  1. Until Sark finishes building Sark we will have these setbacks. He could have run the ball with the two back set but he reverted to his comfort zone when under pressure. Gameday management is Sark's issue and it may be his blind spot and like the rest of us when people point out a blind spot we consider those folks to be morons or envious of us. So it is hard to fix what one does not believe is an issue.
  2. It is not about the stadium it is about the Cotton, Rose, Sugar and Orange bowls being the guys when I first started to be a college football fan and then the Fiesta joining them somewhere along the way. I have marked off 4 of the 5.
  3. Yes NC should be in 95K+ stadium and no the quarters should be in the bowls because some of us like those trips and I still need my shot at the Orange Bowl since other than @Armybrat none of us have a had a chance to mark that one off the list.
  4. Round (1) is at home with four teams getting a bye week. Round (2) is either 31st and 1st which a good time for fans to travel because it is combined with the New Year celebration. Everyone knows no work gets done between Christmas and New Years. Then the semi-final is Round (3) which as best I can ascertain will happen on Wednesday and Thursday (Jan 8 & 9 2025) because of not wanting to compete against NFL games. I don't care who you are those are crappy travel dates and that is why I think those should be home games. People will make the final (Round 4) regardless of when or where it happens. I thought just saying semis was enough for people to understand what games I was talking about and the crappy calendar in which they are slated to fall. https://collegefootballplayoff.com/news/2023/5/2/24-25-dates.aspx
  5. I guess if one is watching them all on TV it does not matter. Just in the interest of fan bases. The stadiums will fill up with locals when prices go down.
  6. That is still 3 away travel games if semis are not made home games. Also, semis at home are a big reward for being a top 4 conference champion if you make past the NYG quarters. People can make a game during holiday dates. Also, they will make it to final game but would you go to semis after traveling to quarterfinals?
  7. Semis need to turn into home games. That way it is still just two games for all out travel.
  8. That first down at the end with what I estimated was three shots told me it was in the bag. I am still in denial that it did not happen but for the first time in a long time this one hurts the players more than any of us fans. I think about that when I start to get angry.
  9. The season got us the BIG XII championship we expected. It showed us a united special team we did not expect since no one talked about the things that would make this team special prior to the season. It showed us Sark is a capable program builder. Yet you are what you are and what made us vulnerable all year cost us in the end. Secondary and red zone offense. This recruiting class indicates the first is on its way to being corrected. The second still depends on Sark and he did not find an answer this year. This loss will move the second issue to the top of his offseason agenda.
  10. Just spent all day today with my own version of an RV breakdown. On our way again.
  11. Getting ready to head out. Stay safe on the road fellow horns and Hook'em.
  12. Nice to see OU lose and not look good.
  13. He is being asked so many questions about our DTs that I guess he finally got tired of it. He did well in his presser to not say much.
  14. Joel Klatt picks Alabama and Washington.
  15. He could be saying aggy is about to go on a similar stretch as us for the next 9 years if they had not been on one already for the last 20+ years.
  16. Poor aggy beat by our weak competition.
  17. Now take that picture of the eggnog dump and add a bag of dicks and it is perfect for Riley.
  18. I tried to read though all this before giving my $0.02. siap. 1) Like others a banner add that is not as intrusive as what we saw a few months ago would be fine. Make it an opt in for legacy members that are not three fiddy if you worry about it. At least they can support the board in that way give them Ad Opt In Image. 2) Maybe an off-topic flagging and troll flagging that is not a neg. After N flagging's the post is hidden unless people have themselves setup for wanting to see off topic and troll posts. This would allow folks that want to come in here and just read on topic stuff to have all those posts on ignore and not the user since sometimes we all post off topic stuff. In addition, the quote button would be disabled on such posts. 3) Did not know people looked to the committed recruit thread for actual information. Most folks on the recruiting board are so well versed on a recruit that the information would be either known or irrelevant. I see them as I was here when it happened thread. Also, isn't a link provided to the player on one of the sites that actually do it for a living. Actual insider information is probably not going to be found here because that information is discussed in confidence and unless you are that person you are not going to run here to post it. 4) Some people have complained about GIFs that is a hard one since that is some of the most enjoyable shit here for me since I wonder how you assholes came about some of them. Thanks for all the hard work that those that make this board enjoyable do.
  19. OP here you go (credit someone on reddit)
  20. When they say JUCO I guess they are talking about NMMI. Then again he probably choose to go there back in the day. Today a JUCO is a JUCO for a reason. U.S. Naval Academy[edit] To prepare for his naval career, Staubach spent one year at New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, where he set a school record for passing yards and scored 18 total touchdowns.[8] Staubach entered the U.S. Naval Academy in 1961, and played quarterback for the Midshipmen. As a third-class midshipman (sophomore) in 1962, he got his first opportunity to play, in the third game of the season, against the University of Minnesota on October 6. He relieved starter Ron Klemick as the Minnesota defense, led by Bobby Bell and Carl Eller, was stifling in its 21–0 victory. Staubach was 0–2 passing and was sacked twice for -24 yards.
  21. SIAP Talks about the lines and his guys trying to figure each other out.
  22. I hate that I agree with many things these guys say about our matchup. They do fail to say Sark has said this team can beat you in many ways.
  23. The expertise are not in coaching.
