I doubt Worthy is the only pure mercenary on our team and it behooves the Aggies to tempt whoever isn't a starter or just wants to get a better deal out of our NIL.

This one doesn't require that much imagination, but let's say Dan Lanning comes in and wants to build his defense around Hicks.  Hicks doesn't want to go, really, but Lanning has the institutional support to offer $250K in "NIL" money and that's a big bag.  I'd presume we'll match but maybe we'd have only paid Hicks $100K otherwise.  That $150K additional isn't there now for Bryce Anderson or whoever.

If I was A&M I'm making very clear to the Texas players that the bank is open just to see who appears interested.

That money has to come from somewhere.  Aggy doesn't have an unlimited fund of NiL like you are assuming.  They have their own roster they will need to keep as teams will be hovering like vultures.  Their boosters are already funding that 2022 #1 class, money into the athletic department and funding their current recruiting class.

I mean, Bama vs Middle Tennessee and USF should have alerted everyone that the Bama win at the time was half gold and half fools gold. To give Bama credit, they've actually gotten better week over week against quality opponents whereas we seem to have stagnated (including an injury to our QB, fair or unfair). I think the one game that Bama played like crap past the early season was the arky game because arky suuuuucks.

Bama is definitely improved.  But that game wasn't miracle on ice.  We were bigger and controlled the LOS.  That won't change if there is a rematch.  Bama still has youth on the OL and a QB that can be made 1 dimensional if we can stop the run.  The worst thing Bama can face is a team that is as big and better on the lines and a team that can score and go up.  Force Milroe to throw and you end up seeing Bama struggle.  The look great now but that has more to do with their opponents and match ups.  Let's see how they match up against UGA.  We are also injury ridden and playing our back up QB.  I'd take Texas in that matchup any day as long as our starters are healthy.

  3. People complain when Sark rotates guys with early leads.  Then people complain when Sark keeps the starters in to close the game out.  Sark had nothing to do with that injury.  Brooks was getting big runs and we were trying to kill the clock.  I think it was a 13 point game at that point.

If that’s how they feel about Davis things must be positive on the Xavier Filsaime

I have no idea but I know a few weeks back Bobby had implied that it Davis better make sure he has a good senior year as Texas is evaluating other safeties.  Maybe his senior doesn’t look great? No idea.  Plus I’m sure Texas feels they can get impact players in the portal.

Gerry mentioned that Blake Ivy tried reaching back out to the Texas staff but he doesn’t think it’s going anywhere. He had a shoulder injury this year.

Looks like Myles Davis and Ivey have tried to get back with Texas but we don’t seem interested in either.   Smith seems to be the only recruit we want but he seems set on aggy regardless if it’s Jimbo or a jizz jar as their coach.  Not sure about Bussey as we never quite pushed for him to begin with.  You’d have to bet Texas will try to get Bryce Anderson or Jacoby Matthews to portal with our safety needs.

rhis is on your sark you fucking trash can coach. Csnt keep a lead for shit against anyone.  When blue and Baxter should have been mopping up in garbage time we had to lean on our bad mother fucker to squeak out a win

Maybe take some time off the boards…

Which game would you say he's been elite this year?

I think he’s called the game pretty well through the whole season.  I think he’s mismanaged the clock a few times and should have kicked a FG a few times.  I think the team has lacked execution more than bad play calling and I’m also factoring in we had a back up QB for two games.  We are ranked #14 in total offense.  Who would like us to replace Sark with that is better?  For reference, level of OCs Texas has attracted have been Mike Yurcich, Tim Beck, Shawn Watson, Sterling Gilbert, Major Applewhite…. That’s our history with OCs.  You think we should replace our current OC who has been hired by Pete Carrol, Nick Saban, and was offered jobs in the NFL to call plays and run his offense.  The same guy that has put 8 QBs in the NFL and  and has been the only person to help a WR win the Heisman in recent memory.  Same dude the Manning’s sent their son to play for.  Please tell me who you would like to hire to call plays to replace Sark that will improve our offense?

I think Sark has flaws like every head coach but let’s not get stupid here.

  8. Bama is not going to jump us as long as we win out.  We won by double digits on their home field in a game we completely dominated.  There is a reason they ranked Oregon is ahead and not Bama, we already know how they see it.  We just need to win out, that is all that matters.  A Texas team in the playoffs would be a big ratings hit for the networks and there will be a push for us.  We also just beat a well coached top 25 team with our backup QB. Let’s not act like pussies.

Both coaches failed their teams and players by not taking points. I’m not sure about Klieman but sark is doing this it seems every week

I really don’t understand why KSY went for it.  They have a very good red zone offense and we have arguable the worst red zone offense.  They had a huge advantage in OT.  We couldn’t even complete a pass in OT and we had been struggling on offense in general the entire 2nd half.  It was a stupid decision on his part and it obviously cost them the game.

