  1. Bear in mind that most of those breasts are at least 50 years old. And/or cancerous. And the images show no skin. Carry on.
  2. Track IP, commence Surly anti-turd internet warfare
  3. I might have totally invented one of those
  4. I like this for a new addition to the Surly lexicon. Has one meaning when the subject is a Surl and an entirely different one when it is a recruit.
  5. It's amazing. There are a few "we aren't D1 coaches and need to trust coach Brown Strong Herman" types around, but the overall tone here if we tried to roll with no OT and no plan to get one would be pitchforks and game-day airplane banners.
  6. Youth and lack of size at QB and OT is a set-up for offensive crisis. You can get defensive scores and a runaway result.
  7. Weak but yes. Risk of developing cancer from it maybe 1 in 1,000.
  8. Terrible news. No one should have to bury his son. RIP Luke. Trivia: Burkitt was laughed out of the room when he presented his theory that this form of cancer could have an infectious etiology. While there are sporadic cases too, it is now known to be caused by the Epstein-Barr virus (also the cause of mono).
  9. The Sugar may be interesting. The OU squad we relegate to play there may match mirror images of offensive versus defensive excellence and futility, compared to LSU.
  10. It's apparently hard to beat his principal conference rivals, too.
  11. There doesn't have to be a grand conspiracy for there to be shenanigans. We have, it would seem, testimony under oath that multiple colleges reported FWK's shopping Demas around-- shenanigans. We have a transfer "for safety of the kid," leaving the younger siblings behind-- odd. We have incompatible stories about where he actually moved and with whom he lived-- shenanigans. Multiple people are intervening in where this teenager lives, where he goes to HS, and where he will likely go to college for reasons that trace back to his FB talent but which are being represented as anything but. Those people have business relationships among each other and with aTm. A variegated patchwork of aggy boosters and self-interest-seekers that lacks true leadership or a master plan is no more honest or morally acceptable merely because of its disorganization or incompetence.
  12. Winning sells. Bama winning sells more of some things than does Texas losing. Texas winning sells more than most imaginable alternatives.
  13. Translation: "ANY TIME ANY PLACE NO WAY NO HOW"
  14. He should have been able to predict that.
  15. This. The Chronicle article said apartment with Grandpa. Mama Dunn says en casa de Dunn. That seems like a big detail to get wrong in a story about relocating a kid to a safer home.
  16. Hat tip to @Dennis Taylor for suggesting to look it up. FWK’s gym is on land owned, per the tax records, by DUNNCO PROPERTIES II LTD10318 LAKE RD STE 103AHOUSTON TX 77070-1873
  17. I can’t imagine there was any money received by Whitfield from the Dunns, nor any agreement that Whitfield would package the players in return.
  18. I thought Fingers was shutting it down
  19. The nicknames could be on the capes on the defensive recruits. Not sure what to do if ATH guys are aren’t projecting clearly as O or D.
  20. One thought: Have a panel of our self-appointed surly recruiting experts rate them on floor (not ready, contributor, star, e.g.), ceiling, and overall take urgency (pass, depth, take, hold a spot, e.g.). Assign numeric values to the ratings.
  21. Okafor 277 Braun 442 Kerstetter 619 Shack 1050 Cosmi 1123 The median rank for them (981) and us (619) are comparable. I think we can agree that they are helped less protecting their passer with their #1 rated guy at #15 Green than we are with our lowest rated, #1123 Cosmi.
  22. Yeah, I think that .8958 phenom won't be there to help aggy until 2021 at the earliest-- you know, after the next natty.
  23. Aggy is 1-6 against each of LSU and Bama, 0-0 against UGA since joining the SEC. Using 1 in 7 as a probability for winning any given tough game seems fair. They are 28-14 against the rest of the conference. Using 2/3 as a probability seems a bit (not un)fairly harsh, so let's assign a probability with only half the chance of a loss: 5/6. Obviously this involves some generalization and a few other assumptions, but that would put the likelihood of beating all the (conference) weak sisters at 40%, compared to that of losing to all the better teams of 54%. If one uses the historically documented 2/3 figure, that 40% drops to 13%
