  1. There are only small victories left. Today could be one of them. COYG!
  2. It’s not just the one thing. It’s the dismal tide. Too expensive. Big screens are cheap. Not as many good movies. Here’s a take on why that last one is:
  3. Some news recently came out about the video game series that I recommend you avoid if you want to avoid season 2 spoilers
  4. The last thing I recall seeing him in was an episode of that animated Netflix series Love Death & Robots.
  5. The Conversation was a very slow burn but I’m glad I watched it. Almost felt like Kubrick instead of Coppola. Some big supporting cast members. Mississippi Burning is still great. I certainly didn’t appreciate it when I was assigned to go watch it in high school. We called it Mississippi Boring. Watching Crimson Tide now, and it has the Bruckheimer cheese but it’s fun to watch Denzel and Hackman spar.
  6. Watched Strange Darling on a flight. Good bloody fun. Great acting by Willa Fitzgerald of Reacher fame. Kinda Shyamalan meets Tarantino. Don’t let anyone tell you anything about it just see it.
  7. I think we’re gonna be ok
  8. Watched Heretic on a flight. Good fun for Hugh Grant alone. Nice short watch, not too gory or scary if you have fraidy cats in your circles.
  9. Would pay to see that
  10. Good recollection of Hackman by Bill Murray. He was as cantankerous as you’d expect. https://variety.com/2025/film/news/bill-murray-gene-hackman-rough-wes-anderson-royal-tenenbaums-1236323408/
  11. Props to Sloot for keeping it going for the Puddles. They are uncatchable.
  12. Is this the most well written movie ever made?
  13. “We know we’ve put out mostly absolute garbage Star Wars content but this one is really good please please watch it.” -Disney I didn’t like the choice of music either (I like my Star Wars music like my church music: traditional) but who fucking cares. Can’t wait.
  14. Are the books any good?
  15. I can’t wait for Q: The College Years, dropping Sundays on Prime!
  16. Well yeah, that movie was filmed ten years ago. I thought The Gorge was very dumb but kinda fun. First 30 mins is slow. Felt like a paycheck movie that actors do so they can go do some smaller stuff.
  17. Thanks for posting this version, I didn’t realize it was taken by another crew
  18. Yeah that’s the big obvious set piece that would be cool to see.
  19. Video from a passenger getting off the plane https://x.com/outbreakupdates/status/1891629992976470493?s=46&t=ijQeM9QF3R373kzho_gbaQ
  20. I’m curious where all that money goes. Seems like a ludicrous amount for a movie that is largely made on green screen and a laptop.
  21. Just finished Hostiles. Had somehow never seen it. What a cast, they and the cinematographer do what they can with the story, such as it is. Liked it ok but not a great Western in my mind. 3:10 to Yuma is a much better use of Bale’s and Foster’s talents.
  22. This show had some massive eye roll moments all the way through. Gilpin’s character was maddeningly stupid. Bridger and Isaac were the only likable characters. It looked good though.
  23. Just finished episode two of American Primeval And yeah it’s pretty much a Revenant clone. Violent and grim.