  10. Sark had some stupid calls.  He got too comfortable with a lead.  You need to take the points.  Malik is wreck-less with the ball.   Those 3 turnovers killed us.  This game was 27-7 with 1 min left in the 3rd quarter.  We need to stop melting down against teams where we have big leads.  This has been a problem with Sark since he got here.  Only difference is that we have had some luck on our side with missed extra points and missed field goals.

With all that said, we are 8-1 and we beat a top 25 well coached team with our back up QB.  How many teams can do that?  That’s encouraging.  We have also yet to play our best football.  Not sure it will happen but we are winning in spite of our mistakes.  Sark really needs to get Arch reps bc if Malik keeps playing like this, we have too much on the line to not put the best players in position to play.  It may be 2-3 years before we have a roster ready tj make a run like we do this year.  We really need Quinn back ASAP.

  11. Typical Sark.  Hurting his team over and over with stupid decisions.  As if the UH game did wasn’t a learning lesson in taking points and not giving the opposing team momentum.  He’s a fucking moron when it come to game management and has been since his UDub days.  Then he proceeds to run no clock on the last drive, gives the ball back and proceeds to play prevent defense allowing ksu into FG range.  If they make this, they get the ball back and can tie it 17-17z. We could have been up 20-0.

we need style points to jump Oregon.  Take the fucking points you moron especially considering Klieman is a damn good coach and you have a back qb in his 2nd start.

I think this is the biggest issue for most working and lower middle class families.

Also, inflation has been a real challenge for small business to navigate increased costs across the board, price increases for customers and wage increases for labor.  They simply can't absorb that level of change is such a short time frame easily.

    • The typical American household spent $709 more in July than it did two years ago to buy the same goods and services, according to Moody’s Analytics.
    • Compared to one year ago, the typical household spent $202 more this July.

Families are spending about $700 more per month than two years ago thanks to inflation (linkedin.com)

My monthly cost at my office has gone up from 35k a month to 45k a month during the last 2 years.  All of it has to do with wages, cost for supplies, utilities, fees, etc.  I've had to raise my fees but most of my patients have been understanding as it's everything.  It truly is a fucked situation.  I do pretty well and I feel it.  I cannot imagine the stress people are feeling that live paycheck to paycheck.  My 25 yo sister is a CPA and her fiance a CFA.  They are both struggling to save with their student loans, cost of living, etc.  They're stressed about paying for their wedding and also saving for a house.

As a lurker to this thread, I am just curious how much money you guys have tied up in these little adventures. 100, 1k, 10k, 100k?

I can't tell if you guys have rapper with money in these stocks or $50 total.

I had about 15k in them all together.  I'm down to like 4k now.  Bought IBRX at 32 and bought down at 20 and then at 11 LMAO.  Bought AMYZF at 99 cents.  Bought UUUU in the $6 range.  Also bought a few others like WISH at $20 (down like 99%).   Then some other random ones.  I'm surprised I'm not down to 0.  Wish I just spent it on a nice vacation instead but fuck it.... not selling and we're going to the moon!!!

Right and don’t let someone bait and switch you on saying oh yeah it’s 325 and then 3 months later it’s over 400.

That is my fear.  I’ve been through two construction projects and fully understand change orders and how much more it cost me back in 2019.  The realtor is using the same builder and architect and dumped 300k into his termite infested home he bought that is similar to the one we are eyeing.  We’re going to look at it tomorrow to see what 300k with this builder gets you.  It’s the real estate agent that is telling me more about cost than the builder.  Builder won’t even give me a remote idea of cost.

There’s a couple builders on here that can give you a ballpark but that’s prob the best they can do without a good bit more info and not being your builder. My quick eyeball test and after what you wrote your numbers seem a bit low

That’s what I’m thinking too. We were initially looking to tear down and take out a construction loan but there are no lots available in the area and shit homes being listed to tear down are like 500-600k.  I was out at that point but builder then suggested we could renovate with the money we were going to use as a down payment.  Had a realtor call me to show me homes.  So we are out looking and I still don’t know if he can do what we want with our budget.  Which is fine, but don’t want to waste my time or the realtors if it’s not achievable.

Thats kind of like asking how much a car costs.

I know man.  That’s why I’m asking.  Hard to get any information online and builder and architect keep telling me they won’t give me a quote till after inspections.  I just don’t want to shell out option money and inspection money again to be told it’s too pricey.  That shit adds up quick when you do it multiple times.  Just looking for feedback.  If anyone has done similar projects and what it cost them.
