  1. Ossai was the best pass rusher in Texas in his class. He was a top 20 prospect in the state top 200 national prospect. He was definitely a blue chip that was heavily recruited by Texas, aggy, Bama, LSU, Oregon, ou, etc.
  2. He's going to be a 1st round pick. He's just now starting to tap into his potential.
  3. I don't think so. Our football and basketball programs are not competitive at all. We are out of the national picture within the first few weeks of the season every fucking year. Our recruiting for football is the worst it has ever been. Meanwhile our rivals are all ranked ahead of us and many have consistently made the CFP, won it, or are competing for it. He's the guy in charge. He decides what is acceptable here and what isn't. I will repeat this a 1000 times. Good leaders make good decisions before it's too late. There is a top 3 coach sitting there. Herman clearly is not going to win a championship here. There is no debating that. Our recruiting class is looking like it should belong to Iowa State or Kansas State, not like one of a blue blood with resources. We struggle to beat shit teams. We are 1-5 versus our rival. This has become acceptable here and it's embarrassing. CDC needs to go if he thinks keeping Herman here is better than throwing the kitchen sink at Meyer.
  4. This is why you fire him after ou. Once again, we have terrible leaders that cannot be proactive about anything. LSU, usc, and many programs have done mid season firings. Also, for those that don’t pay attention, recruiting is dead. This is going to be one of the worst classes Texas signs. Our 3 stars are even looking to bail. Why play for a program whose head coach is on the hot seat that barely wins games against a mediocre schedule when LSU, ou, aggy are competing for playoff spots. We’re going to end up in a situation where Herman will do barely enough to keep his job. Meanwhile recruiting is going to be in the gutter this year and next year. Only for us to fire him next season when he produces the same results he has the last 4 years. CDC needs to be gone. The rot in this program starts at the top. Good athletics directors make good decisions. They don’t give coaches extensions after 5 loss seasons and they fire coaches when they know the program is on life support. Fuck CDC, fuck Herman, and fuck this athletic department that only cares about dollar signs. We are a joke of a program and it will be par for course for us to fuck up locking down a top 3 coach sitting there while we keep Mensa here. We can go hire fleck or whatever other mediocre coach next year. Rinse, repeat.
  5. Probably Jordan Thomas. He was down to aggy and is before committing and aggy thought he was leaning their way before momentum shifted the month of his commitment. As far as offensive players? Lmao who? We have a list of guys that most big time power 5 programs didn’t even offer. These can decide to shop around and end up at smu or UH. This is the worst list of offensive players in a class that I can ever remember.
  6. He’s just not that fast. He had okay speed coming out of high school and was was much quicker. I think his injuries have slowed his agility and straight line speed. Unless he uses his instincts to break on a ball, he gets beat. With that said, outside of Overhsown, all of our DBs have regressed. Sterns, Foster, Green, Cook. Those were all 5 star or borderline 5 star guys. I bet not a single one gets drafted in the top 3 rounds. Texas cannot develop players. How many draft picks have we had over the last 10 years compared to Bama, LSU, Ohio state, Clemson, UGA, Florida, ou, Oregon, etc. not sure we even have as many as aggy.
  7. They should have fired him after ou. If he goes on to win against wvu, Ku, KSU, and isu.... it becomes complicated. Herman has shown he can beat all of those teams. It would not surprise me if we did. This is why I was furious when he didn’t fire him when everyone was on board after ou. I watched bits of the Baylor game. Even less Of the osu game. I have zero plans to watch the wvu game. I don’t think I looked at a single thread this week on surly. I truly don’t give a shit at this point. Why take out time from my Saturdays to watch a shit product when our ceiling is the gawd damn Alamo bowl. This athletic department only makes decisions when it hurts their pockets. We have incompetent leaders that do not care about winning and only care about their pockets. Lastly, recruiting is the worst it’s been since i started following it in 2004. This program has no pulse. There is nothing to sell and nothing to combat the negative recurring from other schools. There are 4 years of below average results to point to and good players want nothing to do with this program. That type of negative cloud is hard to overcome when your neighboring programs are competing for championships and putting players on the NFL.
  8. All the recruits have been posting on Instagram hinting about Ewers, Burton, and Domani Jackson committing to tOSU soon. In his decommitment post, he stated he will have a firm decision soon about where he will end up. My personal guess is that there was some falling out with Herman whether it’s the noise around his job security, Yurcich not calling plays, direction of the offense, or simply he’s having a hard time getting other recruits to consider Texas. If I were to guess, they are probably waiting to create some type of video before committing to tOSU. If that happens kiss any hope of him committing back to Texas, whether we hire Meyer or not. Our best hope is that his parents tell him to hold off on making a decision and to wait to see what CDC and Texas does.
  9. I remember when he started Garrett Gray and Kyle Porter his first year while Devin Duvernay was a back up. He handicaps this offense by playing guys that have no business starting.
