  1. ESPN's IG listed the NBA leaders of the decade in points, assists, steals, threes, blocks, and rebounds. the leaders in points, threes, and steals were fairly obvious, and the assist leader wasn't too surprising, but the leaders in blocks and rebounds would have taken me a few guesses. so without looking it up, who y'all got in assists, rebounds, and blocks?

  2. got to see some film yesterday of KJ running games at BTY Basketball with some college guys and from what i hear a couple of former college guys who are currently playing in Europe. Royce Hamm was on the opposing team from KJ for at least one of the games and had a huge putback dunk. As for KJ, his summer work is clearly paying off. he looked more explosive and nimble than he ever has, and he more than held his own throughout, including hitting a game winner at one point. Brock was also there and involved, so as far as our recruitment of KJ goes its good that he's getting to know more and more of our guys up close an personal.

also there's no research that backs up high draft picks =/= high finishes.  in football there is, but not baseball.

    that may be correct, however:

1)2012 was the last time i got the first overall pick in this league, and I drafted Miggy and went wire to wire for the title.

2)You know how I get down- trades. i can take Acuña or Yelich and turn them into 2 or 3 useful players with an early trade, which is something that i like to do when i get a very high pick.

so even if there's no research that says it's an advantage, if still prefer to pick first overall every year if i had the choice, obviously. although this is probably the worst year to ever have the first overall pick with all of the unknowns out there- there's going to be crazy value in every round. i could see a ton of booms/busts during this truncated season. gonna be nuts.

Inside man? That movie was great

i actually watched this two days ago which is when i first had the thought about how his movies are just aight to me, if that. I watched BlackKklansman as well, but don't remember anything about it other than thinking that it was just ok.

none of those players even remotely resemble a d1 basketball player physically.........kj adams should not be a 5*

KJ Adams is a physical freak who looks like an NFL football player with a teenager's face. he also trains like a professional and is only getting bigger. if he comes to Texas he will be the most physically ready player we've signed in years. you could not be more uninformed here.

  6. for the record the foul on Nketiah that wasn't even called was a billion fucking times worse/more obvious than that Luiz foul that just earned him a straight red. not even close. Luiz deserves what he got, but the no-call on Nketiah when it was 0-0 is total fucking horseshit.

  7. for at least a year and a half now only Leno and Auba have been consistent for Arsenal. I think Leno is our best player tbh. based on performance he should be above Neuer in Germany's team imo.

That's really not what I meant by that but if you want to take that out into far left field then that's on you.

everything i quoted from your post can be boiled down to, "everyone in America has equal opportunities, anyone who believes in systemic racism is a lazy excuse maker, and white privilege is a myth." i didn't take your post anywhere but to task.

edit for posterity: i literally just brought up historical facts/examples of systemic racism and your reaction was, "ok libtard, way to take everything i said way out of proportion." you've got to be fucking kidding me.

If you live in a first world country, particularly America, then we all have privileges.  The benefits of being born in the 21st century are that you are not necessarily held down by the social class you are born in.  You can start out as nothing and work your way into something regardless of race.  We have millionaires and even billionaires of all different races and backgrounds.  We had a black President not long ago.  Is affirmative action not a privilege?  So the people who invoke the myth of white privilege is really only pandering to gain sympathy.  It's used as a way for people who have no balls to do what they want to do in life to blame shit on the system as if the system is keeping them there and acting as they don't have the freedom to make changes.

riiiiight. the black folks who were gerrymandered out of FDR's New Deal simply had no balls and just wanted to make excuses about "the system". Just a bunch of lazy blacks who needed to simply pull themselves up by their bootstraps and make it happen. same as the 1 million+ black men who served in WWII but were excluded from the GI Bill. buncha fucking pussies blaming "the system" when it's really all their fault. those lazy, ball-less blacks are no better than the blacks from South Central LA. I mean sure, the CIA introduced crack cocaine into black neighborhoods in LA, and then had the police/judicial system aggressively arrest and incarcerate them at insanely disproportionate rates, but that's no excuse for being addicted to crack, or taking advantage of *literally* the only chance you have to make enough money to escape the hood, right? fucking lazy ass black people making excuses all the time as if they haven't been treated exactly the same as whites since this country was founded. can't stand em.

The first scene is the best scene of the movie. I probably watch it 5 times a year.

pretty much every time i find myself being critical of some critically acclaimed movie i find myself saying, "There was more drama, and suspense, and tension, and brilliant writing and acting in the first 20 minutes of Inglorious Basterds than there was in the entirety or Argo" or whatever the movie is. fucking brilliant opening scene.
