  1. If Traylor does end up being their guy, the national perception will definitely be that Elko said "No".
  2. I'm going with the last 3 games have been lookahead games as Texas had this game circled since summer. Hoping we play the 1st half twice this game.
  3. And then Arkansas announces Barry Odom returning to be the HC
  4. I'm even dumber, but I'd also think getting drafted to a team that doesn't need you to start soon would give him time to heal up and work on his craft without risk of another setback. If NFL pans out he'd be that much ahead of getting off his rookie contract as well. As much as it would be great to have him back I'm not sure that it makes the most sense for him. It's all going to come down to how he finishes and conversations he has with teams pre-draft.
  5. Dabo is playing it cool hoping the Duke job opens up
  6. yeah, we're about to find out if he's the family man he portrays. I can't imagine his family would be excited to go back to College Station given where they are now.
  7. Traylor would be great fit, but no way aggy would give him enough time to be successful making the jump up to a P5.
  8. I think it goes down the 25th. If you don't have someone pencil to paper ready to go I think it's better for your program to let the coach finish the year out. Most coaches you are looking at aren't going to talk to you until then anyway. Make it easier for everyone.
  9. His delivery seems pretty clear - no coach speak
  10. He does have 6 National Championships, but I can't see aggy going all in on a 33 year old without head coaching experience. after typing it all in it now seems more plausible
  11. This is where I'm at. Money? He's making a crap ton now, I would think A&M would have to looking at a $10M+/yr type longer term deal minimum. From what Lanning has said too I think his wife and kids would nix a move. They are in that middle school / high school time frame and tired of moving. I don't think money alone is going to do it and College Station vs Eugene.. c'mon.
  12. Here are the 3 recruiting classes prior to Deboer taking over Washington and Elko taking over Duke: 33 - 4&5*s vs 1 - 4&5*, I'd expect Washington to fair a little better against top 25
  13. True, but one is coaching at a basketball school, the other a football school, it's not an apple to apple comparison
  14. Deboer has as much or more risk than Elko. His 4 years of FBS has consistent of having 2 NFL talent QBs. (Haener and soon to be Penix Jr.) Traylor has Harris Elko has Leonard Lanning has Nix Risk all around.
  15. Sounds like you need me to watch over the place while you're not there. Not a problem. Seriously though Jif Corn Bread Mix and Baking soda. Search YouTube for it. Can put in medium tupperware container with hole cut in side (get containers at dollar tree etc). Rats go in and eat the tasty mix and then later when they drink/digest the baking soda / stomach acid mixture ends up killing them.
  16. How many of those coaches still on the list if they didn't have the same QB they have had the past 2 years?
  17. Imagine what James Madison could do with $76M
  18. The fact that Luicci/Texags is that connected to the boosters and university that he would sit on that story is full on aggy crazy.
  19. Next coach current betting odds from SportsBetting.ag: Lane Kiffin 5/1 Dan Lanning 6/1 Mike Elko 7/1 Mike Norvell 7/1 Jeff Traylor 10/1 Kalen DeBoer 10/1 James Franklin 12/1 Chris Klieman 14/1 Dan Campbell 14/1 Dan Quinn 14/1 Kliff Kingsbury 14/1 Sonny Dykes 14/1 Glen Schumann 16/1 Jonathan Smith 16/1 Deion Sanders 20/1 Jedd Fisch 20/1 Lance Leipold 20/1 Sherrone Moore 20/1 Urban Meyer 20/1 Bill Belichick 50/1 Jim Harbaugh 50/1
  20. once one or two more enter... locker room chatter and FOMO will hopefully take over
  21. Had to re-watch this one, but the ref we see motioning didn't have the spot on this play, was ref on other side. The ball was spotted at the 43 for the first. (Still not sure he got to the 43, but was close). Optics definitely look bad though.
  22. I'm guessing it's just scouts questioning his ability to stay healthy. This year hasn't helped that.