  10. Guys, enjoy the win. Just like every game since he has been here, it’s going to be 50/50 whether we win. If we win out, great. Odds are we are going to lose to a team that we shouldn’t. He’s going to get fired. Recruiting is in the shitter, not sure how he changes that perception.
  11. Have you seen the 21 and 22 classes currently? The next coach will need players to win, so that more players want to come here. We're currently losing them. This is our concern, dude. It’s okay, we’re going to fuck up Bama with our 3 star recruits in 2022! That’ll get all the 5 stars to consider us again!
  12. Remember when LSU fired Les Miles mid season? And Oregeron got the team to buy in and they started winning? And when they started winning, their recruiting class didn’t complete fall apart. Yeah, what we are doing is so much better...
  13. Wow, he hired a good women’s b-ball coach -‘d softball coach. Let’s give him a raise!! What are their names again? A good leader makes decisions at the right time. If we win Saturday, do you think Herman gets fired? Is another week of recruits bailing going to help this program? Herman is clearly doing his best to burn this down. Put Ash, Drayton, anyone else in charge. Atleast it’s an audition from them and they will atleast try to get recruits to keep an open mind. Do you think Herman is trying his best to make our program better right now? Because if he’s not, he should be fired. If CDC is waiting for a loss to show we are out of contention, then he’s a huge fucking pussy. We have 4 years of results to point to that he’s a terrible coach. People that get fired, are usually too late with the right decisions. CDC will not being here long term if this is how he operates. He just made this job a lot less attractive to any decent by waiting. I remember when Jim Mora, David Shaw, and a list of other coaches at mediocre programs turned us down. It will be more of the same.
  14. CDC doing his thing got us in this situation. He can go do his thing elsewhere. The way he’s managed the basketball and football programs gives me little hope based on his decisions.
  15. Herbstreit was right it looks like.... fucking cesspool. If we’re going to suck, let’s atleast stop paying our athletic director and coaches top 5 salaries. If I’m going to watch a shit product, I’ll do so with a HEB coupon for $10 tickets to games. These guys are stealing money from alums and this school and are absolutely horrible at their jobs.
  16. You guys are giving Herman too much credit. This is the same guy that got caught flipping the camera and fans on national signing day. He’s very immature.
  17. Yup, I follow recruiting religiously. This is one of the worst meltdowns from a recruiting standpoint. I’m not sure how we convince these kids to jump back on board and convince other talented players to give us a look. As a parent, I 100% wouldn’t want my kid to play for this coach and this athletic department. The only thing we have proven is that we waste talent, and keep horrible coaches in charge longer than they should.
  18. Wow... At this point, I want CDC fired as well. You’re in charge of the football program. You’ve proven to be a complete pussy. We have Shaka and Herman burning both programs to the ground and our idiot athletic director is watching it happen.
  19. That's a two way street. I wouldn't be surprised if we had a decent number of talented prospects hop off this train as well. Kenyatta Watson already left. He's a CB with NFL athleticism that looked good in the limited playing time he received on defense and special teams. I can see Jake Smith leaving along with Eagles and Marcus Washington. Jalen Green is a guy that could probably start at many programs rather than riding the bench for a shitty Texas team. Bryon Vaughns just entered the portal. Leibrock is a guy that was rumored to on the look out for a transfer recently. Some of these kids want a future with football outside of college. Our program will need to battle other schools telling them they can immediately transfer and start and be developed.
  20. If Herman wins in Stillwater against the #6 team in the country, it's going to make an easy situation messy. Congrats CDC, you fucking moron. Good leaders make hard decisions at the right time. Both our basketball program and football program are in the gutter. If this job is too big for you, fucking go back to TCU.
  21. I'm there with you guys as well. I never missed a home game during my 4 years on campus. Never missed a game in high school. Have watched every game possible outside of friend's weddings and even then, I have my ESPN app up. I'm fucking done. I'm tired of my Saturdays being ruined. This program is always reactionary. Always too fucking late to make the right moves. Hey guess what CDC, you stupid fuck. You should have fired him last year. We've been through this shit show with Mack and Charlie where they fire their entire staff and get a do over. It doesn't fucking work. That is a last ditch effort and other coaches and recruits know it. If things don't change, the coaches are back on the hot seat immediately and no recruit is going to sign up to play for a HC and staff that won't be there. You should have fired him last year and you should have fired him after the TCU loss and then you had the chance to fire him after ou. Now you're hoping he losses again and it may get dragged out for another couple of weeks while all of our recruiting efforts in multiple classes has fallen apart. You should have fired his ass after ou and assured Ewers we were going to bring in a fucking elite coach with an elite staff and to wait it out. Instead, he's about to commit to tOSU along with Burton and Domani Jackson, both 5 stars that were trending towards Texas. Once again, we are a fucking joke of a program. Atleast aggy can pound their chest about SEC. We are a fucking pathetic big 12 team, with pathetic coaches, and a pathetic administration. I'm not donating any fucking money and not coming to any more games. I've wasted enough money traveling to Austin to see us lose against bad teams consistently.
