  1. This is heartening to hear. If Texas wants to go that way for a non-conference schedule, they might as well schedule all the former SWC Texas schools on a rotating basis. Heck, you might be able to fit two of them in certain seasons. Maybe have them for home openers unless of course you can play them in Houston, Dallas, or San Antonio. Baylor, Tech, TCU, SMU, Rice, UH will keep the olds and purists happy and throw in UTSA and UTEP to help out the UT System for a total 8 in-state nonconference opponents.
  2. I thought the in-state guy for 2024 was Cole Welliver. But maybe that has changed.
  3. Perroni took this photograph. Hence, the "WTF mang?!" look. Also, the kid should have a NIL deal lined up with a sunscreen company the moment he enrolls in college. All this aside, why are they recruiting this kid? https://www.on3.com/college/texas-longhorns/football/2024/offers/ (Does not have an offer yet)
  4. They mentioned a QB from one of the Cypress area schools is visiting for the Bama game. His name escapes me, but IT feels that he is the only in-state QB getting attention from the Texas staff. So no, not Lagway who is from Willis.
  5. *gutturally. Did you have a manbun back then?
  6. Would that explain Texas re-engaging with WR Kyle Parker?
  7. Since we're praying for the football gods to fuck LSU this season (and hopefully the next one and the next one and the next one, etc.), let's take a proper look at their current commitment list: https://www.on3.com/college/lsu-tigers/football/2023/commits/ For me, #1 on the poaching wishlist should be Zalance Heard. Can never have enough good linemen and Zalance Heard might actually end up being a badass DT.
  8. This isn't MLB, 3 putt.
  9. It worked out, but for a completely different reason. It worked out because the OL recruits saw how shitty the current OL was and correctly believed that they could come in to compete for playing time immediately. It's not the same situation at the TE position. However, the argument can be made that the coaching staff awards playing time on the basis of merit and not seniority.
  10. He couldn't. It's why Urquidez is doing this for a living. https://www.linkedin.com/in/jp-urquidez-8312431b5/
  11. LOL! These two teams were trying to out derp each other!
  12. They do, but they were just blanks.
  13. Oh I know why recruits weren't watching. Fucking LHN. I can't wait it for to be transformed into something else once Texas joins the SEC. Then hopefully we don't have to put up with the shithead known as Lowell Galindo.
  14. Still covered the spread and the Surly gambling degenerates rejoice!
  15. Being saved for Bama? A fan can only hope.
  16. That OU player has a name. It's Lendy Holmes. However, he no longer has a soul.

Sargent is in form. Take him to Qatar, Gerg!
  18. Gentleman, get your popcorn for the matinee!
  19. https://247sports.com/Player/Hunter-Moddon-46111530/TimelineEvents/ Brennan Marion offered him early (February 26, 2021) while he was at Pitt. That's probably a big reason why the Texas coaching staff is comfortable accepting his commitment now.
  20. Aw fuck it, let's celebrate!
  21. https://247sports.com/player/hunter-moddon-46111530/ Is this commitment legit?? Or we getting trolled??
  22. Georgia doesn't have goons? I mean what did you call the players at Florida under Urban Meyer (sans St. Teebus)?
