  1. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think we have seen evidence of Russia AD being able to intercept GMLRS? If they could they would have used them to protect the bridges and larger ammo depots that have been hit repeatedly. My guess is the HARMs are being used in conjunction with TB-2s and other larger UAVs. Or generally hitting targets of opportunity to keep the Russians moving and radars turned off.
  2. They still have a fuck ton of Mi-8's and Mi-26's. Not sure how far Ukraine's SAMs can cover into the area. Obviously they can't support the whole group of Russians on the west side but could make a dent.
  3. It's not the bad idea. I've seen talk about using the A-10 or others as a munitions trucks lugging large amounts of longer range ordinance to fire well behind the front line while using smaller, stealthy drones over the contested space sending back targeting info
  4. If it's happening, that's probably one of the more remarkable developments and a very closely guarded secret. Pre-war, and stop me if we've heard this before, Russian EW was thought to be top notch. The recent Washington Post series covering the opening weeks (which I highly recommend), the Russians were able to jam/hack/whatever most of the Ukraine's air defense and communications. I imagine since then it's something a lot of NATO nerds have been working on with their Ukrainian counterparts 24/7. Also, at least according to the articles, Starlink was clutch in reestablishing Ukrainian C&C.
  5. SU-25 fills the CAS role for both sides. I'm sure I am missing some but other platforms that can do CAS SU-24, Mi-8's, Mi-24/35s. Not to mention drone dropped shit. All that said, I think it is unlikely to see a lot of traditional CAS from either side with the overwhelming prevalence of SAMs and MANPADs. My amateur opinion, is more likely drone, SOF and/or partisan reconnaissance followed by quick HIMARS or M270 volley.
  6. Agree with all of this but would break the air war into manned and unmanned. Drones might be the single biggest factor to successful operations in this conflict so far. Over the last 48 hours, I've seen a few videos/reports of Ukrainian EW taking down Russian drones. If Ukraine has been able to keep their DJIs up and running while knocking out Russia's ISR, the Russians are fighting blind. The Soviets and now the Russians had a notorious reputation for poor situational visibility/reconnaissance. If you can see it, you can hit and if you can't, you're fucked.
  7. Exactly. I'm just waiting for them to figure out how to put wings on their new tanks.
  8. You are blaming the Kansas game on a guy who went for 360 and 6 TDs / 1 INT?
  9. Close. He writes for FAIR - FAIR is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing well-documented answers to criticisms of the doctrine, practice, and history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He clearly is an expert on magic underpants and what airdefense doing.
  10. Holy fuck this guy likes to deepthroat his own turds
  11. Thanks for the recommendation, adding to my reading list. Currently reading memoir of Soviet M4 Sherman commander. And anyone who hasn't read World War III by Sir John Hackett, highly recommend - written in 1978 and published in 1982(?) is scary accurate with what we've been seeing in the current conflict.
  12. On the surface doesn't appear to me to be a war time mobilization but moving closer. Is the plan is to increase the conscripts in the fall draft (Oct - Dec) and convert some percentage (through various means) into contract soldiers? That could solve some of the man power issues by early next year, but with unmotivated, untrained replacements. Or if Putin successfully freezes the conflict for 24-60 months, this increase in manpower potentially poses an issue for Ukraine.
  13. Think Ukrainian sunset was about 30 mins ago. Sounds like some TU-22s let off some standoff missiles. I haven't seen Kyiv and the western cities getting hit as often recently but still been happening periodically.
  14. Score: Texas 52 - ULM 16 38 - 7 at half Bijan 181 total yards (124 Rushing, 59 receiving) - all in the 1st half

  19. Blowing up legacy Soviet ammunition and/or ammunition manufacturing sites has been a Russian thing for awhile. If I remember correctly Czech Republic and Bulgaria to be specific.
  20. LOL these reports are such horseshit. "If Card has a better final scrimmage he will be named the starter"..... no shit "but that doesn't mean a change can't happen once he shits the bed in an actual game".... no shit Being that the $9.95 are all full of shit it doesn't matter - but everyone seems to be on the same page saying Ewers is better with the deep ball (and potentially during the true "Team" periods but when you factor in individual and 7 on 7 (which matter significantly less)), Card has been more "consistent." It is definitely not a ringing endorsement. I will go out on a limb and say if Ewers has the better scrimmage tomorrow, he will be named the starter. /dramaticgophergif We will know the answer tomorrow, and if the answer is Card so be it... it will more than likely change to Ewers early in the season. If we don't switch, that means we are wrecking shop on offense, and I don't give a fuck.
