Yeah, we're gonna need a LOT more of these.
MOAR !!!!!
Seriously I love reading them coord! I imagine living around them was pretty damn harrowing too. When you said you were afraid of Guy I believe it. I think a lot of men are down right frightening to young lads - I have my stories of fear too - but I only knew GC as a fan and even then he was a grumpy old man. Some combo of entering adult hood and they enter old age evens out the fear factor. I still can see a younger GC that would freak me the eff out too though, maybe moreso than normal.
thanks for sharing and I’m pretty sure I speak for everyone — you can share as much as you want to share here!!

I've always leaned pretty left, but have only voted in the last two presidential election cycles. Can't wait to make this my first mid-term! Thank you Cruz and Trump, you have motivated a lazy millenial in myself to not only participate in the electoral process, but to also venture into the cloak room and pay pretty close attention to current events.
Good on you bro! And don’t let this fade. The last 20 or so years there have been a shocking number of races decided by razor thin margins. Our votes really do matter.- 1

Seriously, congrats. Let us know how it goes. Despite its not being a Cobalt, that's a very cool boat.
Thanks !!
We had a fork in the road — trade up to what my gf calls an “old man” boat - cabin cruiser or get more active with a wake surfing boat. That colbalt was an amazing starter for me and has me hooked on comfort. I’ll enjoy this one but if things go my way I’ll have my old man boat when my joints get a little more stiffened.
Colbalt is having completely redone upholstery and should be finished early next week. We had it detailed and the teak oiled and some make ready work done. I’m half inclined to keep it but won’t. It’s going to look gorgeous when it’s ready. 26 feet on lake Travis is the perfect size I think.
For now I’m stoked about the active water sports piece of this one and hope to make a ton of summer memories with my boys.

I was kind of terrified of Guy as a kid, even while I had a little pre-K boner for Susanna. She was so sexy and sweet and smart -- she pretty much defined what I wanted out of a woman once I got old enough to do something about it. Guy though -- man he was a badass. Like Clint Eastwood: gruff and tough. He could walk through the doors of our house in suburban Nashville and he would make it seem like he was pushing open swinging saloon doors and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly would come on. He wrote about desperados and gunfighters, and he was a combination of both in real life.
More stories please

I was a rugrat underfoot of Townes, Steve, and Guy...My dad was good friends with all of them, and my mom was a drug buddy of theirs. She named my little half-brother after Steve and Uncle Seymour, the old black man from Clarksville in the video weeping with Townes. I knew them as people with all their flaws but their music still stands up even if my childhood was kinda horrific because of those hellions.
Awesome story. I actually love Guy Clark’s music — the optimistic and romantic stuff the most — because they were hellions and far from perfect. It’s how I relate to their stories because well, I imagine I’m quite the hellion romantic myself. Seeing life in all its imperfections and with my own faults on display as something worthy and noble and beautiful is the key to a happy life imo. Something in their music connects me to that idea.- 1

Love all the classic folks. In terms of the current generation, I've been following Robert Ellis (lives in Austin, tours globally) the past few years and have really enjoyed where he has been going.
Most recently saw him doing a duet at Cactus Cafe. Just one condenser mic for two guitars + two vocals and was blown away by the intimacy that a low volume show provided. Fantastic with the full band (Houston guys) as well.
man the cactus cafe is an absolutely amazing venue. I need to get over there more but I'll admit I don't recognize the names much these days. I'm gonna check out Robert Ellis though.

You're going to be pretty lonely there.
Shit I’m a week early !! Thank god I posted it. Damn. Well next week then ! Will take my boys to the park and pretend we are the horns while taking some batting practice. -
Taking my boys to the game tonight... fuck the “it’s a school night” bullshit. Last day is in two weeks, we’re checking out starting .... tod..., a few weeks ago!
Go Horns! Beat the toads! -
Listening to levelland by James McMurtry today. Bad ass song. Slid my hand up my girl’s thigh for the first time listening to REK’s version the first time I heard it. So it has special meaning to me.

a lot of people are saying good things about Brandi Carlile's cover of take me home
She’s as good as they get. Hard core lezzie crush on that woman. The story is a top 5 album on my list. -
Looking for discussion re shows, albums new and old and all relevant information.... inspiration tonight - listening to Together at the Bluebird Cafe with Townes, Guy and Steve Earle - might be the best album of all time.
Didn’t see a thread and I’d be hard pressed to find a genre of music more important and enjoyable in my life than this, so let’s get it going ...

Guy Clark’s cover of To Live is to Fly (TVZ)

Sunday was shocking. I wasn't able to watch the game. Checking the game thread once every 30 or whatever minutes you'd swear to god we were getting swept by someone like Lamar. Nope. Just took 2 of 3 from a top 10 team on the road
We’re back!! -
It sounded outlandish to say that there were pro-Trump bots/paid trolls posting at first. Over time, some of the little stuff definitely implied something was seriously off. Some of them made a lot of basic grammatical mistakes or english usage errors that made them sound foreign.
We're now getting a lot of media reports that the Russians were paying people to post on Reddit, along with other sites. Given how extensive the attempts were in other areas, plus how we're just now finding out about message board imposters, it's plausible.
If this is true then we need to better police the board and if there is suspicion of meddling or paid posters or bots those posters should be nuked. On both sides. -
Anyone shared reviews of imposters ? I’m enjoying it. It’s funny and unpredictable. Keeps my attention. Leading lady is hot hot hot.

Troph can you share some aqueous pics of your Axis with us yet?
It goes in the water this Friday I’m told!! Taking the day off... so yes ... very soon! -
YoY 8% at least if you’re the CEO and want to attract PE for a fairly large (e.g. >$3bn) transaction.Or we're gonna have to circle back, hit some milestones, and think outside the box. -
I once disclosed the details of a board meeting on a message board and then got sued for breach of my fiduciary duties. It was a lot of fun, I’d do it again for sure.

I drank some gin and started trolling brew and troph. More successfully than I had anticipated I might add.
Related, middle class is the new best insult. I think communist will always be number one, but middle class is running a close second at the moment.
P.S. Jet Skis still suck.
You can’t stop can you? I was never upset by your jackassery. And you’re still acting like a jackass. Please stop shitting on our thread. Kthxbai.
