  1. Yesterday was the lowest scoring in a very long time - the 8 teams combined did not break into 20 or more runs. Just in the past few years: 2021 - 4-3, 3-2, 5-1, 4-0 (22 runs scored) 2022 - 13-2, 7-2, 7-1, 4-2 (38 runs scored) 2023 - 2-0, 10-5, 8-0, 4-1 (30 runs scored) 2024 - 4-0, 1-0, 4-1, 9-1 (20 runs scored) 2025 - 3-0, 4-3, 1-0, 4-2 (17 runs scored)
  2. I think she needs to do what she did yesterday - Trust your defense when you throw the drop ball so you can keep the pitches low, mix speeds with your changeup and change eye level for strikeouts with the rise ball. Yesterday was by far her best pitching performance since Tennessee game 1 because she didn't try to be perfect and strike out 10 batters; she let her drop ball do the work and Mia/Goode were very excellent behind her. And she fielded her position well several times.
  3. 7 hosts opted to play early, 9 wanted to be the night cap
  4. Yep. No doubt Saturday will be: Kavan-Landry Canady-Terry Winner of tonight's games get Saturday off, as they have to win on Sunday and then try to win twice on Monday.
  5. Texas lost to OU in the regular season, 6-7, 2-7, 8-9 TK game 1: 2.1 IP, 6 H, 6 ER, 2 BB, 2K - the rest of the staff only allowed 1 ER the rest of the game Landry game 1: 7 IP, 7 H, 6 R (2 ER), 3 BB, 5 K Neither TK nor Landry pitched in game 2 TK game 3: 2 IP, 5 H, 8 ER, 4 BB, 2 K - Cam and Cit only gave up a single earned run in the other 4 innings Landry did not start in game 3, but pitched in relief: 3.2 IP, 1 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 5K This was the stretch of games where TK was not right, and the announcer team mentioned that last night - it was a mechanics issue that has been corrected. We will see if it has been truly corrected by Saturday or not.
  6. Season finale felt like a season opener. Episode 9 felt like a season finale, so episode 10 just felt like a bonus episode
  7. 6 teams move on (yay Texas, finished top 6 minimum) 2 teams going home after a 2 and Q visit to OKC Florida-Tennessee, 6pm, ESPN Ole Miss-Oregon, 8:30pm, ESPN Texas, OU, Tech and UCLA today:
  8. Yep. As much as everyone hates on reviewing the runner leaving early, that is pretty cut and dry. Put the runner leaving next to the pitcher throwing and you can determine it easily Obstruction is way too subjective and open to interpretation
  9. Just rolls off the tongue
  10. Texas was the only lower seed to win today. OU, UCLA, Tech and Texas move to Saturday Tenn-FL and Oregon-OM tonight. 2 going home
  11. 1 run on 4 hits for Tech. Not sure they will have the offense against UCLA/Oregon and Texas or OU
  12. Arky might have actually given Canady a challenge Too bad they are such chokers
  13. Spoiler alert: Canady is gonna slice through this lineup like a hot knife through room temp butter
  14. “With the victory, Texas is now 7-1 all time in games played the on the opening day of the WCWS, the most by any softball program with five-or-more WCWS appearances.”
  15. In OKC? NO WAY! Glad to be the morning game
  16. I believe this will happen
  17. Apparently the Virginia AD is ass and they renewed the contract for her so he’s like, see ya. I read she won’t even approve fully funding all 34 baseball scholarships
  18. We already play aggy in November, so kind of
  19. Bad. Obviously we need to do all The voodoo to get a win because once you drop to the other bracket, you’re talking winning 3 games in 2 days (Sunday versus Friday’s winner and twice on Monday)
  20. Win or lose, I’ll be plastered during a bar crawl that starts same time as the game
  21. Yep. Nugent is a mole, confirmed. All she needed was a sac fly
  22. Yep. They only Have 3 players on offense who were part of last year’s squad / have OKC experience. They showed up with the double and the HR
