up with, I’ll give it a B- and be over underwhelmed after CDC saying he’s excited about the staff. We need a heavy hitter recruiter like Lupoi or Raymond on defense.
  22. He was fired from the Falcons. He didn’t go on some bender and relapse. He went to Bama and by accounts was the best coordinator they have had there under Saban. I think we’re making too much of his battles. He was 33 and young when he made some poor choices. He’s 46, with a child, and seems to have a very good perspective about what he needs to do to get back to what his aspirations were. I also doubt our administration would hire him without vetting and investigating his history the last 5 years. By all account, the people that work with him, believe in him. There a reason the Bama coaches are possibly following him to Texas. They wouldn’t jeopardize their careers if he was showed those red flags. He’s also been at multiple big time programs so he knows what he’s walking into as far as pressure is concerned and probably has a very good support system with his wife, sponsors, and mentors.
  23. Double... triple that shit. Make him not think twice about it.
  24. We need to Casey to go off on ou and have a big year. If Ewers loved the horns growing up and has Texas family alumni... he’ll be watching our games this year. Need to show him that he doesn’t have to go to bum fuck Columbus to win. This is a complete new staff that has nothing to lose. Let’s see if Day can sustain a program more than 1-2 years. What happens when Urban’a staff and recruits leave over the course of the next few years. Let’s see him develop recruits and QBs that are his own. The pressure will be on ohio state to keep him. Sark has nothing to lose here, show him what he wants and it will be hard for him not to follow his heart.
  25. Sark needs to show a list of QBs he’s put in the NFL and then show Day’s. Let Ewers see the difference.
